  1. Ok! I've upped to ante $2k from $13k. I'm now willing to spend up to $15k on the right R33 or R32. Anyone know of some potential cars??
  2. Hey, nice car! I'm interested...depending on your location. Cheers
  3. Good find! Ok guys...(maybe) upping the ante here! What would $15k get me in the way of an R33? Also, I saw an ad for a 1994 Silver SZ Supra for sale in Launceston for $15k (130,000kms, 3inch ex., Pod, 17inch rims & a body kit of some description), wondering if anyone knows about the car in question. Cheers!
  4. I don't think I'd buy through an import business anyway...most of them seem a bit dodgy, as do the vehicles they have on offer...esp the ones that you think have reasonable price tags. If and when I get an R33, I'd prefer not to spend huge amounts of cash getting it roadworthy and/or respectable looking. Hey thanks for the info Ydawak! much appreciated...sounds like I should stear clear if the dude is thrashing the shite out of his car.
  5. Hey ppl, Would anyone happen to know about the white R33 for sale in Deloraine with the Neo engine...its on tassiecars and I think i saw it on carsales as well!!
  6. Thats pretty awesome...whats with the low price for a GTR?
  7. Thanks for your info guys...it all helps! I've just recived a quote for fully comp from Just Cars. Now, it says in bold writing at the top of the page $740...however when you look down the page at the excesses it says $400 for stadard? and plus vehicle is $1000. Does that mean my total annual insurance is $2140 based on a value of $14k...thats more than 10% of the agreed value, thats just insane!
  8. With buying from melbourne, how much does registering the vehicle cost when it comes into the state. I had a look on the DIER website yesterday, and could only come up with a total cost of around $600-$700, is this totally wrong. Also, what are people paying for fully comp insurance? I planned on going with shannons, and am over 25 with a rating 1...unfortunately their online quoting thingy is terrible. I'm still not totally convinced in settling for an R32 either...the 33's are a lot more refined in the styling dep't + the advantage of having a 'newer' car. There are a few examples in Vic that seem to be worth a look, and if the only added cost is the trip back on the spirit (bugger all), inspection costs and rego (hopefully not too much), it might be the more viable option.
  9. Cheers for comments guys! I need to get a car within the next fortnight becuause I sold mine about a month ago, and have been driving the missus' car around...needless to say I'm pushing the friendship I see what Toffy meant, maybe the cost is a little out of my reach at this point in time (saving for a trip to Europe). Initially, I only wanted to spend around $10k, but found my options were very limited. I've checked out a couple of 300ZX's, and was going to look at a 180SX, both around the $13k mark and in fairly shithouse condition, but I always keep coming back to the idea of a Skyline (more practical). I'll just have keep my options open then...maybe an R32.
  10. Holy Shit! $3k to get it over and registered, it would be cheaper to bring it back on the Spirit surely, and Registration would only be around the $600 mark wouldnt it?? I noticed a Grey R33 @ JDS Auto Imports for $13,500, has anyone dealt with these guys before? Cheers!
  11. Yeah...gotta find something pretty soon, i.e within the next fortnight. Might have to venture over to Melb
  12. Hi Guys, I'm looking to buy a R33 Skyline...preferably manual & on the North/North West coast (easier to check out) My budget is for around $13k, if anyone has one for sale, or has seen or heard of one for sale, give us a yell! Cheers
