just the stock 25 ecu, thats what i was kind of thinking, but not sure...

we've checked the cat, and no blockages there no blockage in the piping, we've taken them all off and put them back on again no funny sounds, just sounds like a normal turbo

not sure what kind of bearing it is, shaft spins freely and there is not problem with the oil feed

have held wastegate flapper shut with thick cable ties then taken it for a drive and no difference

hey guys ive just dont an rb25det conversion in my Hr31 skyline, im running a Garret T3/T4 turbo my problem is that it starts coming on boost at 4.5k rpm, makes 6psi then as soon as it hits 6psi it drops back down to 2-3 psi it will not make over 6psi even without the actuator hose running. the turbo is visually fine, as in no shaft play etc. we did a boost leak test and it was fine. any ideas guys? cheers Chester

cheers mate, its not a snapped cam belt ive got the cam belt cover off when i crank the volts at the coil go from 11.98 down to 0.19V looks like we have a problem

hey guys im doing an RB25 Conversion on my HR31 Gts-x so ive wired everything up, I went to check spark, and there was nothing there. I thought this was wierd so i checked power to coils, they all had power Then i took the CAS out and turned it by hand, IT SPARKED! So it was sparking when i turned the CAS but not when i cranked the engine. So then i thought the exhaust dowel must have snapped off, so i looked at that, and no it hadnt snapped off, i even compared the size of the dowel to the redtop RB20 i have sitting here, and they were both exactly the same! So now im confused as to why it sparks by hand, but wont spark when the engine is cranked. One more thing, when i got the wiring loom it was missing the CAS plug, so i used one out of an RB20 by matching the wire colours using wiring diagrams, so i thought i might have got something wrong? but still doesnt explain why it would spark by hand and not when cranked any help would be much appreciated guys as at this point i have run out of ideas cheers guys Chester

Hey guys just need some help finishing my Rb25det series 1 conversion in my HR31 Coupe (1) The wiring loom I got had the CAS plug cut off it, I've got a CAS plug off a RB20 silvertop, and a RB20 Redtop, can either of these be spliced on to fit? And how would I find out what colours etc. wiring diagram (2) What are these plugs? (3) what plug do i wire constant power, and ignition into? thanks in advance for the help guys Cheers Chester

hey guys just wondering, im doing an rb25det conversion in my hr31, and the engine didnt come with the loom that connects to the ECU so what im asking is will a non turbo loom fit, im using my ECU and all that, just wondering if the turbo loom has different connectors the manifold pressure sensor is on a different loom, and im not sure if there would be any other differences for turbo also would i be able to use a S2 turbo loom instead of S1 cheers guys Chester

hey guys just got a couple of parts for sale r33 aircon pump, and 2 hoses coming off it - $20 r33 alternator - $20 r33 power steering pump - $20 rb25 flywheel, needs to be machined - $20 rb25 bracket, pulley that connects to aircon? - free r33 crossover pipe? the part that comes out of the throttle body (painted red ) - $10 got a couple of other random parts open to offers guys, this stuff is of no use to me cheers Chester

hey guys, i have just finished replacing my headgasket on my HR31 with a redtop rb20 nics. i finished putting it back together, and the first couple of times i went to start it, it would fire a couple of times then die. after the first few times it wont fire at all now. we tested the plugs and leads, and they both have spark, also there is fuel going in when we were testing the plugs. so it has fuel and spark, yet still wont turn over. also what am i meant to do to align the 'cam position sensor?' the big silver thing on the front of the cam. there are 2 plugs which i can find where they go, im pretty sure the grey one wasnt connected at all.... thanks guys Chester

hey everyone i bought a HR31 skyline about a month ago and within 2 weeks of owning it, it blew a head gasket, so i pulled the head off and the head is screwed : so anyway im looking for an rb20 or rb25, so if anyone knows of one for sale, front cut would be nice or out of a wrecked skyline, but anything will do at this stage thanks Chester
