  1. yeah get a manual

    get a 2 way

    go drifting

    on a side note though

you should be fine, if it wants to kick, the atessa will pull power and put it up front anwyays

I don't really want a manual. My AE86 is setup well for sliding.

I want a practical car that can allow me to have some 'fun' when the mood is right.

I'm not worried about the rear end kicking out, more about the front end gripping up as the attesa gives it power (pulling out of the slide aggresively)

  2. Yeah, it would be going into an auto. That brings up another question/concern...

Unwanted gearchanges during an opposite lock moment could cause the car to kick back.

    Any comments on this?

  3. I am keen to get a 2way Nismo LSD for my 4WD S1 when it arrives.

I have a few questions though,

I know how a good 2way acts in a light RWD car (My AE86), and I am quite a fan of the handling improvements it makes.

How much different will this be to a heavy 4WD car with Attesa?

Will the loss of rear end traction make the Attesa power up the front wheels?

This sounds a bit dangerous and unbalanced.

Can anyone shed some light on the situation?

    Thanks

  4. I'm not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, I have checked some other threads and people still seem a bit confused...

The 93-97 Nissan Altima front indicators are a pretty good replacement for the standard S1 items.

The good news is, they come with a clear lense. A pair of these cost me about $80.

I'll get the model number up later tonight.

Here is a pic of mine.

The one on the left has a conventional amber coloured globe in it. The one on the right has an amber coloured LED globe in it...

If anyone knows of other solutions, please let us know.

  5. Nice one Jesse

BTW I've met you before - I am JP's mate.

Here's mine.. don't want to take over this thread so I'll just post these two pics

    Hey there, Jason wasn't it?

Yeah, I remember meeting you at the Alma and possibly Matty 1jzs 21st?

I'm a big fan of that body kit you have there. I was looking at getting one of the black ones with that kit, but they all seemed to be a bit dodgey (due to respray or rust)

When i yours due in the country?

  6. Hi guys,

    Great site!

I've just joined sau as i'm looking at buying a 99'-00' neo rs4. Being in adelaide my options are only to look interstate for one of these. I'm looking at a 00' model with approx 83000kms with the asking price of $17000 down from $17900, is that reasonable? a 7yr old car with those k's might mean genuine k's? does anyone know a good contact in melb that won't charge too much to go and inspect the car before i fly over to look at it myself?

I'm also in contact with kamikaze motors in vic with getting one from them. what are they like to deal with? guy i spoke to seems genuine and told be he's sure they don't wind back their neo stagea's.

just want to add that thank goodness i discovered the stagea when the Boss mentioned that we're going to have to upgrade to a wagon! with a 2 yr old and another on the books for 08', the stagea will be perfect.... fingers crossed! it'll be the fastest car i've evr owned! lol!

    thanks.

    n.

I looked to Japan for my Series 1. Once it arrives in adelaide in about 3 weeks I will be able to give you my thoughts on the whole process.

I am going through a guy I met that used to import a few cars for friends, now he has started a business. Elite Auto Imports.

He has been very helpful and the whole process so far has been stress free (other than waiting of cause)

  7. Yeah, we should get a cruise and meet up happening in a month or two.

Here are a couple quick auction pics of my car in Japan...

As far as I know it has some suspension work (possibly coilovers) and some extent of aftermarket exhaust system.

Other than that it appears pretty standard. Oh! and a Dolphin Type II rear wing

  8. Sounds great!

I'm from Adelaide and have a Stagea on it's way from Japan too!

Mine should be hitting Australian soil n the 4th May.

We should meet up and check out each others rides when they are all ready!
