  1. Hi all,

My other car a mazda 626 2.2L turbo, is surging on de-exceleration second gear third gear etc. It wont do it at high rev's but about 3000rpm it will be like its putting on the brakes and taking them off quickly. Im unsure why its doing it.

Its had a new turbo new gearbox new diff new 4 point injection system, new tire rod ends new cv joints new steering rack FMIC POD Stinger ECU and full tune. (still runs like a piece) but its an old car. Bacially a new car apart from touching the engine.

But basically i cant work out why its started to do it, BTW it also has a small exhaust leak **maybe that has something to do with it**

Any ideas people please note em down on what i could try and do.

    Thanks for ur help

    Matt

  2. Guys,

I trying to tune my subs to get it sounding good deep base but still clear if u get what i mean.

    I got 2 x pioneer 12'' running them with a pioneer 700w mono amp.

The controlls on it are Low pass filter, bass EQ and Gain.

Not sure really whats the best to have them on.

Info on how they really work and maybe a few suggestions would be neat

  3. Guys,

Not sure really what im after.. I have a R33 Gts-T S1, Zort (3' dump to hi/flow cat 3.1/2' out, IC, Pod, New splitfire Coils, Sparkplugs and boost t @ 11.5psi. New RB25 Highflowed turbo, ECU or SAFC and Fuel pump to come.

Basically what i wanna know is what does the Powerfc do compared to a SAFC of some decription. I dont know what all the techincal setting do and how they work.

I want about 200kw or there abouts from the upgrades but do i really need a powerfc will i gain alot of power with one of these or will a SAFC do?

Just some serious thoughts please guys. If a SAFC is required what type and why?

    Cheers in advance

  4. Hi all

I have a 33 gtst 94 s1, I currently have a cat back zorst, and most other lines i hear have a higher pitch or throater sound if u wish. I gather its all to do with the turbo back system. Im running 3.1/2'' from the cat. So in order to get from the turbo back to the cat done. does anyone have any idea on a price???

And also will the power difference from cat back and turbo back (once done) will there be a difference??

    Thanks

  9. Nissans have no LTFT (long term fuel trim) capability, they are a dynamic system so only STFT (short term fuel trims) are learnt which means every time you power off it loses any of the changes it may have learnt. So in doing a reset it will do sweet f**k all in terms of fuel metering and most likely do nothing at all with ignition - but feel free to reset maybe it will fix you big end knock!!!

Ok now im confused, does anyone have proof or anything saying that disconnecting the battery or shorting out the fuse thing actually reset the ecu?

i know its a long thread that people have been reading but does any of these actually work?

I aint no mechanic but yeah im sure more then just me would like to know.

    Cheers M
