  1. Not totally sure how to edit the original post or subject heading to say it's sold...
  2. Thanks, bud. It's up on GTiR-OZ, but not PGA yet. Cheers for the tip.
  3. Year: 1994 Colour: Factory Black Location: South Perth Reg & Expiry: Expires 3/11/2013. VIN: RNN14-______ [TBC] Kilometres: 144XXX km Price: $7500 Contact: Scott - 0423 351 508 scottrichards _ at _ hotmail _ dot _ com Details: So the time has come to sell my pulsar. I bought it sometime early September 2010 with a couple of modifications (folder of his receipts will come with the car). It had a couple of dents and a cracked bonnet, supposedly from some drunken buffoon jumping on it after it was left parked in Northbridge on a Saturday night, but I loved the car none the less. Since then, I've been slowly modifying it over the years, and observing the differences the modifications made to my track times. It's been taken out on Barbagallo probably 5 or 6 times over the years. Besides that, it's been nanny-driven around the streets most of it's life with me. About 4 months ago, I discovered that the centre differential in my car was not working properly, and only recently have I put in a new gearbox (supposedly from a car with about 80k on the clock, but no documentation to confirm.) It got tuned last Friday, with a safe tune result of 162kw atw at 1bar of boost. Anyway, here's the list of modification. Pretty sure I have receipts for all of these items, but if there's any you'd like in particular, please feel free to ask. All of the receipts (as well as the previous owners receipts) will be passed on to the new owner. Brakes: Renault Clio Rotors Evo 3 calipers (rebuilt by Perth Brake Parts) Project mu pads (recently fitted with new HC+ pads) HEL braided lines Suspension/Drivetrain: BC Coilovers (BR Series) Cusco front strut brace Cusco rear strut brace Cusco underbody brace version 2 Whilteline rear swaybar Whilteline castor kit Custom Modena Front Diff (aaaawwwwww yeeeeeaaahh!) Recently replaced gearbox (now with new passenger side oil seal and mystery centre diff!) Redline Shockproof Lightweight oil Engine: Full 3" exhaust K&N air filter Heavy Duty Clutch (Checked when replaced the gearbox. Plenty of meat left on it) Oil cooler/filter relocation kit (oil cooler located in drivers-side brake duct area) Bosch 984 fuel pump New gaskets on turbo PowerFC ECU Braided oil and water lines for turbo CES dump pipe Spitfire leads New dizzy Oil catch can Z32 AFM New Sard 650cc injectors Profec B Spec 2 Boost controller Wheels/Tyres: Rav's Engineering Vorks - 15" x 6.5" +40 offset powdercoated in black Advan Neova AD08 205/50's Cons: Cracked bonnet, couple of dents here and there. No A/C Driver's side window needs a little bit of a helping hand to get to the top Reason for sale: Bored with life in Perth and moving to Vancouver. I've added a couple of pics that I've taken over the years. I'll grab some of the engine bay when I can, but basically it looks like a normal engine bay...but with no A/C...and an oil catch can installed.
  4. Sorry mate, don't need either of those sets. Went and got myself a GTi-R this time And yeah, pretty sure they won't fit the rb25 fuel rail.
  5. Got a set of Sard 550cc Injectors here. Originally bought from THIS user here. I had planned to put them in my ceffy once I got a new turbo, but I wrote off my ceffy before I had a chance to fit them Got them ultrasonically cleaned by Imports101 for $170 and they're still sitting in the box. Got the results and receipt to prove it. Direct bolt on for RB20's, and don't require a resistor pack. $550 ONO Located in Perth. Willing to post.
  6. My abs is in desperate need of a fixing. Not sure if it would be the same as yours though. Mine's from a 1989 cefiro, rb20DET. The part number on my unit is 47600-71L00. Also, how did you bleed it through?
  7. My ABS modulator: Well, it's leaking. pretty bad too. I'm having a bit of trouble sourcing a replacement, and braking specialists won't go near it as its a non-servicable item. The only help I've been able to find is about the landrover discovery 1999. Apparently quite alot of them had problems with the abs modulator, and one guy in perth was pretty confident in taking them apart and cleaning them up. Apart from that, no one wants to touch them. It leaks whenever I use the brakes, despite that the abs is never used. The car is a '89 cefiro, came stock with rb20DET. Anyone had a similar problem? Any solutions? Cheers.
  8. No idea what the exhaust is currently. a 2.5 inch turbo back as far as I can see. There's a big "R32" written on there in white paint it looks like, but thats about it. Initially, east perth put this on the list of things to do: "obtain permits for all modifications". No other way to read that as far as I'm concerned. So I filled in the form like a good boy, handed it in, and instead of getting my permits, i was given the gift of a letter telling me I need engineers approval of all modifications. So, I went and found myself a signatory engineer to help me (which he did, and still is doing). So we handed in the engineers approval of all modifications. Next, I was given a letter that certain checklists in the VSB14 had to be filled out, along with a certification of LT4 noise test. I always thought permits were never requirements either. But apparently they are. Well, atleast to me anyway it would seem. When I spoke to the signatory noise tester in Como, he (along with the engineer that is helping me) told me its actually quite hard to pass the static noise test (the one where the microphone is placed at a 45 degree angle a few metres away from the exhaust, and you rev it up to 2500rpm or 5000rpm or something like that, and it has to remain under 90dB). The signatory told me that if your car is slightly louder than stock, then you're gonna have a hard time passing the test. I just figured I'd give this a shot, instead of forking out the 280 for the test, along with whatever its going to cost me to get my exhaust silenced. I figured a stock ceffy exhaust was going to be bloody hard to come by, but figured there was no harm in trying. If I managed to get a stock exhaust, or even a stock sil or skyline exhaust (not sure if the fit on or not though), then I could just say that its the stock, and not have to get a noise test. There are that many people driving around with modified muffler and exhaust systems, so I figured they wouldn't pull me up JUST for the exhaust in the future. The only reason they're doing it to me now is that its just one of the things in the entire list of shit to fix on my car. So yeah. in short. Can't get yellow off until i meet all the requirements. Can't meet all the requirements until I get all my permits. Can't get all my permits until I pass LT4, or atleast have a reason not to do it. Any idea how much I'd be looking at, and who to talk to to have a exhaust shop silence mine? After doing so, can they guarantee that it will meet the requirements of 90dB? I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. It's been a long 4 and a half months of yellow stickerness...
  9. Part of the yellow sticker is getting permits for everything, and to get a permit for my exhaust, I need to pass section LT4 of the VSB 14, the noise test. There are 6 licensed signatories in perth who are allowed to test this. One is in Gerraldton, one is in Busselton, the guy in Marangaroo said he doesn't do it anymore because he doesn't want to go to court, the guy in Ascot no longer works there, the guy in Malaga isn't answering his phone, and the guy in Como said its $280 and pretty hard to pass. So...Anyone have a spare ceffy exhaust I can put on for a bit? There's a carton of beer in it for ya.....
  10. took the car to MTQ Engine Systems. Had a look at it and got an answer of a hitachi HT18. Sound about right to everyone else?
  11. The people who hand out the permits. the Tech department. They're the ones who want proof. Can't really get much better pics than that without taking it out ey. That's alot of effort. And i'm not too much of a fan of effort. I'm taking it to a turbo place tomorrow (hopefully) who will be able to identify it for me. I'm also just going to remove the blowoff, so incase I don't have a stock turbo, they don't have any reason to suspect that it isn't stock at all. Removing the BOV will be a shit of a job though, as they bolted it together, THEN welded it on, making getting to the alan key bolts near impossible. Jerks.
  12. Just talked to a nissan dealership person over east, who assured me that almost all the nissan turbos are Garrett. However they have used Hitachi on a few. No real help there. Come on, surely someone has to have a reliable source of information as to what the stock ceffy turbo is! NEW UPDATE: Here's a list of the responses I've got: Turbo Tech: hitachi ht18 C-red: Garrett T3 Tanaga Motorsport: maybe T28, not sure though MTQ turbos: t3 t4 hybrid maybe Xspeed: hitachi. he sounded very sure of himself Kensei Garage: garrett t3 (maybe)
  13. f**ked up, isn't it. They say because I have a blowoff valve on, that I OBVIOUSLY have a larger turbo installed too, therefore needing an emissions test. Just called up a place called TurboTech, in perth, and they say that the stock turbo on all rb20det's is a hitachi HT18. Any confirmation on this?
