Where did you hear this? i got pulled over when i got my car and was talkin to the cops, they actually said i better get a turbo before the rules come in. i was told if you already have a turbo and on P's then its alright, but if not then you get in trouble

Hi, Im happy with my R33 GTS and it runs great!, i've had it for a couple months now and i convinced my friend to get one. he got a GTS-T. i've driven it around a couple times and love it! feels so good. Im just wandering whether it would be worth to keep my GTS engine and putting in a turbo or to swap the engine i have now with a GTST stock turbo? my friend said it wouldnt be worth putting in a turbo on the engine i have in now because ill never get the same power as what a stock turbo would have.Im also wanting to get it before the laws kick in for non-turbo P platers! What you guys rekon? any help would be great.

oh no the red is clearer than 35% its prob like a 50% or somethin, but i can put a shade of tint behind it to make it a lil darker, within the 35% limit

i think i will just stick with the 35%, remember im just doing mirror red. I asked the tint people and they said its well in the legal limit, im thinkin about puttin some darker film behind it to make it a darker red and make it 35%

hmm, There is still a large difference between 35% and 5%. i dont think i would wanna take the chance of spending all that money and getting defected, and having to remove it and paying for another job done

yea thats tru, i was actually looking at an awesome tint today, it was a red that fades slowly into a charcoal, but it fades from 20% to 5%! would look so awesome, but i dont think i would get away with it. attract too much attention with the cops, even if i wound down the windows, the back window would be covered in it.

you rekon? so no matter the turbo put in, it wouldnt be worth it? Also just read up on BWCP in brissy, supposedly its a death trap, it was a good scam by the cops and you can get defected for anythin like your wipers being too hard or not enough water etc!!! how stupid is that. i was reading up another forum where no one was allowed out until their car was checked and some people waited up to an hour!

yea i may do, my friend lives there and usually comes up every weekend.might go down there for a change. im stuck with a NA at the moment. i chose to get my car completely stock and personalise it myself, so in a way i know what you mean. but you have to have the looks to go with performance. My friend is also telling me to sell the one i have now and to buy a stock turbo cause i wont get the same benefits if i just put in an aftermaret turbo now. i know it depends on what type of turbo but it would have to be better than the stock ones, what you rekon?

yea and you get satisfaction out of it when you get comments and looks . Anyone else on the coast who goes out cruizin or knows of any good places to drive round at?

well why do you do up your car if its gay? i know of a few places in bli bli, and also the huge bends on the way to yandina is pretty sweet. there is a nice long straight there, although not the smoothest

oh thats a shame. There isnt really much else to do but enjoy ridin in cars and showing them off, unless of course there was a nice open area to have some fun. haha an abandoned air strip! Dont suppose you know any place that may be good to 'practise' some driving

oh ok, do u guys have many problems with cops in noosa? do many of you come out weekends/fridays?

I think it should all be fine as long as the front window isnt done, well obviously it couldnt be done. What about the window parts behind the driver and passenger. On a 2door coupe where the passengers look out, do the same rules apply?
