I take the Cunningham hwy home and get off at redbank plains road, and the truckkies comin off the highway from headin south are goin that quick they don't see the give way sign, you see some look over and see you and keep goin. I had one once came hookin throu i was too close to stop and he actually slowed down but i still had to brake and let him infront of me cos he kept pushing

  2. With those mods, and I know it doesn't mean too much, but what year is it and what colour???

And how can you sell it before the Skyline Charity Cruise??? And we need more Skylines in Springfield!!!!

the build plate says 93 but the rego papers say 94 so lucky dip?? Its a bluey colour can look green in some light with a grey strip along the bottom.

I won't be able to make it to the charity cruise unfortunatly, works sending me to the sunny Katherine in the NT till the start of Dec :O

I see bugger all over here ay, nothin to call regulars, see the odd one pulled up at someones house and stuff

  3. Hey guys,

Thinking of selling the skyzamaline atm, but have bugger all idea on what is a goin price. Have looked at car point and car sales and pretty much all the ones i saw were ex show cars or fully built up runnin lots a horsies at the wheels.

Mods that have been/ i have done to the car are; 400R front bar, pod filter, FMIC, imitation greedy plenum, boost contoller, ally radiator, gates timing belt, adjustable exhaust pully, splitfire coil packs, jim berry clutch, 18" rims (will have new rubber when i get off my ass) HICAS lock out bar, Bosch 040 fuel pump, momo steering wheel and gear knob, white leather gear and p/brake boots, oil gauge boost gauge, HKS turbo timer, Mongoose alarm, pionner head unit with 6" splits in the front and 6" in the rear and its got bout 160000Km on the clock. Almost forgot also has bilstien shocks, pedders springs in the front, whiteline front and rear sway bars and diff cradle bushes i guess you'd call them.

Damage to the car is a L shaped crack on the front bar on the r/h side where it bolts on and scrapage on the front lower surface, and paint fade on the rear l/h corner of the roof.

    Any info much appreciated

  4. yeah dude might need a set of hands that don't wander off when bold and the beautiful or some other crap comes on tv.

i'd say i have enough clearance in the front as i am also running a 400R front bar but until it arrives it's only pics i can go by. seen a few people have done it the way you mentioned trying to avoid relocating too much and cutting her up if i can.

I threw mine in when i had the stock bar on didn't have to trim a thing went in like a hand in a glove. Only had to cut a hole in the r/h side of the chassis under the washer bottle for a pipe, but the material was thin as butcher cut it a little with the screwdriver and hammer, went like a hot knife throu butter. For that pipe cos it was U shaped i used a piece of cardboard to get the hole in the right place. I have a 400r bar on mine now and clearence is still not a problem.

  6. i have a couple of quetions about this install i really want to do this at home as a D.I.Y project, but without a welder am i in trouble, as i need to have nipple added for the boost controller set up on I/C piping, the ACC pipe of the i/c piping (as shown in the tutorial).

Where does the B.O.V vacume line connect to as well, as it did not mention it in the tutorial as i would also have my B.O.V relocated under the wheel arch.

    Cheers Hamish

I did this DIY and went the el stingy option and managed to use the old pipe that went across the engine so i had the AAC valve hole and BoV mount already  with all the vac lines if i had to double up i just threw a "T" piece in with some check valves

  7. NOW, let's get to the cool stuff.

We're going to block this pipe off. Watch.

I also noticed that some guys have used the water supply fittings for the turbo incorrectly. In order for water to flow through the piepwork and around the turbo core there needs to be a pressure differential between the source of the water and the return. That is usually accomplished by having the return plumbed in before the thermostat. The thermostat, even when it is fully open, forms a flow limiter and hence the water pump creates a partial vacuum on the radiator side of the thermostat. So having the water source and the return both plumbed into the rear of the block is not a good idea, as the pressure would be almost equal and very little water will flow. What I have done is to plumb the return into the fitting that comes out of the thermostat encasement on the block.

    Cheers

    Gary

I'm havin some problems finding the nipple for turbo water line hook up, i've found a bolt on the side of the block is this the spot? I was thinking of hooking it up to the water line shown above is this a good or bad idea??

SK, do you have any pics of where you put yours

  8. Hey thanks for the help guys,

dunno if i wanna spend that much on a T/B, but if i got no choice then oh well

i sent a pm to Kudos just waiting to hear back

and need to find a wrecker in Brissy that actualy has an XF T/B b4 i can try this option, just one question with that, it says to use an RB30 TPS, i saw one yesterday at a wreckers and it had what looked like the grey plug which is on mine, but there was a black plug on there also, does anyone know what thats for? Does it have to be hooked up??

  9. i was gonna buy a manifold of that dude, but he chose not to reply to my emails  so i never bothered, but i did manage to get a greddy copy inlet manifold for 250 :D still in the proccess of fitting it and a few other things, looks very good ie no mismatch or stuff, only thing i needed to do was file a little bit of material off so it would clear where the lower radiator hose bolts on

but dude recons hes gonna have a few more soon and all blinged up polished like to :)
