What they could do is cut the flange off your standard extractors, weld that onto your Cobe's and bolt them in place
-
Yeah any exhaust place can do it, they also have to be welded to your existing exhaust system, as they don't bolt on at that end
-
I'd be keen to know the gains from having a S-AFC fitted to my NA Syline too... Anyone got one???
-
Pity, I can't change my vote
-
It cost me about $100 to get my Cobe extractors fitted, just to give you guys an idea... It took a little longer than I was expecting because they had to grind a side off all 12 of the washers, to miss the welds on the extractors.

3" is way to big for a NA 2.0 litre, I've got a 2 1/2" exhaust system on my 2.5 litre and I wouldn't go any bigger. If you're going to keep the car NA, get a hold of some extractors (there's a group buy set up at the moment, to get Cobe's for around the $300 mark), and if you're going to slap on a pod filter, make sure you sheild it so it doesn't suck in the hot air from around the engine.
At the end of the day though, you're pretty limited with what you can get out of the 2.0 litre engine.

And where's the R-32 GTS25 in the vote???
It has the best power to wieght of all non-turbo skylines!
-
I have some, but I'm on the east coast
-
The extractors come with the gasket, and they have the oxygen sensor input... But you will have to get them welded to your cat either way, as they don't bolt on at that end

I already had a 2 1/2 inch exhaust system before I got the extractors fitted, so I didn't notice a major leap in peak power. The big thing you'll notice is the improvement in torque, they make the engine far more flexible. I'm stoked with them, as I wasn't expecting much of an improvement.
When you get them they're painted bright orange, unfortunately after you run it the first time the orange paint flakes off. It's a shame, as I thought the orange pipes looked good sticking out the side of the engine.

For your info guys... When I bought my Cobe extractors (In NZ for my GTS25) I was told Cobe do not make different extractors for the RB20DE. The one set of extractors is used for both types of engine... I guess it's a happy medium.

Is there any benefit with installing an air/oil separator on a non-turbo car?
-
$7000 seems pretty expensive, I've got a couple of quotes and I was looking at $4000 - $4500. The quote for $4500 included being bored out to 3.2 litre, and new pistons (they weren't forged though).
Look around, you could get a turbo fitted as well for $7000
-
I've got the same extractors on my 32. The main thing I noticed was the increase in torque going through 3000 RPM, when before things were pretty quiet untill 4500 RPM.
Talk to Advanced Imports in Sydney if you're after them Greg, as they can get them through their Auckland store. I bought mine when I was in New Zealand for $280 kiwi.
-
I'm after the exhaust manifold, Turbo and intercooler... let me know of what price you're after
-
Cookm,
I'm keen to get one of those filters, but the sites don't seem to have specific kits for Skylines. Which model did you buy?
-
Mr R32,
I'm in the same boat, picked up my new skirts on Friday... Let me know what you find. I'm down in Nowra, but if you find a good deal, I'll make the trip to Sydney

if you do proceed with the Rb30/rb25t conversion, i am very interested in purchasing your extrators.
I bought them from NZ, and put them on 3 months ago. I've been stoked with them. To be honest I wasn't expecting a noticable improovement, but the torque increase is great. I will be happy to palm them off to you, when I go ahead with the RB25DET conversion.
-
Don't you need a different bonnet latch, if you're going to fit it to a GTSt???
-
I'm interested as well, is it still for sale? And it is Gunmetal Grey, right?
-
I have a set of R32 GTS rims available, they are the standard 15" x 6 1/2" set, with good tyres
-
Just upgraded my car to 5 stud, so I've got these parts left over... The brakes are a good improovement for anyone with a GTS Skyline (RB20DE) All are in good nick
Offers?
-
Have you tried looking for aftermarket cams for the RB25DE?... I'm interested in swaping mine over, (in an effort to get more horsepower) but had no luck finding any. Fill me in, if you know something I don't,
Cheers

Lambo,
I've just done the conversion to my R32 GTS25, you can buy the hubs complete, from SSS or Just Jap in Sydney... they are a straight forward swap over, the only problem is they cut the brake lines so I had to buy replacement lines for the rear, at $150... but you could get a locally made set of lines for about $60 if you didn't mind them not being perfect.
I swapped the diff over at the same time (to go to LSD) and the parts cost $2000 from SSS
That included:
4 x GTSt "Type M" Hubs
GTSt Viscous LSD
Half Shafts for new diff
If you didn't want the diff, it would cost btw $1000 - $1500
You're looking at about 6 hours labour to get it swapped over

I'm keen for one of your space saver tires, what's your address if I ever head up your way?
