  1. yes, probably. Also look for the other badges as well. Bonnet, front fenders etc.
  2. Exactly, only the good V spec models with low km's will now start to go up in price, where the others will drop off.
  3. any other feedback please.....
  4. 400R bumper, it's written in the info.
  5. I'd get one now because the car will be another 2 years older and probably 20,000km more on the clock as well as wear and tear. Probably more work to do on one in another 2 years. I'm in the market as well but not sure to get one direct or in Oz.
  6. Is it worth buying a R32GTR or do you think they are a waste of money? Keeping in mind getting one with under say 80,000km and stock as a rock. Also V spec and V spec II models are they better?
  7. Wouldn't it be better to search in Japan at their used car auction houses where they have 100's daily, and have it shipped direct instead of via Australia. Except for the few made here the Skyline sold a lot more in Japan than here in Oz.
  8. Do you guys think it is better to buy a car that's already here in Australia or import one yourself? Is it true that the importers only bring in shitty grade 3 and under car to maximise their own profits? Because when you look at the Japanese auction pages the good 93-94 (above grade 4) R32 GTRS would only cost about $20,000. I've seen a lot of GTRS in Oz for about the $20,000 mark that are just crap and totally worn out. I want to buy a R32 GTR but is it too risky to buy one locally or is it more of a risk to get one direct? Thanks
  9. Endless Group A race car or Super Taikyu car?
  10. Would you guys say that the GTRS that are brought into Australia are the crappy grade 3 and under auction cars from Japan? Thus meaning the cars aren't as good and seem to need a lot of work to be done when they get here and that's why the younger guys can't keep them? As well as the extra costs. Only saying this because i went to Japan last June and I saw a lot of top quality GTRS at reasonable prices, so if take in account ALL the import fees and charges you could get a good R32 GTR here for less than $20,000. The GTRS here don't seem to be in good condition. As I said first, I'm interested in getting one but is it better to get on here in Oz or import one myself? What are some of you paying for insurance for a GTR with a premium of say $25,000? Thanks
  11. Hi guys, I'm thinking of buying a 93-94 GTR. But lately I've noticed so many for sale, I'm not complaining because it helps to keep the prices down, but with so many for sale here and on car sales etc it makes me wonder that people don't want them. Why? Are they too expensive to run here? Insurance too much? Any thoughts much appreciated.
  12. Actually the price of a potential collector car will bottom out at about 15 years from new. So now is the best time to get something. But you'll have to wait at least another 15 years to see if anything comes of it. Good luck. I'd like a R32 V Spec or V Spec II to hold onto as well.
  13. Yes, the Nismo had a standard RB26, there were only 228 VSpec N1's built to commemorate the entry of a R32GTR in the 24H Nurburgring race in 93 or 94, I can't remember exactly. The car will be a collectors item if, as Beer Baron says it is in original spec and good condition. Also I found Aussie prices for cars and Japanese prices for cars can differ a lot, so even if you can rebuild the car to original condition keep it for a few years then try to sell it back in Japan, I think you'll get more money for it.
  14. Yes, the car in the add has the right numbers 100394. The mag is a Japanese language publication. Just remember the prices quoted are for cars in excellent condition and usually have under 50,000km. I've seen V spec and V spec II car for sale in Japan for only 1,200,000 yen. Is the car in the add yours? If it is, congratulations!
  15. G'Day Vin for R32 Nismo run from 10000 - 100560, there were 560 built with 50 going for race cars. V Spec had 1453 made and V Spec II had 1303 made. Latest Japanese prices in YEN for the Nismo are between 3,500,000 - 4,500,000 yen, V Spec 2,000,000 - 3,000,000 and the V Spec II 2,500,000 - 3,500,000. This info came from Vol. 120 Hyper Rev GTR magazine I picked up in Japan a couple months ago. I suppose any of these editions will be collectable if you can afford it, and considering there were 40,390 R32 GTR's built the limited edition models are well worth it.
  16. What's happening in this city these days?
  17. If its not registered I don't think you can. The only thing I would do is check the compliance plate, who did the work and double check who brought the car in.
  18. Thanks for the picks, the car looks great!
  19. That's the difference between someone who really appreciates the car and its history, not just to show off. Good stuff.
  20. Good point, also, if there aren't so many left then you see one smashed, you just think there's one more gone.
  21. Sounds great, any picks you could put up?
  22. The DR30 looks like its in mint condition. How long have you had it? I was going to go to the S'n'S but the original Sunday was washed out and when they planned the second one I had already left, overwise I would have come and said hello. There are a lot of nice DR30's in Japan and the sale prices are starting to go up now for the mint ones. You said that no-one was really interested in the older Skylines? I wonder why? I'm still weighing up whether to bring one in or not. I can buy one cheap enough but I'm looking at about $4000-$5000 to get it here, don't know if it's worth it or not.
  23. These cars (bosozoku) are quite popular for guys in their early 20's. 70's and 80's cars done up. The exhausts have no mufflers or cats just straight out pipes also usually no suspension. Go to U-tube and type in bosozoku and you can see them for real.
  24. Hey, just back from Japan and I thought I'd post my friends DR30. It's looking a little worse for wear but still goes well.
  25. Yes, you're right. They never put the L28 in any of the cars made at the time it was the L20. What I meant was, most of the GT and GTX cars you find now for sale in Japan have the L28 fitted. In any case an original Hakosuka GTR has the twin cam S20 engine.
