  1. nah UHF we just sat on the passenger floor. made a mount for the aerial and bolted it to a standard guard mount bolt, ran wire in through the door seal.

car went fine, not a problem. had aircon on pretty much the entire trip, did an oil change in darwin before we came back.

fuel economy didnt improve on the open road like i thought it would. averaged 13.3L / 100k's.

I didnt think they'd make a car bra for a stagea?

  2. Got home 5am this morning. Cars got a few scars and its going to take me weeks to clean. Interior looks as nice as it would after having 2 people living out of it for 2 weeks. Belted 1 wallaby and had a few close calls on the way home, ABS kicked in a few times.

    But I got pics! :D

After hitting the wallaby. Popped the front bar out, scratched it a bit, needs a respray.

  3. lol i am familiar with this hey mitch ahaha.

hey matty is that white 31 wagon in ur sig from down port noarlunga area? i recon its just round the corner from me!

on my travels yesturday i spotted this.......how the Fcuk do u manage this!? all four wheels where like it too!

haha i seen that too. I can't remember where but somewhere near my work. I couldn't work out how that could happen

oh and seen 68UOM1, blue R34. Awesome car! And plates had my mum in stitches. I was in the stock stagea infront of u, cant remember the road, Park tce?

  4. Tree huggers stop reading now...

im heading up to the NT to blast the crap out of some feral donkeys and camels.

10 days of drunken random slaughter.

    should be fun.

yew. im going up to Nt too, darwin. there cant be that many stageas on SA plates there so say hi :santa:

  5. got a spare tyre in the boot cavity?

yeah, its only the standard space saver though - that reminds me i needa check the pressure of that.

ive done adelaide to melbourne 3 or 4 times in my old R31 Wagon last year.. That was a piece of piss, I'm hoping Darwin will be as easy, but longer.

  6. stock wheels, suspension and exhaust. They were on loan and I was going to buy them but the dude changed his mind.

plus, driving it to darwin in 2 weeks, coilovers are a bit bouncey for dirt roads

and they were only 18x9s, i dont think they looked big enough anyway

  7. So in 2 weeks me and my housemate are taking off to Darwin from Adelaide, driving up in my Stagea.

I'm fairly sure I've got everything covered, but wouldn't mind some suggestions of what to check on the car mechanically/electrically before we leave to try ensure we have a mis-hap free trip.

I've had the trans serviced, done an oil change, checked timing.. Was going to change timing belt but I'm fairly sure it was done recently - will be doing that once we get back either way.

Don't have any leaks and the cooling system was bleeded (is that a word? I think I meant bled), and coolant looks mint.

    Brake pads are all good.

DVD player is all good :D

Of course we'll be taking a tool kit, jack, etc.

Any suggestions for more things to check and test to make sure they wont fail? It's like 7000k's round trip, plus whatever driving we do in the 2 weeks we're up there

The only thing I think we've forgotten to organise is someone to feed the dog while we're gone

  8. I put the standard suspension back in my car and noticed a bolt is missing from the front caliper.

No idea where it went and I don't have anything to put back in it.

Can anyone help me out with supplying me another??

Don't care where it comes from, I'll pay for postage etc.

PS. Car is a S2 Stagea RS (RWD)

    Thanks

  9. My mate had a go at it last night. Said the buzzing noise was earthing out between the wires.

wrapped up the fat red wire in more electrical tape to insulate it, now they all work...

  10. Trying to chase a plug for my S2.

The one that the globe goes into, with xenon headlights.

I cracked mine on the edge where the connections are, now it don't work.

I don't mind buying one interstate if you can post. I'll take whatever I can get because Nissan can't sell me just that without an entire headlight.
