  1. Bout lunch time today at homeworld carpark spotted a very similar r33 to mine. So much so that I wasn't paying too much attention and I had walked up to it trying to disarm it thinking it was my car! (my car being parked in the next row). Silver SII R33 with Starcorp Impuls and exhaust. Main difference between it and my car it had untinted windows, different skirts and a SAU sticker on the back window :D

  2. Thanks for all the replies guys.

Yeah a CBR250RR seems to be the way im leaning, highly recommended.......though most say to go for the Oz delivered version not imported. I'll do some more research on www.cbr250.com

Haven't heard of the other bikes but i'll do some research (google is my friend).

BNR32t...I think the CB250 was what i had to do the stay upright course on, not wrong about it being slow. I may be interested, did you want to PM me details?

    Thanks to all.

  3. Hey Guys,

I know not the best place to ask but thought it would be worth a start.

Recently been thinking about the amount of k's that i have been clocking up on the line and was looking at an altenative cheap runaround.

Just did my bike stay upright course so was looking at a cheap ('L' Legal) bike that i could use....being that i know NOTHING about bikes anyone have any suggestions about models and prices (i've noticed that bikes tend to retain their value!!).

At this stage i've been looking at ZZR and CBR as they seem to be most recommended but would be interested in hearing any other suggestions (no i'm not the postie bike type!).

    cheers

  4. hi Guys,

Have a fairly stock R33 with a TRUST PE2 exhaust and hi-flow cat.....only piece missing with the exhaust is the downpipe from turbo to cat.

Wondering from ppl's experience whether it is worth doing (say 3' pipe) or might just leave it stock.

Also whether it is expected to get much louder with it?

    cheers

  5. Hi guys,

quick note to say that i got Marc to help me out at the belco store.

Big thanks to Marc and the guys at the store who were very helpful!!!!!

Wow...never knew that an r33 actually handled :P

  6. Hi Guys,

Looking at buying some new / slightly used tyres as wondering where others shop in canberra?

I've decided on 235/40/18 but didnt want to go overboard with price...

    Any recommendations appreciated

    cheers

  7. I noticed two of the new ones have been installed facing both north and south on the Parkway (just north of the Cotter Rd over pass). Does anyone know if these are live yet because the signs haven't been erected???

Has anyone else noticed if any of the other ones have been installed yet?

Noticed one on Federal highway heading towards civic, just before you hit the round about (in front of the formula hotel i think).

Its a little hidden as its behind all other signage and i didnt see any speed camera warning signs!

  8. yeah i agree i would have preferred a little wider on back but didnt have too much of a choice

I might go 235 tyres on back and stick with 225 on front.

So you find that a long reach socket actually fits? (none of mine do).

I wonder if they make wheel braces with ultra thing walls

  9. ok kinda forgot i posted this!

I ended up picking up a set of wheels that i was after from sydney.... thanks for all the offers.

Now im just chasing some "legal" rubber and whatever wheel nuts i need to fit them!! (std nuts wont allow wheel brace to fit).

  10. Hi All,

Just picked up some second hand rims and had some questions which i hope someone can help with!

firstly the wheels are as detailed here: http://www.tempetyres.com.au/products_clos...amp;part_no=295

    Basically my questions are:

    1) the wheels are 18*8.5 with an offset of 38 (all same) which with everything i have read seems to mean these will be ok ok for a SII R33

    2) I cant actually fit the wheels as the standard wheel nuts are a very tight fit (wheel brace does not fit)... something i didnt realise. Does this mean that i need a wheel brace with an extremely thin wall or are there wheel nuts that will better fit? If so can anyone give me idea of where to get and price?

    thanks in advance!

  11. Hi Guys,

With Rego coming up was thinking about a set of wheels for my r33.

Wasn't looking for anything too overboard but maybe something with decent rubber. Would specially be interested in something like a set of Starcorp 18'

Let me know what you have and price and a pic if you have one?

Thought i'd try locally before i had to look at the For Sale section

    cheers
