  1. when i got the car fixed they had to put it on a rack.... with hydrolic leavers and all that shit, any ways its hooked up to a computer, with all the originals specs distance between this point and another from factory. to recieve a viv you must take this sheet of paper witch would say those specs are back to normal and not an inch out....... the cars safty standards where done and all that crap so when you hit a wall they know pretty much what would happen at any speed, but if your car is an inch out in places after a big wack then more damage could accure than normal.... alot of bs but thats what i was told.???

ill put up some pics of bit by bit how bad my car was when its finished.

  2. So VIV ONLY look at what damage was caused due to the accident and whether it has been repared properly and/or by a professional???

Because I have some things which might not be road worthy ...ie loud exhaust, small sports steering wheel etc.

some one help me out !!

yep they should only be looking at what was repaired and the repaire or panel shop has to fill out some form stating what was fixed and where they got the parts from....

you can do most of the work your self to save a bit of cash but let them do thye biggies like new towers and rails....

But after the viv you will then need a proper RWC so there goes your steering wheel and exhaust, id do this before you go to viv , try to make it look stock as a rock...... i wouldnt take any chances .. its scary stuff :D

  3. What if I the mechanic gives a road worthy certificate? Does VIV still need to test it and charge me?

yeah .. the viv isnt about the road worthy... its really to c if the car is repaird proply and not with a welder in your back yard on a friday night with a couple of cans and some mates........ i wish we could do that.

  4. 32's and 33's are so cheap now-a-days that it is more expensive to get repaired professionaly than it is to replace, unless you have a high agreed value on it,

yes and no.... i got the car of a mate and coz iam in the trade :P this r33 has turned out good .... for me to buy a r33 in good nic lets say 15000?? then a couple of mods maybe a respray let alone change colour id be up for big bucks .. but now i have a great car show condition custom paint and on road for 11 and a half with wheels ... isnt that ok? :P

  5. [ iam repairing a r33 as it was a repairable ride off and its at the mechanics now getting engine in.... i was goin to repair it myself coz iam a painter by trade but coz of the viv i took it to a genuine panel shop so if they do pull me up on the repairs it goes back to the panel shop and then they can deal with it...the only thing iam doin is changing the colour..... havnt gone for the viv just yet ... but yeah ive been told it is a pain in the ass and iam not looking forward to it. anyways good luck with that. :P

  6. I have a carbon fibre bonnet on my 32 and it's looking tired & faded. Got a detailer mate to give it a buff

up but nothing he had could bring it to life.We decided maybee the resin/clearcoat was too tuff to cut into?

Its an east bear bonnet & is staying on reguardless but it would be nice to bring it back to its former glory!

    any ideas? :(

well at work what we do to carbon f bonets and other pieces is chuck a coat of clear on them then it will be as shiny as the rest of the car... and i think it looks sick .... good luck :D

  7. Hi all,

I have an R33 S1 that I absolutely love... I have rebuilt the engine, etc so I don't want to get rid of it but I really love the look of the R333 S2 front!

My question is... How hard or easy is it to convert the fron part of my body to the S2 front?

I just love the S2 front, it's shaper and more defined..

I'd love the bonnet, front bar, etc...

Anybody know any info about doing this?

hey man if you find s2 headlights give us a bell on how much they r coz iam looking but carnt find em anywhere... except this one guy and he said 500 each????

  8. chuck it out in the sun while your at work for two days then rub it with some 1500 wet then 2000 .. you dont have to go sick with the rubn although i dont think you will break threw tha paint.... try and use a block so you wont get fingerr rubn marks....... then with a buff high speed first ... then chuck it on slow when the scratchez r gone to get a nice gloss.. good luck.

  9. hey, i was wondering how much one would expect to pay for a couple coats of clear (maybe with some peral). i haven't sourced any quotes yet but just wanted to get a rough idea. thinking maybe 3 coats with either peral or some flakes.

    cheers.

if any one paints you car they will put as many coats on as they please if you would like a flow caot then it could be a grand if your talking repair and colour maybe 3 grand and if you would like metal flake .... the bad stuff??? then theres major work then.. it could be 5 gs .. we have just done a R34 two tone pinstripe in and out with candy flames at the front ... i think we set him back like 9 grand ... if your cashed up then let your mind go wild..

let us know what you wont and ill tell ya if your getn RIPD. catch ya

  10. Hi guys, this is the story i dont like the stickers they came with the car. Its a clear sticker looks like a expensive one, each corner is so tight its not funny. I've used.

Heatgun, wax & grease remover, and turps nothing works.

Nothing has happened to the paint yet but im not got to respray a whole guard over one sticker. There has to be a product on the market which can eat this away. No way can it come off like a normal sticker.

I've added the picture cause now, ive made it look like shit lol and need to take it off completly.

Please let me know anything, but im not using anything that could harm my paint. and please only tell me on your experience not just a theory you heard off someone lol.

Anyway i hope you guys can help me out. Thanks
