  1. we got the same thoughts about tuners. Against Hitman too for what he said on the phone.
  2. This is interesting. Been wanting to finally get my r33 turbo in and tuned, was going to CRD. But this thread is giving me some alternatives. Do unigroup install turbos or just tunes?
  3. Ok thanks for that. I have to do an oil change very soon, would i be able to install this while the oil is in the engine or would it leak to much? Is is better to do it when engine oil is drained?
  4. Any idea who sells them and how much? Also how much do filter relocation kits cost?
  5. other more expensive option is to replace the catback system with either the Kakimoto Regu 06&R OR Trust Power Extreme II
  6. I think this is a good option. If i do go the Varex it will be the oval one or twin tip one. Police like to pick on the Cannon mufflers even if they dont sound that loud. Do u by any chance know how restricted the Varex is when completely open? Same as any other muffler?
  7. Hey mate, How does the controller actually work, do u twist it or something to close the valve? How do u know when its 3/4 closed?
  8. i think jasma regulate to 91db, which is 1 db over aussie limit. Probably best to check the db level as is, and then go from there. Im going to do this too, i rekon im off my abit
  9. hmm im in the same position, bought the car like that, seems to be a full 3" xforce system. Ive got the Apexi ecv u mentioned but controller is not hooked up to the valve. I have been wanting to attach it for a while but havent got round to it. But i will in the next couple weeks as i have already been warned by highway patrol. Dont know how good the ecv is, doesnt sound like its healthy for the car when valve is closed, so im thinking of getting rid of it and going for a Varex muffler, which is the other option. But also abit cautious on how restricted it is, even when fully open, hopefully not much. In regard to the db level, its something like 90db when revved to 4000 or 4500rpm, cant remember exactly what the police officer told me. Basically, if u get caught and have to do the db test, u will have to weld a silencer so its not removable to pass or mid muffler i guess. If emissions test, then forget it, stock only option. Thats why its best to not get to this stage otherwise it goes downhill fast. Anyways thats wat i got to say about the issue
  10. Shit i just bought an autogauge oil pressure gauge including the sandwich plate too from Just Jap. Is there anyone else that has this combo installed without a problem? Whats a good brand sandwich plate to get? Greddy, the only one?
  11. ye that was shit. i have read on wikipedia that the new gtr, evo 10 and wrx will be reviewed. They clearly f**ked it up, as after the episode was aired, they changed the imformation by getting rid of the new gtr comment they had on that episode.
  12. Gtr will be in Ep 2 of current season along with the evo 10 and new wrx sti
  13. nice work. What contact adhesive did u use?
  14. Dont know about the power wires but with ground wires, there should be a 1cm gap between the black tapped in and brown wire tapped in to the ecu ground. I think the same should be done for the power wires. If it was meant to be tapped in together, then there will only be one power wire Heres more info on this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...html&hl=r32
  15. haha i was getting used to using the bucket, was getting good at it too. This hose thing takes longer to wash away the soapy water, but much more convenient and less water spots.
  16. i wouldnt buy one for a daily coz of fuel consumption. If its completely stock then fuel consumption is more affordable. Also for a daily, if your driving alot, the rotor needs a rebuild after round 150000, 200000 is rare i think, so id stay with a piston engine for a daily. It is my dream car though, but will probably only get it as a second car only, as having it as your only car is not smart unless u catch the train to work and drive it only on the weekends
  17. Hi, I have an opportunity to get a SITC and i already have SAFC2. Would this give me equivalent control compared to SAFC2 plus a remap chip i got from CEF11E? If it will, then i think its a better option for me than messing with the ecu internals when installing the remap. Thanks guys
  18. yes it was premixing acrylic paint with thinner (1 paint:2 thinner - for clear coat), then spraying with gravity fed gun. The thing is it only happens in some areas and appears to be the top layer(clear coat). I mix it by pouring paint and thinner in a bottle, then shaking it to mix for a good minute
  19. Any idea wat causes small cracks in the clear coat of the paint? Too much thinner in the acrylic paint?
  20. ye i understand but i dont like the air con on as it reduces the power of the engine . So i guess its normal then, thanks for the quick reply
  21. Just wanted to know if this is normal. When ever i press the button for my windscreen to defog or not fog up, the air con switches on. I cant seem to have air blowing at the windscreen without the air con to go on as well. Even if i put the temp to 30 it still runs the air con. Thanks
  22. Hey, Im looking for a name of this part that holds the back seats in position: This is where they r in the car, circled in red. This is the right one. The white plastic part, looks also damaged And on the left side, i dont have one at all Also would u think Nissan will be able to get the part from Japan. If so, how much am i looking at. Its no big deal, as no one sits back there that often. I just like everything in my Skyline in working condition
