  1. i got a pair of these: http://www.audiotechnica-headphones.com.au...ucts/ad700.html from the UK on amazon.uk of all places alot cheaper to what they're sold in australia. saved on delivery as I had family coming back from there but i got them for around $150 at the time. currenty exchange rates etc. have probably changed the price a bit now though. I use the headphones for games and music/movies and find them very comfortable and have great sound. try before you buy if you can, people tend to go for different things in headphones etc.
  2. i put liquid nitrogen into my tyres. much better than air as it gives the feeling you are driving on ice
  3. +1 I'm looking to get a 2003 model 350GT 2 door coupe auto/triptronic and unfortunately one of the main factors involved in buying is where to get it serviced. I work on the southside of brisbane - somewhere close to there that could service the car would be ideal. What about a workshop/mechanic that say they can service a 350Z? From what I have read they share alot of similar parts and have the same engine etc.
  4. i live in the southside area will keep an eye out for it. Sounds dodgy as that they would leave it outside despite you telling them to have it inside. Wonder if it wasn't perhaps an insider job? - maybe an apprentice telling his mates about a "car" left outside overnight *wink wink nudge nudge*.... if it doesn't turn up hopefully you at least get compo for it
  5. when I first got my GTR it had a "mines" ECU. I had it checked out and it was a faulty standard ECU with a mines sticker on the side. It was causing the engine to run too rich and causing the spark plugs to foul up. This would characterise itself in the form of the engine cutting out, small to medium size plooms of black/brown smoke (unburnt fuel) out the exhaust and on ocassion complete stalls. Unbeknown to me I tried to have the standard ECU remapped but it was at this point after hours on the dyno I found out from another mechanic that the ECU was actually faulty and causing all sorts of missfire issues. Problem solved when I had the PFC fitted and tuned the AFM's were fine. not saying it's definately the ECU but if after you swap over both AFM's you are getting the same/similar problems you might need to look at the ECU after say spark plugs, and check coil packs etc. Cheers PS: R31nismoid did you get my pm?
  6. I thought HKS did do split dumps?
  7. nah mate it didn't have any viruses on it...... but then again I did buy it when I was in taipei and all the instructions are in chinese but yeah it had issues especially on kane's wrath whereby if you ran a different resolution from what you were running in windows it would crash randomly - this was a common problem that could only be fixed by changing in game resolution to your windows one (only reason I was running a lower ingame resolution was to improve frames per second as it was a big slow at times). Another issue I had was if I ran a skirmish game with any more than 3 computer AI opponents it would crash before starting. Alot of other people on gaming forums had the same problems as me and EA did nothing about it. My computer is about 3 years old but with upgrades etc. it does sit above the minimum specifications by a fair bit so theoretically it shouldn't have any issues. That said the resolution/crashing issue was reported by people with top of the line systems with 8800 gfx cards...... Anyhoo I hope RA3 is better RA2 wasn't that bad tbh
  8. I have a beta key for RA3 however I need to download it and so far havn't done so..... Seeing as it releases in a month I may not bother and just get the full game. For it to succeed in my book it just needs to be non-buggy. C&C3 and kane's wrath expansion was so buggy to the point I raged and uninstalled it a month ago to never play it again. With EA taking over all the companies that make decent games and then monopolising and marketing the new games it makes for alot of mediocrity..... I hope RA3 is something that EA does a good job with
  9. I have the same problem with my mirrors they won't fold in. They did a year or so ago and then didn't work. I think it might be the case of a wire or something has come lose as when you click the switch nothing happens not even a motor noise it's as if it's completely dead?
  10. I have a small discrepancy between my speedometer and the speed that the PFC displays. it's out by maybe 3-5km/hr. I do have an aftermarket cluster however so I think it's because of that, it doesn't concern me too much though. See if you can have a look at it or get someone electronically minded to look at it for you before you buy it. See if it's repairable or possibly if there are other more major things wrong with it that the seller hasn't mentioned. $450 is very cheap (depending on age) especially if it comes with a hand controller. But then again $450 is very expensive for a PFC that doesn't work.....
  11. I'm hoping to get some mods and a tune done later in the year so I'll keep an eye out for it and see if it gets worse or better. if worse I'll try the grounding/earthing kit. for now if it miss-behaves I just tell the concerned passenger that I either ran over something or pretend nothing happened
  12. It might be something that is different for everyone. It might require different fixes for different people. For me I'm almost convinced it's an electrical problem. I've recently replaced a cracked battery terminal and have noticed that it does it less often. might sound rather qualitative however it was doing it before say 2 times a day (and I would drive maybe 20 mins a day?) whereas now it has done it once in the last week, and was very minor. I'm going to keep an eye on it, if it gets worse or still bothers me I'll look at getting a grounding/earthing kit from HKS installed. Cheers guys and GL with your fixes
  13. yeah i'm starting to pull my hair out on this one, i have re-earthed everything and to no avail. is there anything that can be changed with the software? such as re-flashing it? and then re-tuning it? if so I'm willing to do that as the only other thing that I can think would be an issue would be the TPS. but when I had my old ECU it didn't do this.....
  14. It's a 1989 model and I checked out your lancer which I would imagine you'd be putting up for a swap and I'd have to say I'd be needing to send cash your way ontop of my car, which ufortunately I cannot do. Sorry. I would be interested in a 05 or 06 model car, just a run about something small and new. But other than that just cash for now cheers for your interest though
