  1. As per title....

1x HKS T51R KAI Ball Bearing, used (by the vehicle "UDLOSE", which *was* many-many years ago Australia's quickest manual VL turbo and ran into 145mph or so and 10.6sec until it got kicked out for no cage etc, removed from vehicle many years ago and hasn't been used since!) very good condition, ceramic coated front and rear housing...looks f*cking baller!

1x ETM (extreme turbo manifolds) manifold to suit the above T51R, ceramic coated, is new and unused, SUIT RB26 head (was for RB26/30 going into a VL) - may suit another car but I'm unsure, that's for you to find out. Comes with the dump pipe as well, 4" into 3", polished/ceramic coated as well.

Also comes with some braided lines etc.

    Price: $3500ono

Reason for selling is genuine, I had all intentions on keeping this gear and using it, obviously it's useless to me now as I got a baby 2.5L 1JZ sh*tter of a motor :P

    Contact: Private message me.

    Location: Perth, WA

I am willing to send elsewhere, obviously buyer would have to pay for shipping and other expenses :)

Below pictures of dummy fit to an RB30 block, dunno if it sits too high for a Nissan, but yeah...you tell me :)

can somebody tell me the difference between those 2 items.

just looking on the ATI website now, and they have an "r32 model" and the newer..

    shouldnt be the same?

  3. hmmmm

speaking of having your own business....

wonder how hard it would be to be an exporter?

you know...those people who stay in Japan and send over all the car parts to Australia for "sh*tloads* of dollars (this may include cars, half cuts, parts off yahoo auctions etc etc)

what skill requirement is there, would having a japanese friend suffice (so they can help you with translation, lol) :)

  4. Heh,

    your job sounds better :P

I'm an insurance underwriter, what would use would that be in Japan!?

    ror

hahaha, especially since I'm on the phones all day :)

    need fluent day-to-day Japanese I'd imagine.... :)

  5. ^

    lol fluent Korean??? hahahahaha

I consider "business" difficult level, so it's "fluent"...

If you don't have a degree (or qualification) you find it hard to get a job anywhere really, that pays well etc....no matter what country.

    well...except for maybe Australia :)

  6. I remember seeing some ad in a local newspaper many-many months ago for bar work, in some sort "australian run bar" (or pub?)...not sure where abouts in Japan the place was situated, but it would've been ideal for those on little holidays looking for some mmmmmoney!

I personally see Japan as a place for a holiday...to have fun...and go to if I had lots of spare dollars, not somewhere I'd be prepared to move to, stuff re-locating unless you know for sure it will work!

  7. to be honest i gotta ditto that post too :)

there are so many better choices why limit yourself to a microtech. we use and tune them but only if the customer cant afford something decent... they work but seriously lack any finese or 'real' control.

i was running an M4 Motec on my old RB30ET, but have since started a twincam build....

got rid of the M4 then acquired a 'nasty' microteh LT12s, which has since been stolen - so now i have NO ecu.

would appear quite a people don't like the micros, even my tuner is fairly cranky about using it....which would be the best "bang for your buck" - i always thought the LT12 was a decent ecu?

  8. true story, all the F1 enthusiasts are now v8 bogans :(

+1 for taking both, but if I had to choose it would be the GTR hands down, I'm a nissan man through and through

is that so, bogans ay? hehe.. difference is the sound.. our bogan V8s sound like all V8s and imo sound like arse.. compare that to an F1 V8 noise.. and the difference is.......massive

i dunno which car id take though - but seeing as the GTR has already been released etc, ill just say the GTR - who knows what the LFA will be like when its produced...

and im also a nissan man.. even though i do own a holden, mind u its got a 26/30.. so its hardly a holden ;p

  9. Anyone who loves participation can be read subject from the outset to understand what is on this topic!!!

    Child big problem!! ;)

    "Child big problem!!" :P

lol thats the funniest thing ive ever rear, and the spanking smiley on the end makes it even funnier lol

where is he from? i think he does make sense, but i cant quite grasp what hes saying..

    lol

    bahaha

It is not rocket surgery, have a look at the spec sheet for the 38. Wins hands down.

    what exactly is "rocket surgery"?

funnier than roger cordia saying "hot water balloon"

    cough.

    best thread ever.

if you're comparing std engines, obviously the 38 will be better than a RB26, or even when stroked to 28.

a car that screams to 100km/h (supposedly) in 3.5seconds, and does the 400m in 11s is ONE f**kING FAST car (altho mines quicker ;))

even RB26s that have been "modded" wouldnt be anywhere near as quick as the new R35....

...like f**king hell, this new GTR better not have the same demons haunting it, that being the oiling issues, the GTR oil pumps from what i have heard all suck, even the N1 item etc. but yeah its a standard item, but thats only the pump itself, not the rest of the 'oiling issues' :(

Because LINE ENGINE IS BETTER FROM V ENGINE !!!!!!!!!

    Thanks ALL . :(

Hmm perhaps inline engines are better, i dont know why but yeah, i remember my engine building saying how much he loves RB motors lol.

and if the Z-Tune does do 10s or 11s supposedly, i'd rather the Z-Tune... but thats more than the R35? Im pretty sure a R35 with a few bits and pieces would become even quicker....

A new, much better car is a lot more expensive than a 5-8 year old second hand inferior car, what's your point? Did you know that you can get a VL turbo to do 10 second quarter miles for about a fifth of the price of an R34 GTR? Clearly the RB30ET is a superior motor to the RB26DETT.

You better not be taking the piss outta RB30ETs... for drag racing I'd probably much rather a RB30ET than a RB26, if i didnt want to spend too much, nothing wrong with the RB30ET... I still dont know why i got rid of my old RAJAB built RB30ET :(

oh and as a matter a fact, the one of the fastest VL TURBOS is powered by, yep a RB30ET, best time of 8.6seconds, pretty much a street car, fkn quick.

fkn hell. shitty rb26/30, worst idea ive ever had!

  10. so any work I do doesnt count and any work you do does?? or are you saying I have to put hours in at the community centre for me to be able to say Im worthy of staying in Japan?

Not sure if this is directed at me or at anyone working at an eikaiwa. I think Ive been here a fair few more years than you and Ive seen my fair share or JETs etc acting like complete tools aswell. So enough of the gross generalisations/implications already.

thanks for the tip, living in an area made up of mainly 50-70 year olds the Americans leveling the whole place in WWII does a lot more for my `reputation` than a few drunk morons though.

not sure what you are talking about here. I rarely drink and am actually a very reserved person. If the Japanese are so shocked by my behaviour word must have traveled far as Im in Osaka not Tokyo LOL although Im starting to understand why some ppl who havent met you might not hold you in very high regard.

whether or not u act like an idiot or not, drink then get drunk or not doesnt matter..

japanese ppl still come over to australia and do that.. its normal

its not like "drinking" and getting "drunk" and/or taking drugs is "never done" in Japan....

i dont see whats wrong with working for a eikaiwa, aslong as u take pride in what u do, whats the problem? you're doing your job, and hopefully you're doing it properly. its a means-to-an-end.... so what?

  11. just to clear this up, i was not implying that people who work at NOVA cant teach and should leave. Unfortunately, that company has sucked the life out of many a good teacher and the leaches just keep asking for more. There are some in the industry that only come here to get what they can out of the country ( cars, women, sex and money)...its always take, take, take. never give, give, give. Thats one of MY pet hates. Putting in hours at the eikaiwa dos NOT count. What you do outside DOES. I have no time for people like that, Its selfish, degrading and if that person happens to be aussie, personally humiliating.

I take great care to make sure the Japanese i meet have a high opinion of me otherwise it can effect much more than myself. Im much more restrained and conservative than i used to be.

The japanese take a group mentality approach. Things are always done for the sake of the group. If One aussie is out there making a complete ass of himself, its going to reflect badly on aussies in general.

unfortunately, some on this site have been kind enough to ruin opportunities i had and lost because of this selfish, all for me attitude.

If youre going to be like that, i dont need to know you. Please do the right thing and represent yourselves well if you live here. Unfortunately for me, others who dont even know me are of the opinion that they do and thats bullshit to be honest.

you obviously take the internet pretty seriously??? or have some people actually pissed you off in person? lol

I dont know what you're talking about (in the past or what not) but yeah..

and besides, japanese people already know what "aussies" are like, there are tonnes of them in australia doing study and work holidays visas, so its not like "westerners" are unknown to them, and if so.. most will soon know

but yeah, if you are in japan it would be different.

what examples of aussies making an ass of themselves are there anyways, im curious.... <_<

  12. Maybe Im just reading it the wrong way but it really sounds like you are implying anyone working for nova doesnt know how to teach and should leave. Its a little bit too derogatory for someone who admits the main reason they arent working for an eikaiwa is that they were in the right place at the right time :D

If this isnt what you meant then apologies, pompous pricks working in a job with better perks, more pay and then go on to pay out others less fortunate than them selves are one of my pet hates.

well yeah, that quite possibly could have been what he was implying...

but if i was to go to japan for lets say a little while, being able to work for nova easily would allow me to earn money whilst stuffing around in japan.

but as i said, there are most likely to be other jobs like the ad i saw in my local paper.... thats if u want to have some extra cash on the side..

but one thing is for sure, i will go there for a little well deserved holiday, ive been working my arse off for the past few years and im getting really tired and wanna have fun, also never been outside of australia so itd be a good experience, and atleast now i know someone whos from japan and she'll be more than willing to lugg me around, so im grateful for that! :P

  13. hmmm i dont get it

its like mcdonalds going up shits creek...

    it just wouldnt happen!

ohwell must be a japanese thing

meh, for those i guess, this makes their chances of "working in japan whilst getting a job easily" faaaairly bleek.

    gg nova!

but not to worry methinks, i recently saw in my LOCAL PAPER (yes not the statewide paper, but the suburb edition..) an advertisment for an australian owned restaurant in OSAKA that are/were hiring people

so yeah thats pretty cool i guess if u wanna get a 'feel for the life' whilst doing some easy going sh*t?

    but anyways, back to NOVA.

i was keeping an eye on some forums and sites about this situation, was actually meant to post here about it. but its pretty weird and sad how something so big can f*ck up, and as mentioned in the above "article" management would most "probably" have to be changed if someone was to buy this buggered company.

sure they say they have a "big investor" who MAY want to help them, it could be from overseas or whatever, u never know and i dont know how sh*t works over there, but yeah. it would seem IN THEORY an alright company to fix considering the amount of employees etc it has.....

but the other company who once cried wolf went bust so yeah... history tends to repeat itself i beleive.

    hrmmm.

and M3GTR, u seem like a lucky person, dont know how u got urself in ur current position, dang! would be awesome to spend time there having a NORMAL job, any plans on coming "back to" australia?
