hey just wondering whats the best way to get better fuel economy i put a bov on the other day and since then i get 45k's to 10 bucks and i hardly give it the boot but i could feel it had more power now taking it off im back to my 10 bucks to 100k's but can i get even better? also the bov i used was a gfb basic would a gfb hybrid or turbosmart dual port be more fuel economic? need some tips n tricks! since i got the car ive done these things (the car is fully stock standard) changed oil (crap valvoline xld in it FFS!) to pennzoil gt performance 10-40 semi synth (gotta change every 5thou k's or 3 months so im not going expensive stuff cause $40 for 5ltrs is enuff) put a jamex sports panel filter in (felt a touch more power from changing the stock paper 1 to that) and changed fuel filter now if there is anything i can do in these regards A: get more power but keep the fuel economy near the same or B: get better economy full stop how it is thanks for inputerers

reading this i found out what the fuel filter is now theres a couple of types the z200 is the straight version no right angle at the top the z387 is the 1 u need i went to repco and found this out as in their book it says the z387 gos on the R32 i had a z200 and found that i needed a angled top pipe connection so i got it replaced another thing the "ryco" branded fuel filter costs 30 bucks and the repco branded fuel filter costs 15 bucks aslong as we only use bp 98 then we should be fine with the cheap 1

yeah i got these speakers in the rear of my car they look avg but sound better than any mainstream set of splits pioneer bullets , kenwood dual mags , alpine type R , clarion etc and these r only 2 ways! i bought mine for 100 bucks from alberts (they were old demo stock) but they r like a 3yrs old model they'd be a good rear speaker cause for 150 u wont get better and if i was gonna get a rear speaker it would be mbquart but prolly the DSC216 splits cause i can get em for near cost and they would match my DSD216 in the front

ahh ok my cars stock as atm 93 r32 and when i say stock its like it just walked out of the factory not a thing changed hell the fuel filter isnt even changed! doin it tomorrow

my 93 r32 has done 70 thou the importer gets services done on his cars at 2 places repco and a local mechanic the local mechanic uses mobil 1 fully synth or mobil S semi in skylines but ****in repco puts in valvoline xld!~@#!@ my car has had XLD in it for 4 thou k's before i got it which doesnt make me happy its a 20-50 shit oil i ran it in my old astra and then switched to gtx3 and even knew the difference i just dumped the oil and it was black and shitty and then ran about 3/4 a ltr of pennzoil gt performance semi synth 10-40 to wash some of the shit oil out then filled it up with the pennz and the car runs much smoother its not funny but im still not happy cause the engine will still have some crap oil in it but it should be ok till i dump the oil next time (only another 4 thou k's) then ill put prolly mobil 1 semi synth which is basically the same as the gt performance pennz i have to change every 3 months or 5 thou cause of my aswn warranty so going mobil 1 wouldnt really make a diff and it would be soo much more expensive

well there is obviously a fuse or sumthin in my old astra i disconnected the fuel pump wire and then it was fine

at famous my r32 turbo was 1800 a yr unblemished record and im 21

well dude i went to buy a gfb basic off a guy put it on my car used it for a day and the prick chewed up all my petrol looks like ill go buy a hybrid

ah well yeah it does it when it wants to spose it is just that who knows! the cars got a 3 yr warranty hopefully if it is sumthin bad it just dies soon and it can get fixed

when machining ya should replace the discs after or not my fronts r a bit bumpy but not noticable when ya drive

i just got mine 70 thou and its stock standard pissed off its got a couple of little oil leaks but they r gettin fixed up i think its sump and a pipe up near the turbo i think it will be just loose screws

hey i just put a gfb basic on my r32 auto gtst now they said wind the end in fully then loosen out when i took my foot off accel it made a boing type noise no psssshh i loosened it a bit more and then the same and even more but it only did it a touch now what is that "boing" type noise and what damage can it do if any at all i dont wanna hurt my baby

hey all got my new car and im sussing out problems theres a slight clunk/ticking noise on the turbo side (passenger side) at the front below the airbox i THINK it also seems to do it when the cars turned off just wondering what this could be i get worried cause i spent this $ and i want everything perfect as can be

hey i read up an adapter costs stuff all and id be able to make 1 up myself anyway but ill grab all the stuff u have the thing is i wont be able to afford it till say 2-3 weeks time if u wanna hold it till then for us then cool if ya in a hurry then get rid of it its no prob the turbosmart type 2 was the 1 i was really after cause it looks good and isnt over the top anyway upto u hear from ya later
