  1. this reminds me of myself, it was about 2 am on sunday morning on a big downhill straight on the freeway, well highway between branxton and singleton, i recently got my car up to 200km/h. i guess 263 is alot more then 200. and of course i don't drive a nissan turbo, but i'm sure in the market for one, r34 gtr or r32 gtr. i was going to go with a gt4, but i might as well go all out.

Sorry dude, but i think you are stupid and I hope someone else manages to take you off this planet before you have the chance to kill others

Population control for people who think like the above, you don't need a skyline, you need a bicycle or skateboard

  2. I wouldn't buy them man, they'll end up costing you round $2800 with current exchange rates, not sure if you have to pay tax too on top of that?

plus if you've got a series 1 you'll need some mods to fit and possibly a new front bumper/bonnet/grille, so yeah, upto you in the end I guess, but for nearly $3k you could get a nice power increase

  3. Sounds like he's exaggerating to be honest

The harmonic balancer doesn't go on the end of the cam, it goes on teh crank, the crank will be fine, unless they manage to somehow break it while removing the balancer, which is pretty hard to

If they have the bolt out, all they need to do is put the bolt back in, then use a crank puller or steering wheel puller, if it's still stuck after that, use a crowbar from behind, works everytime,

do you trust the mechanic? because there are a lot of dodgys out there, harmonic balancer removal usually only takes a few minuets at the most, crack the bolt with an air ratchet or use a breaker bar against the chassis rail, then unscrew the bolt halfway, get the pulley remover on it and away it comes

  4. Nissan do this, it means you have the special million dollar winning car,

Nah, but unscrew the 4 screws in the speedo, pull it out, check the speedo cable is plugged in properly, if it is, then check the sensor at the other end(gearbox end is still working, follow the cable up, sometimes they snap, if it's buggered just get a new speedo cable, if it's not, then you might need to take it to a mechanic, something must be stopping it from spinning)

  5. I'd got for a house since I've got one,

Getting rid of both my skylines to pay for alterations

I'm with Ronin though, no more new threads for andru, at least if he has a house he won't be driving on his P Plates crashing into innocent old ladies dropping their kids off at school in corollas, haha

  6. Nah i never finished it off  i got the shrouds sorted so they worked over here, but bought a house and it's cost me a lot more money than first expected and with petrol going up I've decided to move to something more economical, so I've started building the 1200, probably go with the ca18det and use it on the weekends mostly

but yeah, both skylines have been reverted back to standard, because a standard skyline over in NZ sells for more than a modded one in most cases :S

  7. yeah, HIDplanet are good

the FX35/45 projectors are cheap, the shrouds are easy to change to RHD for our roads but are a bit blurry in the cutoff line, but you can get accord projector lenses or similar TSX lenses to replace the FX35 lenses if you want a crisp cutoff.

They only cost liek $50 USD off ebay plus shipping

they take D2S bulbs, so you can get an H4 to D2S bulb kit and it'll fit in your old wiring, you can also wire it up to do low/high beam because it has a motor in the housing, so instead of flashing the bulbs off, it pulls the shroud down

I had them fitting in my old skyline lights, they are a 2.5" and fit nicely with a bit of cutting to the back of the headlight, probably takes half an hour to fit them if you hack them up a bit :D

I have since sold mine though, since I'm selling my skylines off, but I'm looking at picking up a Datto 1200 and putting a ca18det into it or rb20, so I'm still floating on these forums, I'll hopefully put custom HID projectors into the old datto headlights for a bit of fun too

  8. There was a guy on here who was thinking of doing one last year.

He had a good reason too, he was disabled, I think that it's an awesome idea for someone with limited mobility, to experience a GTR without being told you can't have an auto one.

I've seen a guy here in NZ driving a fully modified 600hp+ GTR with dog box, with one arm :S it was scary though

I'm trying to find the youtube vid now

  9. very gutted man, i've had my car broken into before, i feel your pain

yeah you gotta choose alarms carefully, that tekniques one only sells for like $150AU, should hit up a Dynatron or Dynamco over there i think they are called? 5-star it, did the siren go off at all the wake you up?

  10. that's slammed mate, you need a new car :S

mine was only half that bad and I should've written it off, looks like chassis damage to me

mine cost $4500 to repair + $1200 for the engine, on a car that i only paid $4500 for, so in the end, i paid $10200 for it, not worth it, write it off, sell it for parts and get a new car, did you have insurance?

if you did - claim on it, if you didn't - you live and learn, get it next time

  11. It's about time :D finally good to have a winner

Heard that Blu-ray has offered Toshiba/Microsoft a cheaper buy-in according to www.Gizmodo.com and there are rumours that the new Xbox360 model will come with a blu-ray based rom drive :S

yeah you are right about the storage, picture quality wise they are almost equal, with HD-dvd having a few extras like Picture in picture and some other options, but these are going to be included in the Blu-ray 2.0 update which I think has already been put out

  12. white one, it has a full M-spec bodykit, apart from the rear caps as pointed out above, the spotlight front bumpers are on most Mspecs, look out for the 4-pot front and 2-pot rear brakes which will confirm it is an mspec, whcih most GTS-ts are, well all the ones I've had in the past anyway

as having owned 5 skylines in the past, that red one looks like trouble....

    being an ex stolen car

$8k for an unrego'd or warranted car, he could've rego'd it and warranted it if there was nothign wrong and put the price up....

it just doesn't make sense, the mags are ugly and won't sell for as high as a set of stock R32 wheels, if the interior was replaced, the KMs might not be genuine on the speedo either

Or Big boys black one, although the kms are high, hopefully it's been looked after, or you could RB30 it or RB25 it if the engine blows :D
