  1. Hi Rhys!

    I had a custom 3" dump/front pipe on my old 33 GTST

it sat at approx 110mm with lowered suspension and pumped tyres when i went over pits (i borrowed your front bar, as my 400R was sitting to low)

i dont remember there being any hangers holding the dump/front pipe its just bolted onto the turbo and exhaust

I think your only options are raise the car or change to another brand

  2. ide use a dog sled to be diffrent like rotor guys keep going on about the wankel n there better lol , i like rotorys tho ive had 2 ^_^

  4. Yeh +1 for manual conversion. I wouldn't sell it in the current market, you might as well give it away. Convert it to manual, then sell for bucket loads when the market goes back up :)

This is the used car market............... not shares or property

Spending 4k to convert it to a manual and hope to sell it for 20k?

doubtful as factory manual turbo coupes are around 20k these days

  5. I would imagine that the seller would be holding the vehicle for me until i inspected it (at least implied if not explicit)

if im flying over from XYZ, i cant imagine anyone going to the trouble of flying over and not request it be put on hold

either way i think this buyers fictional

  6. I don't see how. If he has not had any signed agreement with the other buyer than he is under no obligation to sell it to him.

In any case, you will probably find that there is no buyer from over east and the owner is just using that story to pressure you into buying. Why would the buyer be bringing 42k when the car is only advertised for 40.8k? Don't be pressured into buying it, make sure you buy it on your own terms.

Tough shit, that's the risk you take when you go on a trip like that. There is absolutely no obligation to sell to someone just because they are coming from further away. You sell to the person who has the cash, not the person willing to travel further.

How would you feel if you told a serious potential buyer that they couldn't have the car because someone was coming from over east to look at it, then the guy shows up and decides he doesn't want the car. Then you've lost the sale.

I'm unsure about the facts of this case but i put down a deposit, got the car inspected by a workshop, flew over to brisbane for a car

I'd sure be @#$%^&*() pissed if he sold it before i arrived and i'll definately get something out of him if he did.

If he agreeded via email to this "buyer" that he would hold it for him then his definately expected to hold onto it until it gets inspected

you dont have to sign an contract to enter into an agreement, your actions can be considered as intent

however i do agree with others that this buyer is fictional

  7. doesnt sound right.......

if someones bring cash to purchase it on tuesday, why would he sell it to you?

so the other guy can come here for nothing?

under law i believe thats a breach and he could get sued...

  8. I'd go slightly different to above...

    - 34N1s /gt-ss turbos

    - full exhaust

    - air filter

    - boost controller

    - turbo dumps

    - NIStune, or Power FC.

    - Cams if your the budget allows.

    - New clutch wouldn't go astray if needed...

Id go very similar to infamous_t

    400rwhp = Hi-flow stock turbos / 34 n1s/ -7s / GT-SS (all around the same HP, but a slight difference in response and price)

500hp range go -5s or 2530s (add injectors too)

    Full exhaust

    pods

    boost controller

    cam gears

nistune if your sticking with afm, haltech or vipec with MAP

New clutch is also recommended and your standard cooler will flow close to 500hp

A good launch and no mis-shifts should net a easy 12

PS. start saving for a rebuild too

  9. Your chasing 400-470rwhp

Thats pretty substantial imo, get some mahles or CPs

Mahles could be ordered from IPP around $830 AUD delivered which includes pistons, rings and pins

CPs are roughly $1300 locally i couldnt find a it cheaper overseas so i went for the Mahles and majority votes say Mahles are better
