  1. Not dreaming, just don't hang on your every word. I reply to Pm's but not trash on a chat site. I have rung the number provided but he wasn't suitable. Original post indicates what I'm after and just to satisfy your genius mind, its gearbox.
  2. Im locked in some R&D to give you a competitive edge(I believe) but I need a car for trial work. Your parts are free but you must be patient and research is confidential until market. interested? PM me in the first instance

  4. I'm happy for anyone to post it in an appropriate section. I don't post on the skylines board often but use it as a source of info. Put it where it spreads an extremely important message best. Cheers.
  5. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/813130...eel-strikes-boy try that. I am hopeless at cutting / pasting linking things.
  6. I'm sorry, my wrong; the little fella was injured not killed however he is in a critical condition. Lets wish him well.
  7. I do hope this owner wasn't using spacers. They put excessive stress on the wheels stud and cause these types of failures. If this is the case you can expect a blitz on wheels and their compliance, for obvious reasons.

As it says............I just can't find a complete Getrag 6 speed inc transfer case. Where can I get a brand new one if not a second hand good condition.
  9. K how 'bout some history/ tell all lies and stories y'know about the church on sundays etc............how good is good and pics please
  10. how 'bout that. I'm interested. Can you give me history........wrecking car......thrashed box been exchanged???
  11. Item:As it says Age: Condition:Good/excellent Price: To Fit:Project Location:Brisbane Contact: Comments:Chasing a complete box for a project that I'm on at the moment. I particularly want the R34.
  12. I know I have probrems with my crutch sometimes and its great to see a whole factory dedicating expansion to cater for such probrems! I have to undergo crutch surgery here in Australia to get ready for my 35 derivery!!
  13. As it all says above. I'm new to the godzilla and want a genuine article. (edit spelling)
  14. I ahve a quaife in a 525+whp Z and its perfect!
  15. VQ35 engine builds can be very EXPENSIVE. Once done correctly, they are very sweet. Problem to a large extent is that they are relatively young and new tecniques are being discovered all the time. As soon as I paid for the JUN stroker kit, a new cheaper Aus version hit the streets. (it looks good too) As soon as I got the APS plenum, Cosworth released their new one. I'm getting the new 38GTR which is putting out less than I am currently however with its awd its going to be hard to beat. I'm sure its going to be fun to match them both, but it would be sweet for the Z to give it a hard time. All I can look forward to now is a loose r send every time it "brings it orn" from about 4000rpm through to redline.
  16. Thanks for the information and pics. Fleshed out beautifully! The M35 seems to be a more compact system then (allbeit auto) Second thoughts are probably along the lines of not wanting to butcher the new car to that extent.
  17. Ahh, grasshopper, the question was designed to draw out the knowledgable ones such as yourself, so that I can sort the sh#t from the clay. I had read somewhere about a triptronic in a 34 but I was on the fly and didn't absorb the total post. In any case, to me it would seem, I am better off diving into this community with such a depth of knowledge it can fast track my process with the "intimate knowledge stuff" that you would pick up from a Z forum if you were into them. Clearly you are unaware of the JUN conversion using a 33 which just bolted up with a conversion welding job (rough as guts I might add, as R&D often is) I just don't want rough or 5 speed. I Don't think the floor is an issue as it has a pressed recess for a transfer case and can easily accommodate the bulk as the M35 bolts straight up without a single mod except for the front end. I just dont want an auto as it would sh#t itself in seconds. The only ugly thing about the 34 box is probably going to be the bellhousing situation. I have a supplier rustling me up a new 34 box so that we can check it all out. After doing a bit of searching it seems they are hard to get and have probably been thrashed if second hand anyway. If it doesn't work out I will sure be able to sell it to the skyline enthusiasts. To Marco-R34GTT, I don't remember posting swap, I said spare. $1700 + freight from Brisbane and its yours. I believe its from an '04 with no K's to mention.
  18. I am new the forums and my journey isn't because I have a skyline but rather I want to use the drive system. I have a new anniversary 350Z that is JUN stroked (3.8) with Cosworth Heads, light flywheel, APS TT extreme system (only 12 psi at this stage), Tein Suspension and RP Racing Big Brakes 6/4's. Quaife diff with a 3.3 F/D and big axles. It is a widebody with Strosek Kit. There are a heap of internal machining bits and pieces that are still under development but its working extremely well with its closed deck. Its currently puting out a modest 396 rwkw with 600nm torque with a very wide and usable curve. We can easily add another 100kw to that, but thats for later. The project has been expensive but absolute fun. The car isn't a daily driver so I guess I can afford to take my time. The engine is coming out soon for some adjustments and more internal stuff, however I am looking at fitting the ATESSA drive system using a combination of M35X and R34 bits and pieces in an attempt to get power to the ground. It spontaneously breaks loose under WOT at about 4000 rpm - 7000 and although very predictable, its still wasting time and energy. It is an absolute hoot to drive. I am picking your collective brains. This has only been done by JUN in Japan and the job was for track work and it looks butchered but effective. They cut the front off an r33 box and welded a VQ bellhousing to it.... ruf ruf. The only other one has been done near New York and its an auto with small power, but its a straight bolt on job using the M35X running gear. They only use auto transmissions. I want to get this right and so far it seems the most suitable box is the R34. Is it a strong box? Are there after market gears available? I have no obejction to buying new if I can get one, or rebuilding one to suit. What price should I be looking at?SWAMP me with information please so that I can get on a fast learning curve and get this project up and spanking the new GTR's......when they arrive.
  19. I'm new here so treat me gently. How does the attessa system handle different rolling diametres within front rear tyres? does the % torque system take care of the different speeds or do you have to have your tyres whithin a fraction of each other.?
  20. OK, trying not to highjack this thread but Is an R34 box a genuine 6 speed manual? or semi auto. I have a Z in Brisbane putting out way too much hp to get it down, so its going awd. The VQ35 family doesn't have an awd 6 speed manual so I have to either convert the original box or find an alternative. I don't want to go sequential/ hollinger as its too noisy. The rest is bolt on stuff and dead easy. I have checked the r34 ratios and they are ..............close enough for me, taller actually so that is good. My F/D is 3.3 which is the auto ratio out of an m35 which will match the front setup.. Is the box strong? Can you get them?
  21. Ok I'm new to these "boreds", but couldn't think of a better spot to get some unbiased comment. Which gearbox is the best to handle 600-700 RWHP? I would love to get a G35X Manual 6 speed but thats isn't being built yet I believe. What could I expect to pay for a mint condition (recomendation box above)?
