I reckon the Mclaren is the ultimate supercar. damn, it is just an absolute classic. f40, enzo, veyron, ccx, etc etc, the mclaren is my absolute fave.
-
the previous owner installed a viper alarm. but i have no idea what it is. can anybody tell me how the hell i can find out? i've checked the engine bay and i can't seem to find where the module is.
if somebody could pm me with the possible location of the module(for security purposes obviously) that would great.
EDIT: fortunateley the owner before that(the first owner) fitted a 3-point vdo immobiliser which i am thinking of reconnecting in place of the viper. i just did a few tests. i prefer the vdo.

i didn't think there were any major mechanical changes to the rb26 between all three models? am i wrong?
-
how does shut up sound?
if the whole car was smashed and only have of its engine was left, it would still be worth more than any of our cars and still pull better then most. if that doesnt get your respect then you need an egyptian sidekick the the head.
can you make my sidekick a chinese one?

The worst looking car on the street eh?
BTW, is that a 400r bar on your r33? i'd love to see what that bumper looks like in the flesh, i like the look of the extra vents on the side.
-
yes, comparing the veyron to a GT-R was overboard. but i just can't stand the adulation this car is getting when it isn't even available with a proper manual transmission. how can it be compared with a mclaren, enzo, zonda or ccx? is top speed and acceleration all that defines a supercar? what about the aesthetics? the passion?
i'm sorry, but the veyron is just a result of bugatti trying too damn hard to build a car. they should have learned from the EB110.
in 10 years time, the veyron will be forgotten because another supercar will invariably surpass its top speed. but the mclaren? that will always be remembered for being the definition of a supercar. an enzo? its already a classic. and a zonda? a recent comparison in motor magazine left me pleasantly surprised when the tester stated he was drawn to the zonda more so than the veyron.
-
how didn't he die? the rear end of the car is right next to the front!!!
-
i don't want to sound like a spoil sport, but a crashed veyron doesn't bother me in the slightest way for a couple of reasons:
1. in my opinion, the veyron is a try-hard attempt by bugatti to make the biggest and the best. quad turbo W16, what the hell for? the koeneggsig ccx weighs nearly half as much and probably has similiar performance as a result.
2. the veyron is far too clinical for my tastes. i look at a mclaren and i see passion, emotion. same with an enzo. i look at the veyron and i see white coats, calculators and pens.
3. how would you feel in a veyron when LEEWAH or GTR-800 pull up at the lights and actually manage to keep up? not very happy(unless you are in the GT-R! LOL)

I had a similiar experience with the speed camera infront of underworld gym on finders st. i was doing around 58(its 60 there), the light was amber and i got flashed. this was nearly two months ago so i am assuming that i didn't get the fine(i didn't bloody well deserve it anyway! i wasn't doing anything wrong!).

My rear goes all over the place, its more pronounced on bumps too. Its suspension related, not HICAS.
This is definately HICAS related. i can literally feel the rear tires turn one way then correct themselves.
this has only ever happened twice in two months, but i don't see the point in HICAS so i think i will just get the lock bar and be done with it.
-
Yeah after reading through 8 pages of HICAS problems via the search function, the lock bar seems to be the best method of fixing this problem.
-
Also does anyone know where i can find the super hicas schematic? i'm thinking there must be an electronic way to lock the hicas system.
-
I have no idea what is going on, and i will try the self diagnostic in the morning.
on the odd occasion, when i am just cruising at a steady speed, i can feel the rear tires turn one way, then the other and then correct themselves.
imagine a sort of s-shape. they don't turn much, and the car isn't greatly affected, but it is very unnerving as a driver. what the hell is going on with the HICAS? it seems to be randomly turning the rear wheels. interestingly, the couple of times it has happened has been on bumpy sections of road (on was on mahoney's road between high st and the foodies station).
anyone have a clue what this could be?
EDIT: i should add that the HICAS light has NEVER come on.

it's just a bunch of fat old skanks on their periods
Haha, thats probably true!
-
Thats exactly why i don't plan on taking my car to uni. i will get dropped off, take the bus or walk. anything.

I've seen a couple of r33 gts-t's at the university's car park this week. didn't check for SAU stickers.
just wondering if there are any SAU members that attend Latrobe?

I'll take your GTR wing off you then Ras
Ummmm.... no.
this is probably a good time to mention that i am a hypocrite!
-
No wing. there is nothing that ruins a car's lines like a rear wing.
