  1. Hey 33deg hot sunny, watching the water fall on the pool, having a VB at present, just got back from surfers paradise watching the INDY track getting built , walked a small way on main beach, all the topless girls sunbathing, yeah bored, what are you all doing , hang on just getting another beer. sorry!! I'm a shit stirrer.
  2. Yes just send it to [email protected] I'll pass it on to Nissan Japan and do the search
  3. Yes your correct I suppose, it was you instant who said 33 all had ABS standard, I agree with you as I personally have never seen a Turbo series 2 without ABS, I contacted Nissan to find out the truth from them , I guess some people don't want to find the truth. But this I do know for sure !!!!! there are a lot of non genuine supposibly "genuine" cars out there, give me your chassis no and model number and I'll find the truth for you. IF YOUR NOT AFFRAID OF THE TRUTH. I can also find how many owners its had and where it was sold and where it lived in japan , also 80% of Skyline imports are purchased from the "accident repair section" of the auctions. in the end I guess as long as your happy with it then thats what counts.
  4. Well I've been back to Nissan again, series 2 was released in Oct 95 officially, as from 2/96 all series 2 33 turbo skylines were fitted standard with ABS. Prior to 2/96 it was a option on all 33 version cars. like I said from my first input on this from 2/96 all 33 skylines were fitted with ABS, the brochure was printed prior to 2/96. this is official from Nissan
  5. I guess the guy at Nissan is a idiot, I was unlucky to get such an incompitant fool, I will get him to ring you for any information he needs. or maybe he can call your suppliers direct, it will make it so easy for Nissan japan to source such accurate information , I am sorry to have questioned your experience in Skylines. Can your suppliers get me some of these genuine cars too, all these years Ive been relying on Nissan , I should have listened to all those aussie, kiwi, canadian, paki, indian, and shri lankin car brokers living in Japan, all hanging around the scrap yards and auctions, Over the past 9 years I've lost so many honest genuine deals. I should have just purchased over the net like most here, I'm crushed , I won't sleep tonight.
  6. I guess I have to repeat what I said. ALL MY INFORMATION IS FROM NISSAN they are the people that build the cars we are talking about. I don't think japimportcar.com would know more than NISSAN JAPAN. in fact I don't think anybody would no more than them!!! If it doesn't have ABS and the build date is later than 2/96 then its NOT ORIGINAL. (FACT) If you disagree then ring Nissan Japan.
  7. Just got off phone from NISSAN, 93-2/96 was a option on Turbo coupe. Now we are talking Turbo and we are talking coupe. 2/96-end of production ABS is standard equip. information taken from Nissan Japan spare parts computer Now I have only seen turbo coupes 2/96 with ABS. never without. I only go by official nissan information, and thats what I pass on to the people on this forum. I do not listen to anybody at auctions or brokers in Japan, in fact I don't buy from them, I don't trust any of them
  8. 1993 -95 had ABS as option 1996 series 2 fitted with twin air bags as standard have ABS standard. if it don't its not a true series 2 , you have been ripped off the ABS works with the air bag system. its a world design feature. Regards Steve (MR-GTR)
  9. It was infact a 94 Surf, back dated to get it through, after cancelling the compliance they deemed it an illegal entry, (it was after eligability ran out on surfs) customs deemed it smuggling. seized it at the car lot, Steve is right you have a option, his I believe export + $13000 fine for smuggling contraband, or crush and $6000 fine + $900 bill "recycling fee" Thats the final verdict from the powers to be. Its a well known yard on the coast. NOT HAPPY JAN !!!!!!!! They got onto it on Automotive forums I believe, just a comment in a thread somewhere.
  10. Just a word of warning to everyone, do-not say you have plates waiting for you or a freind is doing a shifty or you know a person who does this etc , etc,. The Federal office of road safety (FORS) is now monoting this very forum. They now have a Task force in action as we speak, they deregistered a car on the Gold Coast a month ago and now Customs has seized it, its bound for the crusher. shifty compliance and shifty engineer. don't be stupid and have a big mouth, you will bring on some bad things for your self.
