  1. Hi all,

When having my car wheel aligned, the guys found that the passanger side rear steering arm is slightly bent.

They also noticed different lengths with the castor rods (however look like stock rods).... is this normal?

The guy was saying that the car would pull to the side quite badly unless I changed to an adjustible arm/or caster bush.

The car does not have any issues with steering or drivability - it actually handles like a dream!

Would the difference in rod length, or bend in the rear steering be a major issue if it drives well (seems to have even tyre wear too)?

    Cheers

  2. Hi guys, I realised my passenger side side indicator is not working, I have removed the cover/bulb, and there is no wiring!

I have removed the wheel arch cover and have looked behind the guard - and there are no wires -WTF???

Does anyone know where the indicator wires come from so I can tap into it?

    Or

Do you think I could just simply run a wire from the front indicator to power it?

    Thanks in advance

  3. another +1 for boostworx.

Its not that far from Prospect - I'm at Enfield and its only a 5min drive.

I've only had good experiences - prices are good, they explain everything, and are passionate about imports.

  5. Yep, happened to me the other week after putting the seat back in after 2 year lol..

Push the seat forward and recline it as if you were trying to get into the back seat. then twist the knob all the way (cant remember which way though). Pull the seat back into normal position and it should come good.

    Just as J'z-R33 said.

move the backrest forward, whilst in the forward position, wind the knob all the way - then its fixed!

    Cheers

  6. sounds like a job for WD40 :miner:

Good old WD40 - its good for everything!

I've tried turning the knob whilst the seat is in the forward position - and it wont budge - think I will try pulling it apart.

Has anyone done this? I dont want to stuff it up and be without a seat!!! If not I'll get someone to weld it in place!

  7. Hi, first of all, I'm not actually new to SAU, but really am new to actually posting things.

I have experienced two things today.

    1. the guys who reply to posts, share information, and help their fellow man (and especially the moderators) - you guys rock!!

    2. I never knew a person could be this happy - today I drove my new R32 GTR! I was pretty pleased with my R33GTST, but holy crap the GTR is insane!!!!!!!!

    Simple pleasures in life!

  8. You need to loosen the bolt holding the tensioner pulley itself on before it'll move up or down (air con). To loosen the PS bracket bolt you can fit a 14mm socket through one of the gaps in the pulley as long as it's rotated into the right position to do this.

Do you mean the idler pully? So the bolt in the centre of the pully needs to be loosened?

DanShirts - great quote from your dad!

"My dad told me this once: Somehow someone put that belt. You should be able to get it off"

    Cheers guys

  9. the idler pully for the aircon belt has a bolt behind it that is used to tension it and loosen it you need to acess it from under the car basically when your underneath looking up at the idler the head of the adjuster bolt is pointing at you towards the ground the aircon unit its self is fixed to the block and doesnt move

    Hi SWITZER,

I have loosened the adjuster bolts - but it still wont budge. I'm even thinking that the belts are too small for the car, meaning they have been adjusted as much as possible, therefore I cannot make them looser.

I was considering cutting the belt off then seeing if it can move (but if I'm wrong I wont beable to get a belt back on!)

So there are no other bolts that need to be loosened, just the adjuster bolts (one under the idler, and one under the power steering)?

  10. Hey,

    Also after RB26 coilpack cover.

    Send me a PM.

    Cheers.

    Edit:

    Thanks

  13. Hey crew,

I get roughtly 11-12L/100kms, and have even been in the 10s. Fuel per tank is about 500-550kms.

This is with 11psi, FMIC, Full exhaust, and a fairly heavy right foot when in the mood - frequently :P

I might be one of the lucky ones with my ECU by the sounds of things. Come to think of it, even with higher boost, I have never felt flatspot, or R&R, that is commonally mentioned.

  14. Update - Well the finger printing came back too smuged so no luck there. The car was found in a factory carpark near the edinbourgh defence force, behind gates of the business. Talking to one of the workers - it might have got stolen near shift change, so maybe someone stole it and bloody went to work there. Thankfully it was left over night and the gates were locked so noone could get to it.

Bloody lucky is all I can say.

But here is the lesson to learn - he had no alarm, immobiliser, and the worst part, no insurance. So to all of you out there beware, get yourselves bloody protected!

  15. The RX7 has been found!!!!!!!!!

Luckily there was bugger all petrol in it, and they didn't make it far (only the next suburb).

As far as I know (being finger printed right as I type), only the ignition is stuffed.

It is my mates car so all credit on the car I must say goes to him.

Cheers boys for your support, and the good news that another car has been recovered.
