its good your saving for gtr brakes at the front. I ended up getting the whole front arm assembly (not sure what it is called, but the big heavy black things that the caliper bolts to) off the front of a 33 gtr.. i dont know whether you will be able to just change the front hubs and add brakes to your current setup... the gtst and gtr brakes are much bigger...i ran out of funds so i just got the gtst brakes, would like to get some nice gtr ones or brembos down the track. oh yeh.. good thing you already did your clutch...when I got the first power jump (from 104rwkw n/a to 160ish standard boost etc) I instantly lost the clutch.. within 6 hours of driving it out of the tuners I have some form of a Walbro pump.. cant remember the model, but it is holding up absolutely fine.... same as my stock one... and yes... 200 absolutely is fun... I remember with the high compression motor I would have full boost coming on in the low 2's and had alot of torque down low from that. -

hmmm... I cant remember actually... I know my original afm had the green label and I thought to be safe I got a s1 gtst one, but I sold that a while ago for a z32, so dont remember the colour. my fuel pump held up to 180rwkw... im assuming same as urs? also im just curious, wheres the 1500 worth in parts? ie break down of parts/$.. From memory.. and this is YEARS ago... my parts were all off a 33 and prices something around: $400: good cond gtst turbo, manifold, injectors in fuel rail, afm $80: s1 33 gtst ecu $100: crossover pipe and gtst bov $300: hybrid fmic and piping I already had a catback exhaust and then a little later on i got a front/dump for 200 new and went from about the power you have now to 200rwkw + boost at 12psi. so your goal is pretty close gl with it man... once u hit 200 u will realise very quickly that you will need gtst brakes and then u might aswell go 5 stud as well... -

nice, another 33 gts4 What did he tune as I thought theres not much to tune because everything is locked on stock ecu? Also, what about afm? I changed that first thing aswell when I started on turboing. -
yeh please say the products you used, going to have some free time over the uni holis and would like to give mine a detail like this! P.S looks fantastic!

was a fun night... cant believe how lucky we were twice.... And Jess worked out why I was reported to the police 3 times when I was traveling to the maccas because I couldn't work it out as I was not speeding, letting the gate off or anything stupid... but then she remembered that clapped out piece of crap green ford with the green p plater and 2 passengers... they wouldnt let me pass when they were doing 70 in an 80 zone or 90 in a 100 zone and when I got a chance to overtake them they speed up to 120 as I was going to overtake... they were pretty much the only car we passed getting to maccas. Anyway we can't head up to king lake again for a while as the cops said they are going to be there again for a while. BTW, thanks Dean for getting us back to the area via the back way!

Tyres For A 270+rwkw R34
WYTSKY replied to gwilkinson34's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
good result... was this internal gate? Also.... I went and got new tyres the day before i started on my 3076r build because I knew how the after effect was going to be... I have I think nexens (i'll have to check.. cant remember the brand) was 600 all up for 4 new tyres... 235/40/18s... They hold on pretty well for what they are and cheap to replace! even when i had my car in 2wd they were good.. in awd theres barely any let go... -

Pdw Vega 19x8 +45 Offset
WYTSKY replied to resart's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)

I have a mint condition N/A 33 one with plug from when my car was non turbo sitting right here next to me. let me know if that will help you.
-
That was great guys, thanks for an awesome night, me and my mates really enjoyed it and considering it was my first one I think i need to get a few more under my belt! I agree with the tight group... I liked that as well.

is there somewhere to confirm whether this unit suits ALL nissans with hicas? wouldnt happen to know if it is bad for the system to engage/disengage? Sorry if these are annoying questions but I am curious as I already have an attesa controller which works well and was looking into ways to lock hicas completely ie lock bar or if there was a less permanent solution and this seems good. theres not much stuff that I could find about it on google.

He's probably just saying it is p plate legal because he's been pulled over once or twice before and the cops havent had a clue and just gone "oh its an old gassed vl, probably not much going on in there..." under whichever rule he wants- power to weight or the new non modified/turbo rules its not legal.

Have you had a good look at the crank angle sensor that sits on the front of the timing cover..you'll shit bricks... Also if you want to put a GTR one on thats fine... better then nothing atleast.
-
I had that problem too, but it was because I had a bigger turbo, yours is standard so either as mentioned change bov back to standard or relocate air flow meter (afm) to another position and tune. From what I know, it is occurring because air is going the wrong direction to the air flow meter ie the engine is sucking air and then when the bov releases, some of it is going back the other way or something like that. I just changed my driving style. ie I used to put my foot down, reach max boost then clutch in and let the car roll.... instead just put ur foot down and then leave it in gear. it wont do it then.

WYTSKY replied to N-DAWG's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Cheers bud. Hows yours going at the moment? nah, everyone thinks she'll be fine or atleast its not that worth it unless im taking the head off for other things. what wheels/tyres do you have currently? you shouldnt be able to break traction in any gear.... -
Not having a go, just while we are sorta on the topic, I thought turbos spin at like ~80,000-150,000? or am I way off?

lol guess this website needs some updating? http://www.skylineow...ad.php?t=142304 -

to be honest, with my cai and heatsheild, bigger the better for intake. I see the point you make, but it was my understanding that your not trying to make it blast air into the turbo, which to be honest I can't see being much up until atleast 100kms/h at which point you legally cannot go much faster on our roads, as the turbo definitely has enough suction/boost to do that on its own. you are simply allowing the turbo to not suck in hot air from the engine bay, which can cause quite a large drop of response/power and instead have some nice <45degree air from outside, inwhich case, the more the merrier.

Results Of Gt3076r With .63 Housing And Ex Gate
WYTSKY replied to WYTSKY's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
lol you make a valid point ie, if you gate next to a cop... but in this case its more if he is in the surrounding suburb.... havent had a chance to get a video of the car, but will do my best for this weekend. -

Happy to do it Sam, i'm interested aswell, give me a little time to get some cash back up and we'll chat, i really want to avoid loosing any power/torque by plumbing it back in. I managed to open up the hole on the heatsheild to fit the new pod you gave me(see below), looks good imo and at least thats 1 less thing to be defected for. will do the other heatsheild to hide turbo over the weekend. cheers mate.
