  4. Hi guys i'm looking at doing a rb24 rebuild and i was pondering if there was any great improvements in puting a 26 head on her rather than the oll 20 head also are there problems that make it too difficult to even bother with thanx
  5. sorry i ment does the gtr diff center and pinion fit the gtst housing thanx
  6. number 2 on a rattle gun and a bit of lock tight should do the trick
  7. hay peeps just wondering if a sr flywheel will work on the rb engine cos it looks lighter kinda like a cheap lightened fly upgrade any sugestions?
  8. hay all i need a rb20 clutch fork as mine has crakced but i'm to budget to buy a brand new one any help would be much appreciated thanx
  9. just pop the center console around your gear stick and than there will be 4 screws that fasten a dust boot to the floor than under that is your gear stick boot which seals into the gear box mine split once and made a nice mess, would only really leak if i was givin it a thrashin, worth a check though but if its coming from the front of your gear box than it could be front main seal but give it a good degrease and check that breather hose
  10. comeon u guys someone in here has gotta have changed their rb20 gear box for an rb25 item if not can anybody recomend some good wreckers in QLD thanx
  11. u may have a split boot were your gear stick goes into gearbox and leaking down from there
  12. possibly nissan would be the most expensive bet for bearings as long as u get good quality bearings made in japan than it cant be too much different in quality going after market my bearing set i got have copped a thrashing and are doing fine go nissan for syncros though
  13. take your old one in and match it thats the easyist
  14. u should be able to get all the bearings for around $400 through your local bearing store and wouldn't hurt to change your 2nd and 3rd syncros as they normaly cop a floggin i think their around $100 a set good luck
  15. same as a 94 nirvara cost me $30 not sure of part number but its 5/8th diamiter which is all the really matters and dont u want a 32 slave cyl anyways?
  16. its only a viscus lsd so its not as direct as a clutch type good for straight line though buy a after market clutch type and u'll be right
  17. nah it looks to be longer and narrower thanx though
  18. darn that'd be sweet if ya had one lyin round tough let me know how much u want for it cheers
  19. hay guys any one got a rb20 clutch fork lying around? mines broke and to budget it buy a new one anyone know if rb30 gear boxes use the same clutch fork?
  20. if the clink u speak of is only when your on and off the throttle than is probly just backlash in the diff u can adjust this by moving the carrier but only so far u may need to buy new gears to fix the problem
  21. maybe the heavy duty cluch is a lil heavier causing the engine to be a lil less responsive theres not much else that it could be really or it could be just in your head
