  1. The way i see it is, that all this cheap energy from fossil fuels we're using is just putting back into the air what the planet tried to get rid of by burring.

From what i understand, all this oil was made when the planet was too warm, no ice at the poles and the oceans had an anoxic event. Marine life die, take carbon with them, get burred without decaying, get covered by sediment, get changed by heat and pressure over millions of years into oil then we come and dig it up. Burn it and release greenhouse gasses, increasing the temperature, which melts the poles and the circle goes on.

I was also a little alarmed that we may of already reached peak oil production. I feel a little bad driving the car now. I guess the GFC may of hid that.

And like people say, we're not going to stop using oil, look around you, everything is oil based. So what do we replace it with?

    Exactly.

    They get "free" credits.

Some of the highest polluting industry (coal power) as an example is set to get 90%-95% of their carbon credits...

FOR FREE AS A GOV'T SUBSIDY

So at the end of the day - we pay higher prices for everything and the purpose of this "carbon tax" essentially is pointless.

It won't promote new/better industry, jobs or any other that other bullshit if all the big polluters are basically getting of FREE!

It's an absolute farce of a system. Anyone that voted Labour or Greens should hang their heads in shame at this utterly pathetic decision.

The poor bastard/small business and normal Australians will feel the pinch more than anyone else as at the end of the day - WE are the ones paying more, and more - when the rest of the western world does sweet fck all about emissions.

    Well from what this says,

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_policy_of_Australia#Petroleum_subsidies

i think that $10.1 billion would also be a nice little earner for them.

They'll still still sell electricity, just at a higher cost, which we will be reimbursed,(not sure how that would work, tax time?)from the taxes the generators pay.

We need to get away from the idea of burning stuff, that's old school man. Nuclear is the way of the future, but yes, that has problems. Fusion? The sun can do it, how hard can it be?

  2. So's i order a jjr split dump/front pipe to finish off my dump pipe back 3 incher & i start puttin it in today.

Everythings going sweet, i get the oem dump pipe off & the aftermarket front pipe off, but then, because the jjr pipe doesn't have a kink in the front pipe like my old one, it wont line up with the cat without the muffler further down hitting the body work.

I took the rest of the exhaust off, hoping to make things fit as i bolted each section back on, but theres way too much of a gap to attatch it back to the body.

Would an exhaust place be able to bend my new pipe to put the kink in it? Cause i dont really wanna have to buy a new cat back.

Here's a pic off my old front pipe with the kink

    Thanks y'all.

Just need to know how the heck do i get the motor out? lol So many screws and do dads to yank at. Was'nt this complicated on my old 31 haha Dont wory, gentle is my middle name, actually its my last

  4. Thanks for the input people. Think I'll go for the JJR Stainless Split Dump Pipe from just jap. I'll ring them tomorrow to find out for sure, but anyone know what size they are? It don't say on website. Or just whatever size you ask for. Minimum 3 inch is what I'm after right?

  5. yeah i know that, but ive got the stock dumper on there atm and am getting a split 3 inch dump put on. Just wanted to know if i had a hi flow cat on there, or is it the stock one. Dont want any bottle necks in the exhaust. eg stock cat.
