  4. hey mate after a price for a pair of r33 gtst rotors (296 x 30mm rotors) Can I have a quote both for slotted and for swirl Also can you give me a price for a rear pair of z31 rotors (290mm solid) again in swirl and in slotted cheers James
  5. guys for those that have asked me. The calipers were rebuilt about two weeks ago and I have the receipt. Done by brake re sleeving in Queanbeyan. This is the place that all of Canberra and Queanbeyan use to rebuild brakes. Great work and everything done professionally. cheers James
  6. Couple of people have asked so just thought I would clarify these are definately from an R33 GTST turbo cheers James
  7. cheers mate did not realise the rule. Well they cost $300 to buy and 200 to rebuild so $460. cheers James
  8. Hey guys As the add says. I have a set of freshly rebuilt r33 calipers. These are designed to hold a 296mm x 30mm rotor. I bought these recently and had them professionally bead blasted, stripped and new seals, rings etc installed. They even come with original pads with pretty much 90% meat left. Shows that these calipers have hardly been used. Includes all clips, backing plates, rods, bolts etc etc. They are currently bare metal alloy and look a million bucks. I am guessing anyone interested would know how much these are worth in good knick and how much to rebuild them. anyone interested give me an email with a reasonable price. Sorry no picks at present but can be arranged with interest. cheers James
  9. hey guys does anyone know what diff this is from? I am guessing it is an open R180. They are also circlip type halfshafts by the look of them..... Is it hard to put say a WRX sti centre in one of these or will the cvs be the limiting factor? cheers James Shot with u30D,S410D,u410D at 2007-07-13
  10. Hey mate I am not sure if this in your area of expertise but I am looking at grabbing a set of King Springs The part number is KPS-101-X5K As you probably know they go up by 25lb from 200lbs to about 1000lbs Anyway. I want to run these in the front of a datto 1600 on r31 struts. The car will weigh approx 1000-1100kg with me in it. What is a good spring rate for this car used on the street with KYB uprated shocks giving a firm yet comfortable ride? I think hub height to guard is about 330mm if that helps at all. I have been told 200lbs is a good rate. Any help would be most appreciated. cheers James
  11. I take it that it is not hard to get a kit through them if they are not pulled apart? IE to put new piston seals etc in? I have been quoted $95 per caliper to rebuild by a place in Queanbeyan.....this sound right or a bit pricey? It includes stripping them down, cleaning, new kit. Obviously does not include painting. I am not sure if powder coating is as good or whatever when compared with powder coating calipers....??? cheers James
  12. hey mate I am guessing just taping over the pistons will be enough to stop the media blast damaging them? I was going to bead blast minimum to minimise the amount of crap getting inside the calipers. Does it matter if the exposed part of the calipers are blasted???? I take it that it would be bad for the sleeve where the piston slids into the calipers to get any sort of blasting on its surface??? cheers James
  13. Hey guys I have recently grabbed some R33 gtst calipers which need a bit of a clean up. They have ha dodgey paint job done on them and I want them back to factory look if possible. I am happy on splitting them apart with an air compressor etc and running a kit through them. My question is with regards to getting rid of the paint, grease, dir, crap etc. Should I acid dip or is this a bad idea? Can I get them media blasted with a fairly gentle grade? I am guessing I can whack on bleed nipples over the inlet and bleed attachment to stop media getting into the caliper itself???? Any ideas or opinions would be great cheers James
  14. Hey mate I know I missed this group buy but I was wondering what price I would be looking at for a pair of front r33 gtst rotors and can you get them undrilled at all? IE blank? cheers James
