  1. thanks for hte replies guys, but i guess what im trying to ask is what kind of influence on ride / handling will different sized rubber stretched over the rim produce?

for example will wider tyres cause the car to tramline more, or will they provide more grip? what are the advantages/disadvantages of going the wider or the narrower tyre on the rim?

    Cheers,

    Dave

  2. Hi guys,

Quick question, I'm goin to get some Yokohama Advan v103's fitted this weekend, and am currently running 17 x 9 te37's, jsut wondering what would be the best width to go for 245 or 255, and what differences the extra 10 mil will make in handling / ride quality.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Dave.

  3. They aren't actually rated by horsepower, they are rated by their flow rate and pressure at which they flow fuel.

040's are rated at 168 litres per hour at a pressure of 5 bar, generally this is good for between 350 - 400 hp, which is why ppl say they are rated at 380hp etc.

    still for sale!

    Cheers,

    Dave

  4. Hi guys,

I've narrowed it down to three tyres to chuck on my gtr:

    Hankook ventus k104's

    Falken Azenis RT615's

    or the Maxxis MA-Z1's

has anyone had experience with all 3 or two of the above, and how you would rate the three? I know the Azensis are more like an R compound tyre, but they seem quite popular for road use, I don't know what to go for.

Current tyres are Pirelli Pzero Rosso's on the front and k104's on the back, but they are completely shot and have no grip at all, car is a sideways monster :)

  5. Dave if you need help of how to bleed it probably i can.
