[Sticker Translation's]

Hi there all,

Please could anyone help me out with the following translation of a sticker on the bonnet. I gather that it is to do with the engine oil grade and duration of service intervals but i would really like to know exactly what they are informing us about the oils.

First row: every 12 month or 15000km need to change engine oil. perfer to SG, SH and SJ level. (I always use SM level which is the highest for normal use.)

Second row: I GUESS, transmaction oil, must use the NISSAN Matic-J. DONOT use NISSAN Matic-D.

Third row: No idea.

Hang on a minute, i forgot to ask

The bulb that died is the low beam, so would that make it a D2S or a D2R?

Oh and all the links you guys gave pointed to HID ones. I don't really understand the difference between HID and Xenons. Can someone enlighten me?

If you have 2003 head light, it will be D2R

If you have 2006+ projector it will be D2S.

On cars HID=XEON. May different for other area which I don't know.

[Iphone Bluetooth Gps Display On Oem Screen]

Hi,

Has anyone had a play with an iPhone and an external GPS unit ?

There is an App out called RoqyGPS that allows you to use an External GPS unit via bluetooth for all the navigation apps that iPhone currently have like Tom Tom and Navigon.

An external GPS which you can pickup for around $50 on ebay is alot better than the current GPS unit/chip inside the iPhone, reviews state there is no lag and one user even compared it to there stand alone Tom Tom GPS unit and said they worked identically, Also you can use these on older 2G iPhone that do not come with GPS.

Ideally I would love to run the iPhone through to the OEM screen through the leads C Rogers can supply plus another App that is out (Screen Splitr) but the problem I am running into is how to answer calls while the iPhone is sending AV output through to the OEM screen

I cannot use a portable bluetooth handsfree kit as the iPhones bluetooth is being used for External Bluetooth GPS.

There is a Non-Bluetooth GPS Receiver for the iPhone that I have seen called the GPS360 that plugs into the dock/bottom of the iPhone but this would not allow the plug for the AV output to be plugged into the iPhone.

I am not worried about touching the iPhone to answer calls or enter addresses and am waiting for a reply from Chris to see if when you answer the iPhone while AV is being outputted will you hear the call through the Cars Speakers... So I have also looked into an external mic for the iPhone which will work in this case but the problem here is all the info I read about external mics is that audio is transmitted to the headphone jack as the iPhone thinks headphones are plugged in.

If anyone has overcome this problem (not with a complete standalone GPS unit, I want to use the OEM Screen ) , Or has any other ideas. Please post I am pretty much googled.

I guess, the easies answer will be: Set you IP to auto anwer income call model, connect the mic to dock.

BTW, End of day, you may need to repaired it or replace it. Member Si long Bao have a working BOSE unit for sale. I believe it will be easier for your to replace it.

Just checked and what your saying sounds right, as there is not a separate colour code for each part for the metal fender in fast. Wheras with the bumpers there is.

BTW, 1 weeks after my repair job completed, My smash repair shop call me said: the demaged bumper I replaced ( Not the bad damaged, still repairable) has been stolen from shop's rubbish bin. The shop owner was very surprised that how popular this bumper is, someone even would to steal a damaged one. LOL

You mean you think it comes in primer? Well the rear bumper I just got is actually painted pearl white.

When I bought my front aero bar a few years ago, in Fast there is a different part code for each colour. I ordered the part number for my car and the bar came painted from the factory correctly.

This time I left it to the dealer after a recent accident and they've ordered the part number for a white bar. Now they are telling me that is the only colour they can get, even though they didn't order the correct part number.

So before I go any further, I just want to double-check with a few others that have had accidents.

Last time when I get accident, I order a new front bumper and passanger side front quad fender. The bumper came with factory silver paint. the fender does not. No idea why. I assume the bumper is plastic so Nissan think their facotry can do painting job better?

Brand is BC racing, F 8kg R 6kg, I set it to the softest. not to much different with factory on comfort but do corner a bit better.
