Firstly, for those that care, i havent been on this site since my engine lost oil pressure at 120kmph and became very growly. It turned out to be the oil pump gear had collapsed. So, without further ado, the engine was stripped and all damaged parts were replced with mainly hks parts. The car was also treated to 2 brand new hybrid turbos which were cheap like the budgie wink wink , a "race spec" exedy paddle clutch and many other upgrade parts, chipped and remapped. It was then rolling roaded at 436hp fly 395 lbs torque. Car has also had full professional respray. After much head scratching and interesting reading on the net (mainly written by Garrett race research development technicians, i went with a straight through custom made stainless "race spec "3 1/2 inch exhaust which has mandrel bends. The problem is its loud. Its so loud that i hate it. Its horrible on tick over and normal driving, but sounds awesome, like a jet fighter on boost. My question is Is there any way of quieting down the exhaust while on tick over/normal driving and let it rip on boost? Theres got to be something about??????? was thinking a spring loaded flap or similar??? carl

oil pressure release valve in the collar. in the collar???? from what i can see from the technical diagrams ive looked at, this magical collar i keep hearing so much about, is an "add on" for the gtr32 crank....and if this is what you mean, it doesnt have a pressure spring i havent had chance to look at it yet, but the chances are the oil pump has sheared the outer gear teeth, and pump has stopped,.. hence absolutely no oil pressure at all...

hmmmm.....this is very helpful... well,....the reason he is a moron is as follows.... in the uk we have 3 lanes 1st lane is for slow moving vehicles ie lorries, cars towing trailers/caravans 2nd lane is for over taking said vehicles. 3rd lane is only used if absolutely needed he was in 2nd lane, and driving slower than the minimum speed limit, and there was no vehicles in the "slow lane" hence,...he was a moron.... so, now i ve answered your question, maybe you can answer mine.... carl

any ideas. On motor way put foot down to over take a moron, light comes on pull over, growling noise no oil pressure. No smoke etc. . . carl

how do blackjet... iirc the r33gtr will do 0-62 in 5.2... but thats from factory as new,....

Sometimes I can read something a million times and it still wont stick or make sense til I just bust one open and take a looksie. by far THE quickest way to learn anything,... thats how i started off, now repair turbochargers for all vehicles all over the uk if there is anything i can help with drop an mail, and ill try my best : ) carl
