3" is way to big for a NA 2.0 litre, I've got a 2 1/2" exhaust system on my 2.5 litre and I wouldn't go any bigger. If you're going to keep the car NA, get a hold of some extractors (there's a group buy set up at the moment, to get Cobe's for around the $300 mark), and if you're going to slap on a pod filter, make sure you sheild it so it doesn't suck in the hot air from around the engine.

At the end of the day though, you're pretty limited with what you can get out of the 2.0 litre engine.

I already had a 2 1/2 inch exhaust system before I got the extractors fitted, so I didn't notice a major leap in peak power. The big thing you'll notice is the improvement in torque, they make the engine far more flexible. I'm stoked with them, as I wasn't expecting much of an improvement.

When you get them they're painted bright orange, unfortunately after you run it the first time the orange paint flakes off. It's a shame, as I thought the orange pipes looked good sticking out the side of the engine.

  3. I've got the same extractors on my 32. The main thing I noticed was the increase in torque going through 3000 RPM, when before things were pretty quiet untill 4500 RPM.

Talk to Advanced Imports in Sydney if you're after them Greg, as they can get them through their Auckland store. I bought mine when I was in New Zealand for $280 kiwi.

if you do proceed with the Rb30/rb25t conversion, i am very interested in purchasing your extrators.

I bought them from NZ, and put them on 3 months ago. I've been stoked with them. To be honest I wasn't expecting a noticable improovement, but the torque increase is great. I will be happy to palm them off to you, when I go ahead with the RB25DET conversion.

  5. Lambo,

I've just done the conversion to my R32 GTS25, you can buy the hubs complete, from SSS or Just Jap in Sydney... they are a straight forward swap over, the only problem is they cut the brake lines so I had to buy replacement lines for the rear, at $150... but you could get a locally made set of lines for about $60 if you didn't mind them not being perfect.

I swapped the diff over at the same time (to go to LSD) and the parts cost $2000 from SSS

    That included:

    4 x GTSt "Type M" Hubs

    GTSt Viscous LSD

    Half Shafts for new diff

If you didn't want the diff, it would cost btw $1000 - $1500

You're looking at about 6 hours labour to get it swapped over
