    My car just gets a quick hose over, spot cleaned and wipe down with a chamois and put under a cover for a few weeks until it comes out again when I have some free time again..

    It just made me think of something... those idiots that will spend thousands on their cars and never wanting to drive their incase it gets a small stone chip or something :down: cars are ment to be driven

    Hi guys....

    After all this talk of rack and pinion, I was looking into a few ways of going about it using either S13 or Jap Spec R31 gear.

    But today someone suggested rebuilding my steering box, replacing the ball joints and having a quicker stearing gear ratio put in, I was told it would be just as effective as a rack and pinion conversion.

    I was wondering else has done the same thing with their Recirculating Ball Steering setup.

    As going this option is alot less hastle then installing a rack and pinion. And I'm still learning about such things.

    Years ago when imports started creeping into the country I went with my brother to look at a DR30 at some backyard importers house. the car was a bucket of shit, shit interior, f**ked gearbox, etc etc... so he didnt end up buying the car. but i started researching them on the Internet and really wanted to buy one, so after I got my part time job I saved and saved.

    I was also fortunate enough to live near Tom Monkhouse, so saw his beast driving around the streets, there was also a clean DR the same as mine in the area, it sounded tough as nails.

    Unfortunatly the few DR's that came up for years were pretty expensive, with rust, crap interiors or other problems. I then thought about getting one imported, but then gave up on the idea of buying an import. Then one day at my brothers house, his friend mentioned their other mate had a DR in his shed that had been sitting there for over a year, I should make him an offer because it was ment to be really clean example, I had remembered breifly seeing it once before.... Before I had even inspected the car I brought it.... It turned out to be the cheapest one I had seen over the years and the best condition also the colour I wanted, same interior and wheels :P

    And for the record I'm not agaist cops? just rediculous defects and profiling of SAU skyline drivers.just to fill the states bank account from defects, where does the money go ? not to road repairs to make them safer thats for sure?

    no sh*t our roads are shockers, and when repairs are done the problems arent fixed, just bodgey jobs. :whoops: . If I had a $ for the amount of times driving down the road to hear a big "BANG" because of some pot hole. It would of paid for my suspension to be rebuilt, plus another DR30 sitting in my garage :) ... I remember Victorias roads being much nicer then ours

    I have no problem with the Police either, I just have a problem with crims running free ie. gang of 49 and innocent people getting harassed for revenue raising.

    dont see how its a break in if you didnt lock your car, its just your own stuipid fault, its inviting them to take something.

    Even if im just going in to pay for petrol I will lock my car up, not that I have anything in my car so there is nothing to steal :spank:

    Yeah AI seems abit iffy at the moment I think, how long they will keep going...

    My brothers mate rebuilds coilovers, I will get his number and PM it your way... The muffler got worn out by scraping too many driveways, So im just getting an exhuast made up like Josh's Purple beast as it looks good.

    Funny I was just talking to my gf about a 32 GT-R on friday night, but I think I would regret selling the DR like Crimmo and Tom did :D ... also I wont get what I want for my DR ;)
