I am the 2nd australian owner since it was imported here in 01/2006. The car is in excellent condition and i have serviced it every 5000ks (ngk iridium plugs, new oil filter, air filter, motul v300 oil). One of the best looking r33's around and sounds like no other car around. Have spent big $ on kit respray and chromies since i bought it. The car is very quick and clean looking and is all legal and has not attracted any unwanted attention since i have had it. I had big plans for this car but circimstances have changed and it has to go. Will throw in white face dials, boost controller and boost guage which i never got to play around with.   6. The car is under a mechanical warranty, which covers faulty parts, but the mechanic cant find what is faulty. So far, two coils have been replaced, and all the others have been extensively tested (but not in the car - how does that work?) and the plugs have been replaced. They check the coils using a megameter (or similar name), checks the resistance of the coil which tells em if its fu@#ed.
  7. the boosting feels really flat now, it sounds like its boosting and the guage(stock one) shows that the boost is increasing at 4.5rpm but the car doesnt seem to be picking up quick enough. Also at night when it gets cold, the boost almost gets up to the +7 on the stock guage which cant be good. i got fmic, turbo-back exhaust, stock ecu, no boost controller. Im going to take it in 4 a tune soon, hopefully they can sort it out.

  9. i had the same problem a while back and a set of iridium plugs fixed the problem perfectly, just got a front mount and exhaust installed and its back, possibly even worse than b4. Does anyone think it could be the fuel filter or fuel pump?
  10. got my front mount and exhaust installed, left the cat guts in, i agree its not worth the risk for a few extra kw's. Got a whole new bunch of problems now, yipee!
  11. i have irridium plugs gapped to .8 and i have checked my coils, they are fine. Its weird coz it never happens in 1st even when i redline, the higher the gear the more it pops. Im getting a boost guage installed on the weekend because my stock boost is almost getting to the +7 mark on my stock boost guage, which is alot of boost for just front mount and exhaust. Also my solenoid isnt connected to a nipple at the moment as the new kit didnt have one so its setup with some sort bypass at the moment.
  12. I have an R33 gts-t which used to pop like crazy at 4.5rpm got irridium plugs which solved the problem. I recently got front mount and exhaust put it so naturally the car is boosting alot higher now and the popping/missfire is back. Alot of people have told me its just the timing and i should get it tuned up. The popping or missfire isnt as bad as before, it doesnt always happen or when it does if i hammer it and i keep the revs above 4.5grand within gear changes it doesnt do it either. I have been told that the stock ecu tunes itself and a tune would be pointless, is this true? Car is stock other than mods mentioned. Also could it be the fuel pump?
