  1. im in Sydney.

what other details are you after?

TWO Soundstream Rubicon Series 12" Subwoofers each rated at 250WRMS

box is sealed & constructed with 16mm MDF. from memory, its 3 cubic feet in size internally. speakers are mounted on each end of the box - magnets facing towards each other. the ends are cut at angles facing both back & up.

    the speakers look like this:

ill try & get some photos of the entire box & everything tonight & post it up.

  2. only had them wired up & running for 2 or 3 months, but hardly ever used.

2 Soundstream Rubicon 12"s, mounted in professionally made, computer designed sealed box, designed with internal dimensions as per Soundstreams reccomendation, and speakers angle-mounted. the box is covered in black vinyl.

    everything as new condition.

selling as is $500. and no, i will not separate. :)

    email me at: [email protected]

  3. Can anyone list the differences (visual & otherwise) between a standard GT-R and a GT-R V-Spec???

(its the R33 im concerned with mainly)

all ive been able to find out so far is that the V-Spec has a slightly different instrument cluster, a computer module mounted behind one of the trim panels in the boot & some funky hydraulic actuators mounted on the rear diff...

can anyone shed any light on this for me please? :)

  4. when the engine's cold: i dont drive... i sit there & wait for it to warm up. even if im running late for something... it can wait.

when the engine's up to temperature: shift point for normal driving amongst the Excels & Commondoors is about 5500-6500

when im giving it some schtick: 9000 :)

  5. George, you shouldve come mate... :D

it was a pretty good day though... we had id say between 70 and 80 cars when we left Homebush, which had reduced to about 60-odd by the time we got to Katoomba due to the fact that people didnt seem to be able to (or refused to, i dont know) read the maps that we provided, with all the directions clearly listed.... but anyway.

we had a mad run along Bells Line of Road before invading Katoomba (you shouldve seen it bro, the locals couldnt beleive it... we caused a major traffic jam in the main street for a little while there. :D)

stopped at the park, where everyone froze their balls off (it was windy as all hell), and everyone cast their votes on the car of the cruise, the winner was TOY.12A the blue RX-3, who recieved a trophy for his efforts.

there was a couple of nice Skylines there, including Cihan's (MRTRBO) and Coxy's (DGT.58U), also another very nice white one with bronze rims (im not sure who the owner is, he seemed like a nice bloke though. he might be on here?) and there was also a big showing from the SilviaNSW club in their Silvias & 180's...

but im telling you mate, you missed out big time... :D spewing you couldnt make it.

ill post the link to some of the pictures when they become available (250 photos being developed, scanned & uploaded takes a little while ;) )

    cheers

but yeah, essentailly youre right... the cylinder head was developed for Toyota by Yamaha. basically all Toyota engines with a G in the engine code have Yamaha developed cylinder heads.

heres a pic (notice how many lobes on the inlet cam on the left):

Is this a freeby or what,,,give me access for free and I might think about it a bit more. I might even invite my BMW 4Cyl mates along........A blown 318IS might just kick some butts..........

    Neil.

    P.S. Interesting,,,,,,, 20 Valves,,,,you running a Yamaha head????.

    Neil,

Definately come along to the cruise... bring as many other mates as you like too... (that blown Bimmer sounds intruiging) :D

and yeah, we're charging $140 for club membership....

if we didnt have to worry about CAMS affiliation (yes, the Fast Fours Forums Car Club IS a CAMS member), public liability insurance (which is what really puts the membership fees through the roof), and also merchandising etc, then im sure we could offer free memberships... but, we've gone about registering the club through all the official channels, to ensure that members will be secure and represented in the proper manner... im sure you can imagine, its not cheap.

we also have the backing obviously of Fast Fours Magazine, as well as already having set up discount scemes from over 50 businesses throughout Sydney & NSW...

we've only been up & running for a bit over a month & we currently have over 40 members, who realised the benefits that the club could bring to them, especially in terms of the money saved in discounts on products & services... our President has already saved nearly $4000 on work done to his 180SX. (which makes $140 in membership fees seem kinda small huh?)

several other members have already made back their membership fees plus more in the discounts theyve recieved... some of the workshops include C & V Performance, Tuffy mufflers & Powerplay Imports. :)

theres also several members who drive rotors also... and already a few Skylines too... :D :burnout:

seriously though... if you really have trouble coming up with $140 for membership, we've also just introduced a "Lay-By" plan, where you can pay a minimum of $10, then have 6 weeks to make up the rest... just to make it easier for those (like me) who find it hard to save any money at all... :D :shake:

but by all means, i urge you, come to the cruise with us on the 7th of July, meet me & a few of the guys (& girls) and have a fun day... we're not gonna expect everyone who comes on the cruise with us to join the club.

Like i said originally, its gonna be big, so dont miss out. :D
