  1. Hey all!

Going through the dilemma of getting a defect cleared.

Anyone have the stock R33 airbox lying around I can borrow/buy?

Aiming to get car engineered on Friday or Saturday, I have spoken with Morry AKBARIAN in Hornsby and Steven JANDA in Illawong.

Anyone used either of these two? Or have any suggestions on a good engineer?

    Thanks in advance

  2. :P:D;):bunny:

Gutted! Pulled over last night on way home from dinner in Northbridge at 9pm for my 'car being too low'. WHAT THE....??!?!? IT WAS RAISED TO NORMAL HEIGHT WHEN I BROUGHT IT OVER FROM MELB! When I pointed this out they got embarassed and proceeded to go over my car with a fine tooth comb. Only thing they could complain about was when I was gonna transfer over from Vic plates. Get a life noobs!

Funny how police and skyline checks are always included after a great night out!

  3. You might be in luck! Mine turned up this morning :D I'm hoping to get them in after work today :P

That is the annoying thing though, I am leaving straight from work to get on plane at 750 to go to perth till Saturday night.

So I cant check till sunday...lol

    Ah well, I will live..

Post up some pics here once you get them in :)

  4. they are due the end of this week, i so sorry about the delay, but it is out of my control, i will keep you updated

Not to worry WKD (I speak for myself...lol)..

Updates would be great, as I believe we are all anxious to chuck em in the cars!

  5. i bet your glad you went and double checked your lights Nathan  nothing worse than getting sent the wrong item

i will one day be after a kit for my High beams as R33's dont have lense's and would be nice to have all 4 on @ once with the relay trick

Haha, I am sure that would keep the road lit up for you to see all!!

  6. you make the 10th person, ive spoken to the supplier and he has given them to me for a bit cheaper so i will start them of now at $160 instead of reaching 25 so payments can start being made.

    Hey!

Have just made full payment of $175=globes($160)+parkers($15)

Should have it in the next day or so as I bank with Westpac.

I put secret32 as the payment description to make it easier for you to locate it on your bank statement :D

I will PM you my address in a moment

Thanks heaps for organising this GB!

  7. 6000k is the recommended it a white light whilst retaining the maximum distance and visablility, the further up you go the bluer the light and the less D&V you have. 10000k would fairly blue but not soo blue that you cant see...if that makes sence lol
my personally opinion is 10000k would be too blue for street use

i am running 6000k and thats perfect a very nice white light and all street signs are very well light up

yeah my mate has 8000k and the cops can spot you from a mile away

ill take 6000k and the parkers

I do believe you have all been successful in scaring me away from the 8000K.

WKD-031 can you please change my order to a 'safe' 6000K?.... lol

    Thanks heaps guys :)

  8. The list, i think the easyer way to do this since i cant edit the first post would be to copy the list and add your name to it and your order(remember to specify what globe type and the K rating)

    Whyallapunk - awaiting globe conformation

    DRF72 - H4 HI/LO + parkers waiting on K rating

    Min_R32 - awaiting globe conformation + parkers

    Madaz - parkers

krzysis - awaiting globe conformation + parkers 10000k

    Nismo_God -

    Hey!

I am keen on H1 kit 8000K with parkers as well :(

    ...

Looking at the 10000k, how blue would they be on the road?

  9. undo the gear shift surround'

you will see a cable linkage that goes from the gear shift up to the back of the ignition tumbler,

it has obviously stretch or being damaged at some stage, look and study the mechanisim see which way it has to move when being in park then give it an extra pull and you should hear the ignition click

once the key is out undo the lower steering column cover and remove the cable all together and that way you should be able to remove the key anytime once it is in the off positon....most auto trans have an inhibitor switch that will prevent them from being started unless they are in neutral or park.

it is designed to stop car thieves and hijackers ripping the keys out of the ignition when at lights etc etc.

Great response nizmonut, I was going to suggest starting the car back up and moving car and attempting to remove key again. However your response seems alot more comprehensive and educated... lol

  10. He got what was coming to him, and so far no pics, ( i work for the daily telegraph) nothing has come threw the office yet, it got a small feature in MX and thats about it so far. This one might have slipped under the radar.

Well that sucks! I was keen to see photos...

As has been said, hope the driver does get insurance help, although the car is never the same!

  11. so can you hose your car in the street with a trigger nozzle? i live in an apartment and my car can't

make it down the driveway it scrapes :D

Yeah, you cant just use a normal hose end. It needs to be the one like a gun that turns off as soon as you let go of the trigger.

I have same issue as you, although I can get down fine, just scrapes on the way out. Except I look like a twat when I leave cause the only way to turn out with least scrapage is into the deadend. So I come out of the driveway and then have to do 3point turn to turn around!!!!!
