  8. Hello!... long time listener, first time caller here! I'm venturing for the first time into the wonderful world of forced induction (engine swap currently underway) and am in the process of looking for an intercooler. Now, I've looked on wiki, and done google searches, and havent really had any luck finding much info... but my question is this: Whats the difference (besides obvious appearance) between a Bar & Plate FMIC and a Tube & Fin FMIC of the same dimensions? Can anyone give explanations on why I would go for one style over the other? I have been told to go Bar and Plate, but no explanation why. I would prefer to have a deeper understanding rather than just buying based on other peoples preferences. If anyone can give links to buyers guides or another thread in her containing the info (I couldnt find one) or even just post up in here, I'd appreciate it greatly. Thanks

  13. If you are running a turbo motor, there is no point to having CAI as the air gets heated up then it passes through the turbo anyways. Thats where the intercooler comes into effect.... cooling that air back down again after it leaves the turbo and before it enters the manifold. Might be a bit obvious, but hey... that might help clear it up for someone *edit* aaaaaand then I notice which section of the forum this is in... naturally aspirated performance hey??? *slaps forehead*
  14. Hey all, upgrading to a turbo motor so I no longer need this and figured I'd try make a few bucks. Made a noticeable difference over standard. Welding work on the mandrel bend and base plate is top notch. hasnt been polished up for the pics (taken in a rush) but you get the idea looks really good once given a quick clean looking for $80 Call me on 0401606223 Tim
