  1. Only thing i got off the rego was NSW BBQ but the Q could of been a D or an O and the car was definately a mazda 3 black/charcoal so im guessing QBN or Jerra

dont think it was ballsy at all any one cowardly enough to throw something out a car at Traffic lights with 4 of thier mates in the car would have to be a coward, When i got out of my seat first up i yelled "GET THE F*CK OUTTA THE CAR" no doubt in my mind i would of finnished off all 5 of em . Just couldnt get the dogs door open.

I know this was ages ago but saw a car and reminded me of this thread...strangely enough

A black mazda 3, green p plates, NSW rego BBD-95F driving through tuggers

  2. Hey all,

For quite some time now my R33 will occasionally 'step out' (always to the left) slightly whenever driving over any type of corrugations in the road. I've been in other RWD cars over the same roads hundreds of times and not one of them act the same.

I've checked out all the suspension (visually) and all appears ok. It has been suggested to me by a couple of people that this could be due to HICAS and to lock it ASAP. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are and if anyone has experienced the same sort of thing.

    Cheers.

  3. Having just gone thru the whole house buying thing i can honestly say the whole process is designed to screw you. At least in my case no one was there to help - just to make money...the mortgage dude, the solicitor and last but not least the government. 'Here's 7k to help you buy a house, oh BTW, we need 15k stamp duty to settle...' tossers.

thats what gets me wound up anyway.

  4. Taxi drivers hey. Driving down Northbourne last night a copper pulled up beside me, gave me a very weird look, then proceded to CUT ME OFF!.... he then sped off, merged into a turning lane without indicating, then pull out of it and kept going straight. I should have gotten his licence plate number and reported him, but I was too busy swearing at him.

Spotted a nice Blue R33 GTST in civic and a Maroon one in Dickson, but it had ugly chrome wheels.

It must be the latest thing to do, Good Friday I was driving along Athllon Dr and a Cop nearly ran me off the road. I swear he took the clear coat off my front bar :D

Automatically went to blast him with the horn...figured i would same time and possibly money by letting it go.

(I think this shouldve gone in What ticks you off thread...cos thats what grinds my gears)

  5. Leech, appreciate the effort you went to in reply to my response. Now allow me to retort...

    1. 45km/h on the main drag in Kingston during lunch peakhour is still stupid, considering the pedestrian and car traffic at that time, also you accelerated between the bank, and the pedestrian crossing. Lucky no one was contemplating crossing the street at the time, they would have shit themselves... The only time you could safely do ur quoted legal speed limit of 60km/h would be in the wee hours of the morning.

    2. It wasnt just my observation, more so the observation of myself and my 3 counterparts.

    3. We will get our eyes and ears checked ASAP. It seems we may have been hearing and seeing things.

    4. Claiming you had to accelerate due to the fact that a car was coming up behind you only suggests that you pulled out when you shouldnt have. Nothing wrong with that i spose....

    5. I know what a BOV is, i once had turbo. I also know that under load the BOV will omit quite a flutter, whereas accelerating 'normally', that being minimal throttle will emit a slight flutter.

Next time i do something stupid, ill give myself a pat on the back for my evasive actions.

Thanks 'hero' for your account on what actually happened. Why dont you join all the other whingers on ratetheplate.com.au

  6. Hey all,

Recently bought a R33 GTST completely stock. Had a bit of an exhaust manifold leak but nothing 'too' major. Anyway just finished putting on a front mount and a boost controller and tweaked the boost basically just above standard, nothing too much at all (just a bit of fun was going to drop it back to standard until the leak was fixed anyway). suprise suprise it blew the gasket...no dramas there as it was only a matter of time anyway.

Started removing bits and pieces and found that the exhaust manifold itself isnt held on by all the bolts and some studs have been snapped off flush with the head. The dousch I bought it off has obviously just chucked it back together and left it as is. The boost lost wasnt that noticeable but obviously now I will be increasing boost (and its already all apart) I'm going to be replacing the lot. What I want to know is has anyone had any dealings with those dudes who come to your house and remove snapped studs/bolts? are they any good etc etc.

    Thanks.
