Hey r33cruiser I got NRMA to come check it out - and they fixed it. Supposedly the plug for the crank sensor wasn't on properly. Does that explain the flatspotting and engine stall though? Anyone care to comment? Going to go for a drive soon to check it out.

My car won't start at the moment and trying to get to the bottom of the problem. The starter motor is cranking but the engine just won't start Lately I have been having some problems which might help to diagnose this problem: One time I had low fuel and the car wasn't running right. It had flat spots when I was revving it in the higher revs. Also at one stage it did stall as I was driving along. I refueled the car and it seemed fine after that. Then yesterday as the fuel tank was close to empty the same problem occured (Car flatspotting at low and high revs this time and then it stalled as I was driving). Today I can't even start the car. It sounds like a fuel problem to me. I have recently changed the spark plugs and did a compression test (close to 150psi across all cylinders). What are your thoughts?

Yeh thats true. Sourcing where its coming from is pretty hard. I've trying sitting in the passenger seat and trying to pinpoint it. Thats why i was goin to do the process of elimination and just refit the door trim (after wd40ing the contact areas) and go from there. If someone has a better idea im all ears.

Has anyone done an exercise on their r32 to eliminate all the rattles and squeeks? I was thinking of taking the trim off and wd40ing the backside and maybe use foam in areas where it can make some noise. Also maybe sound deaden the doors, to make it a nicer, more solid drive. Can anyone shed some light on this, or know of a place that does this kind of stuff in Syd.

It doesnt sound like its worth going to court over it, as furious as I am! Anyone know how many demerit points is disobeying a stop sign? Ill call Rta mond of noone knows the answer

I got a infringement notice which says I supposedly didn't stop at a stop sign in crn of Campbell and Ramsgate Av in Bondi. I didn't get pulled over that night or anything, and I don't recall this at all? What proof would they have to back this up? Feel free to post of pm me your experiences.

Hey guys, My other half is looking at getting her Honda serviced - general checkup, also to fix the electrics on her sunroof. I'm new to this area and just wondering whether you guys would recommend any reasonable mechanics they trust and deal with. I was going to go through the yellowpages, but thought you guys might be able to shed some light and help narrow down the list. I was looking at some guys around Maroubra/Kingsford but don't mind driving a short distance away. Even sharing some bad experiences with some, would help. Cheers Andy

Guys, Are there any workshops who just specialise in fixing up interiors? My interior, along with other 32s out there, is wearing out, and I want to get a quote on replacing parts of it and improving the ride quality (reduce road noise/car creaks&squeeks etc). Any places you guys recommend. Also what did they do to your car?

Anyone shed some light on this? Coolant capacity and also gearbox oil capacity. Cheers

Thanks vinnie. I did read that the r33 took 8L. Can anyone second this, and let me know where the bleed valve. Also the gearbox oil is around 4L right? I wish I had the car's manual...

I have bought some of the Castrol premade coolants with 33% glycol. Radicool or something like that. I was planning on flushing all the old coolant out and topping it with fresh coolant. HOw much does a r32 gtst take roughly? It wasn't obvious even after a search. Also where are the bleeding points. There is a screw on the plenum where it has a sticker saying "Don't open when hot". Is this the one?

After doing a search there are a lot of recommended places, but none seem very close to where I live. I don't mind driving for a good mechanic, but I thought I would make sure there are none around my area first. If anyone would recommend a mechanic, who has worked on a lot of skylines in the Eastern Sub (Kensington,Randwick area) then pls let me know. I'm just after someone for doing general maintence and troubleshooting of common skyline issues. Cheers
