  2. Finally got around to taking some new pics: http://members.optusnet.com.au/damimess/GTR/
  3. Anyone? I dont want to have to return it back to stock but its looking that way. This is a seriously clean GTR and there is not much intrest? people rather the thrashed out examples for 24k? Bump!
  4. PRICE DROP 28K!!! now on carsales.com
  5. Bump, any offers? no R33 GTRs on the first page....
  6. Guys I take back what I said! They to rub a little front and back (I think) I just noticed when I got home. Only on full lock on the front and rear plastics surrounding the front wheel, they are no where near the guards or any suspension components. I hope that helps people in the future. To be honest I am quiet disappointed they run but I don’t think its enough to make a big deal about as its extremely small. The noise is so little that I could not even hear it. I think after a spirited drives the rubbing will go.
  7. The guy at the tyre shop i have been using said he thinks they should fit, BUT if anything they may scrape at the front on full lock for the first few k's so after a one wheel dummy fit we went ahead and did them. Amazingly however they do not scrape at all. I went on the dunlop website and 9" was the minimum rim width for their 275 so all is good I guess. I will let you guys know how i go. Thanks for the input. BTW: tyres are sp9000
  8. I think the offset is +18 There are a few markings on the back: 18x9J 18 H/2 AVS18-1 94/5 The wheels are Yoko AVS model 6. Thanks in advanaced.
  9. Hey guys, the time has come to change the tyres on the GTR and I currently have 256/35-18 but am thinking I would not mind going a little wider and with a little more profile. The car sits quiet low and if I decide to put my coilovers back in then it will sit even lower so I think the profile will give the car some much needed height. Apart from that I think the 40 will make it a little nicer to drive everyday? My main question is do you guys think they will fit or should I sick with the 256/35/18? From what I can gather there will be approx 3.8% delay in the Speedo from stock but that doesn’t worry me too much. I just don’t want any scraping. Thanks in advance. PS: wheels are 18x9.5 (not sure of offset)
  10. EDIT: Oh forgot to mention Sard FPR I am sure there is a heap of things i will remember as the days pass BUT i cant work out how to edit my original add so bare with me untill i work it out. Damien.
  11. Make:Nissan Model:95' Skyline R33 GTR Vspec Milage:90k Transmission:Manual Colour:Silver Location:Sydney Complied?Yes AS PERSONAL IMPORT (yellow plate) RWC supplied?Yes Currently registered?Yes 10/7/09 Price:$30,000 Contact: Damien on 0404101022 (PLEASE DO NOT CALL OFF A PRIVATE NUMBER) Comments / Modifications: After lots of umming and ahhing I think I have decided to sell my GTR. It is a 1995 R33 V-Spec which was hand-picked and personally imported in 1999 by the previous owner. For those of you who do not know, a personally imported vehicle must be owned for 12 months in Japan by the owner before it is eligible for import. Thus, you can imagine personal imports tend to be of a higher quality than other imports. On top of this “yellow plates” have some neat advantages over regular imports in most states of Australia whereby they do not need to comply with certain ADRs (you’ll need to contact your local authorities to clarify). The owner before me has sensibly and significantly modified the car with the main focus being reliability and performance. Much money has been spent on quality and reliability modifications. Almost all standard parts have been retained and will be sold with the car (depending on the price). The car has also been extremely well maintained, tuned and serviced by UAS before I purchased the car in 07. Since then I have spent much time and money getting the car how I want it (more every day friendly). There is no accident history on this car at all and serious buyers are very welcome to inspect the body and mechanicals. Engine: R33 N1 turbos Tomei Poncam B camshafts (stock cams will be included with sale) Tomei adjustable cam gears (stock cams gears will be included with sale) Tomei timing belt Tomei oil orifice Trust oil cooler Trust intercooler (extremely thick) Custom large capacity brass radiator Custom aluminium re-circulating catch can (with integrated washer bottle) Custom 8L baffled sump with cooling wings Nismo engine mounts Silicone heater hose set (ALL heater hoses are blue silicone) New genuine Nissan water pump, timing pullies and other items here and there. Drive line: Lightened flywheel UAS heavy duty single plate clutch (very nice to drive with) Nismo gearbox mount 18x9.5’ Advan AVS Model 6 wheels (very light and strong) Suspension and brakes: Tanabe Sus-tec PRO coilover suspension (stock suspension is in at the moment because I prefer the softer ride for every day driving BUT if you like I can arrange to have the coilovers put in before the sale) Pagid racing pads (front and rear, stock brake pads will be included with sale) Stereo: Kenwood 25th anniversary deck Boston acoustics GT42 4ch amp Dynaudio MKII front splits JL audio W6 subwoofer Kenwood rear fill Others: Apexi Power FC W HC (stock computer will be included with the sale) Apexi Power FC Boost control kit Duncan’s locally made Attessa controller Nismo 300 kph instrument cluster (Showing 36, 000km but I still have the original with around 50, 000km on it which will be included with the sale) Blitz Boost gauge mounted on A pillar Dual 2.5’ SS Japanese exhaust system off the turbo (amazing) Nismo clear side indicators Tinted windows Quick Track alarm system Stats: 305 rwkw on UAS dyno on 1 bar boost (dyno sheets to prove) 307 rwkw on Uni Group dyno on 13.5 Psi (dyno sheets to prove) Since the above two Uni Group have detuned the car to 285 rwkw to improve fuel consumption at my request. The original tunes are available at Uni Group and UAS if the purchaser wishes to restore either of these. If the injectors, pump and AFM were changed both tuners agree that the car could jump the 350rwkw mark. Images: I will post up some better ones ad soon as i get a chance. The first few are how the car looks at the moment with the stock suspension, the second pics are how it looks with the coilovers in. + a few more NO TEST DRIVES thanks. Damien.
  12. Hey SK, springs in my old tanabe coilovers which I am thinking of putting back in measure like this: Front: ID: 62mm Wire OD: 11.5mm # Turns: 6.9 (2 sacrificial coils i think) Rear: ID: 61mm Wire OD: 11mm # Turns: 7.8 (2 sacrificial coils i think) Some measurements seem odd but with digital callipers its difficult to get an repetitive reading, it seems that with the fronts they were thicker in the middle then the top and bottom but only by .5 mm so I just ignored it. Also the top and bottom of the coil are manipulated flat (2 sacrificial coils i think) so I don’t know if that affects anything but I would say most coilover springs are like that. They also have the little helper spring but as mentioned earlier that holds the main spring in and doesn’t affect the spring rate? Do you know anything about the tanabe coilover shocks? They are height adjustable but not damper adjustable and are from the sus tec pro range (many years old). Thanks in advance!
