Hi all, A few friends and I are on the hunt for locations to take some happy snaps of our rides. Having said that, maybe a thread for locations in and around Melbourne for day\dusk\night shots? Have found this carpark: Turn into Little Collins St from King or Williams St and car park on the left before Elizabeth St. Excellent white lighing, excellent grafitti and excellent surroundings being high rise buildings and construction site (at the moment). Item:Voltec rims. 2x 17x9 with 255x40x17 rubber and 2x 17x8 with 235x45x17 rubber Condition: Some rims have scuffs, others don't. Rubber is 95% on 17x8 and 70% on 17x9. Just had rego + roadworthy - rubber is legal. Voltec Inter Milano rims, they look good but didn't fit the guards on a GTR very well. Would be suited to a GTS or GTST. Pics off the rims below and even one with them on the car just before they were replaced. You'll see what I mean about them not fitting well on a GTR and are more suited to a GTS or GTST. Must sell, have purchased new car and is now sitting in my driveway doing nothing. Has slotted rotors with EBC Green Stuff pads. Tyres are near new - approx 85% tread. Has black driver's side mirror - was snapped off, wasn't able to find a white one so it now has a black ear. Has scuffed rims and some minor body damage, some my fault and others not. Basically daily driver wear and tear. New fuel pump. Reco motor put in at 183500 KMs, regularly services besides in the last three months. Radiator pressure tested and flushed when motor was replaced. All fluids changed when reco motor were replcaed (tranny, diff, brakes etc). Selling with Sony Xplode head unit, but no speakers. No major damage, all easily fixed. Just want to sell (so I can buy bits for my new car! Have bought Skyline). Selling as is, no RWC - will not need much if anything at all. Item: Alpine MDA-7767J Mini Disc head unit and Pioneer GM-X354 4ch amp Condition: Work just fine! Price: $250 ono Location: VIC, Melbourne - NW suburb Contact: PM or phone 0438 272 835 Comments: Recently bought a new car with these items in it. I have replaced the amp and head unit and these are now collecting dust. The Alpine head unit will need an FM converter to work with Aussie frequencies. None of the loom wires on the head unit have been cut and are all factory labeled. The Pioneer amp seems to have a sticker removed from it. A quick Google and it seems to push 70 watts per channel - 4 channel amp. Both were hooked up to the stock speakers. Front speakers ran from the deck and the back speakers from the amp. Before replacing the head unit and amp I used it for a short time on some 6x9s and sounded fine. PM or phone me if interested. Cheers, James

Got a 95 model GTR and as topic ask, after the stock intercooler piping? Particulary after the one going from the cooler to the plenum, but happy to pick up both sides. I'm in Melbourne, happy to pay postage or drive for a pickup. PM me please! Cheers, James

Truth be said, I am just after one pipe that goes from the cooler to the plenum chamber. There is nothing wrong with the ones that are one there, I just want one spare for when I drill into it for a water\metho injections setup. I'm even happy for 2nd hand, oh well.. a post for the 'WTB" section coming.

Thanks djr81. I though it would have been the "easy" answer, but just wanted to confirm. Does anyone know, for standard ride height, how wide the rubber can be for the front tyres on an 18" rim? I'm concerend about the tyre rubbing in the front guard.... Cheers again.

Hi, I have recently purchased a 95 GTR (V Spec if it matters) and reading form threads and speaking to a friend who track races a WRX I am quite confused about what size tyres I should buy. I have purchased new rims - 18x9.5 (+15 offset) to replace the staggered (UGLY) mismatched rims sizes that came on the car - 17x9 at the back and 17x8 at the front. My tyre guy (who I have been seeing for years for my Silvia) is really pushing staggered sizes. 265x40 for the back and 235\245x40 for the front. He supplies rubber to some team who races GTRs and is just going from this. He was honest and said that he isn't an expert but as long as the rolling diameter is the same, then it should all be OK. Also with the GTR being mainly rear wheel drive then then again, shouldn't be a problem. Forum threads\Google have touched on keeping the rim size the same but never mentioned tyre sizes. Again, form threads I've read say to keep the same rubber all round, and to watch out for different wear, but again nothing about rubber size. And all threads relate back to the ATTESA AWD not ike it. I'm curious to find out what current GTR drivers have with regards to rim sizes and tyre sizes? I've read the stock GTR rim is 17x9 with 245s all round and just from that am inclined to get 245s all round too. I am more than happy to be corrected, but I just want what is best for the car. Do 255s fit in the front guard without rolling the guards? 255s would be nice all round as well... Any help from people in the know would be appreciated.
