  1. we have done a couple of internally gated 3076s kits and some of the high flows with 3076 core.

I dont know there ok but in all cases the internal gate is the restriction . they will make a handy 350hp+ but the external gate variant would make up to 100hp more

also some of the cheap siemens/bosch with rail kits on ebay do not fit under the std plenum despite what they tell you . bolt in denso injectors will be a few hundred more but no need to mess around with rail , fittings , plenum if required.

  2. you can have one legally if it is part of the alarm/emobiliser.... so that if someone tries to get in then the engine will shut off...

i have passed the pits with mine on and he simply asked me to shut the engine down.... same as the police whenever i get pulled over...

They are not legal if they are built in to the alarm or immobilizer , they are tolerated though and generally the pits and police are OK with them.

ADR 25-Turbo timers are not to be fitted to vehicles manufactured on or after 1 January 1972 (ADR 25 Anti-

Theft Locks). ADR 25 requires that the normal function of the engine only occurs when the ignition

lock is in the engine on position.

You may find it difficult to find a reputable person to fit the turbo timer with the immobiliser , not because of the ADR issues but because a relay bypass must be wired into the alarm to disable it while the turbo timer is operational , leaving the car unsecured and the installer liable.

here is a nice thread , read the comments by the alarm installers in it and the stuff on bypassing security

  3. whats the price right now for an r33 gtst?

1650$ is RRP for a link gtst/gtr plug in board . they are pretty strict on it so it should be no more no less . The vipec pricing can be a little wobbly as you have to factor in the state/regional distros and how much markup/discount they are giving to the next supplier in the chain.

link/vipec is still the best ecu in price range by far IMO

  4. I'm pushing 260 ish rwhp in my 350zee

and my old r33 skyline r33 made 278rwhp at 13psi with just a 3 1/2 cat back and intercooler

but the standard 7psi sounds pretty good!

    not bad for a 3.5na

    mods ?

240-280rwhp is pretty good for a std turbo stock ecu car with the usual bolt on mods

  5. Scarborough beach has now become a local african village so potentially better you didn't head down there. Few nights ago they had a tribal war down there, was really out of control. (this isn't a lie I was there for serious)

I was there last night and a bunch of them were doing the Macarena.. THE MUTHAFURKING MACARENA... i mean.. jesus..

    k thx

    the memories!

  6. Shouldn't need a fpr, aslong as the fuel pump is in good order the ecu will do the rest. You generally want to trim a bit of fuel out anyway which is why people get SAFC's for minor mods instead of a full tune.

P.S. my last power run cost $70, not a big cost to make sure your afr's are alright..

+1 spend 70$ and get it checked on the dyno

stock ecu's can be strange things , lean when they should be rich and vice versa

  7. wow this thread is going well

have you checked to see how much oil is actually in the car before you swap it out , its probably half full

we only charge 135$ for a oil and filter service and there are a few other workshops who have skyline experience charging around that . it doesn't really cost anymore . ring around the consolidated workshop thread and you'll get a good price

  8. on every random inspection I have ever had they just rock up with no notice .

on my last sample car the inspector told me an amusing story where they did another sample car inspection , finished a little early , had some time to kill so wen't back to the same workshop to do a random inspection on a different car

    surprise!

  9. resistance and visual damage does not always mean much , i have seen many that look in perfect condition , measure fine and still die under load

also they often spark at idle but break down under full load

best way to tell is to get a good coil and swap them out one by one and test under load

did you replace all the coil packs with something decent like splitfires last time or did you just replace the 1 with a stock one ?

if so get some splitfires and never worry about it again

  10. 33s have speed variable power steering , softer at low km , harder at high km

depending on how hicas is cancelled you will lose the variable part and only have the harder setting
