hey dude i work at speedworks and as ken pointed out the place has changed hands and one of the office members has been in europe over the xmas break so we have been flat out trying to sort out new computer systems and of course get all the work done. It is sometimes easier to drop in and see us. Our work load is a little easier now so give us a call if u still need a quote done and we will jump straight onto it. I appolagise for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Cheers froggah

It is personal preferance who tunes your car obviously speedworks tuner sean does an excellent job tuning cars which produce the numbers. He is pretty much the only person in perth that i will let tune my car as do a large group of ppl in perth. best advice is go for a drive and go have a chat with the ppl who work at the workshops so you can pick one that you like as you will probably end up dealing with that workshop a fair bit.. give speedworks a call on 92428888 Apart from speedworks id recomend XSPEED or HYPERDRIVE (both have produced excellent cars) Kind of a free plug seeing as i work at speedworks hahaha

I have similar problem my car falls into a very big hole at full throttle over 4000rpm. I did also have a misfire but a dodgey coil pack was the cause of that. i have exchanged igniter module with a new one still no luck my next step is AFM. if no luck im getting an aftermarket ecu and split fire coils and hope like hell it fixes itself
-
Have you looked at any other ecu's apart from the link there are better alternatives.. not a real fan of link most of the cars we get in with links leave with a motec lol just personal opinion i guess
-
Cheers dude. I may have to ask some silly questions along the way once i have all the parts hopefully it will be a weekend out and in job. ill keep you posted

Does Mis-fire Actually Damage Anything?
FROGGAH replied to illusiVe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have this exact same problem atm in my cefiro i have a s1 rb25det running 10psi (it has been running 13psi) with fmic pod and 3" xorst i also have a 044 intank pump. I put the car on our dyno at work last week to check afr's because i suspected a worn pump they sit nicely between 11.2 and 11.8 (std ecu which is weird) we are leaning towards coil pack, ignitor or afm as i have replaced plugs with .6mm gap down from .8mm. i am installing a new afm tomorrow so ill keep you posted as to what happens. ill also start changing coil packs in a few days if the afm doesnt solve the problem. -
Hey guys been reading this thread for a while now almost an hour lol just a few qik questions... i have picked up an rb30 complete do i need a n/a rb25de head or can i use an rb25det head as there is one that has been ported and polished? vct or non vct also this rb30 has been rebuilt to std specs like 400kms ago is it worth just fitting the head and fix it if it breaks. I work in a performance workshop so rebuilding it is no problem i was just curious if anyone has pushed the std n/a 30 bottom end to breaking point? cheers
