  1. I get yearly blood tests and I don't know about full panel, but my testosterone range always falls within normal...perhaps it could benefit from a minor boost...but there are other glands and hormones responsible for libido and they may be taxing me. I'm sure the hypothalamus in all it's regulatory glory would be impacting it somewhat. I seem to get libido in phases...can have a couple weeks of constant sex drive where I can't think of anything else, followed by very little interest in it for a couple weeks. It's weird. Prolly aligned to the moon phases lol

A lot of it has to do with tiredness and energy, I know this much. After a heavy gym session of high intensity or even with doms and fatigue the next day, the last thing I feel like doing sometimes is something energetic like having sex. Where this is a big problem is that your partner can take it personally and think it's a problem with them, lack of attraction etc. when it's a problem with you.

    The...the feels are too strong

  2. While I'm firmly against the ridiculous overblown FAD (which it's nothing more than) against gluten we're seeing in recent years, and a firm believer that unless you've been diagnosed with gluten intolerance cutting it out is completely unnecessary and you're a FOTM hipster top bloke, I will attest that even though I don't have any medical intolerance to gluten, I still get a bit of bloating from eating wheat based products particularly of the refined-to-all-f**k variety like bleached white flour. That being said, this bloating is likely nothing to do with gluten. or very little, and is just minor irritation from excessive amounts of fluids being pulled through my GI tract (this is just speculation though).

EDIT: LOL I forgot about the mad word filters on SAU.

My body doesn't like white pasta but white rice I'm fine with. I've noticed with my partner being gluten intolerant that if I eat gluten free white pasta it has no negative effects on me. So maybe give that a shot if you want.

  3. I don't understand BN's protein matrix. What's the point of mixing a whole bunch of proteins together?

I bought some BCAA recovery (watermelon) from them. Not particularly impressed with the flavour as it tastes like weak cordial. Also got the free bag of green fusion, doesn't taste too bad, might make it a usual

  4. that's what I am doing at the moment, just trying to blend the fark out of it. was just checking whether it's common, as it hasn't happened with any other products I have used previously.

Gts30t, agree with the suss name bit.

Please note, In geographical areas with high humidity it is very important to keep this product sealed from moisture. If left exposed to moisture, this product may begin to 'clump' or the powder colour may darken. During summer or in areas with year round high humidity, we recommend all consumers store NO3X in the refrigerator. We recommend NO3X to be consumed between 30-60 days after opening.

Although clumping may make the product slightly harder to serve and mix, this does not reduce product potency at all.

  5. It's black and in very good condition. Some very minor scratches outside and it has some gutter rash but he's getting that fixed for me. I went and saw two, the other one was a white 2012 model so it had xenon headlights, 10 speaker bose system and some other wanky features, it was also $7000 more with slightly more k's so I couldn't justify that much money for those features. Plus by the time I got the extended warranty the black one was hitting my upper limit of what I wanted to pay anyway.

  6. Ended up buying a 2011 Mazda MPS.

Funny story though...Went to leave and I got locked in because they had pulled the bollards up. Lucky I'm quite a light hearted person. So currently my 33 is in the car yard blocked in with the other cars so they can't get to my rims until Monday 70km away from where I live and I'm currently driving a 2011 SS they lent me from their yarduntil Monday. They're really going out on a limb, they'll get heavily fined if I get caught speeding, crash it or whatever...

  7. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I've ruled out buying a new performance car for financial reasons (I can afford a new WRX but I can't justify the money spent vs gain, plus keeps my mortgage lower). Also my heart is with performance so definitely not getting a new Mazda SP25 like I had previously said.

So I'm left with upgrading my 33 or buying an evo8mr or 9. I'm just getting quotes on parts I'd need for the 33 (it's just basic tuned 200rwkw and needs very minor TLC) and comparing with the price difference if I were to get the Evo.

It would be nice to have the Evo, but not so nice when I would have to pay ~$20k additional when I sell my 33, when I could upgrade my 33 for 1/4 of the price. Also considering I don't drive my car a lot it kind of makes sense.

  8. Hi Dan.

I do not understand, you have had your 33 for 8 years that you seem to like and will miss. You do not drive it very much or utilize the go peddle.

What makes you feel you have to sell it, is it laggy and crap to drive in the city or just sick of it ??

If I only had to have one car I would keep my 34.

KEEP IT and be happy :)

    Pete

I wouldn't say I'm sick of it, I definitely enjoy the drive but the depreciation is starting to come out and I think for the money I would need to spend to fix the problems is it worth just buying a new car and not having to worry about it? Even if it's only $2000 to fix the problems that could be $2000 I could put towards a new car because I may end up selling in a year, that's how I look at it.

Wheel bearings? Lifetime of vehicle? You've never owned a Subaru, I gather.

    But I digress

    Dan, Couple of questions:

    1) What is your definition of performance? If you're chasing sub 6 sec 0-100 (ie straight line acceleration) then you'll be disappointed in any of the current hot hatches on the market. Personally I reckon a good measure of performance is lap times around a track, and any of the options I gave in my first post will be pretty handy at a race track. In fact, I'd wager they would all give your R33 a shake up around a track (depending on the spec of your current car, that is). Based on that, these cars still make a hell of a lot of sense. Maybe you need to drive one before dismissing them completely. In fact, on slippery stuff (khana, autocross) I'd say even my focus has a better than even chance of being quicker than your R33. Don't underestimate the value of late braking and cornering speed

    2) Why do you need a new car? It's nice to be able to write new cars off as a business expense, but buying new really doesn't make good financial sense. If you can go for something 3-5 years old, it will really open up the market to you. Even getting something 1-2 years old can save a few $$, and still give you the balance of new car warranty for peace of mind.

1/ 0-100 in 6 seconds or under is what I would consider performance. I could get that in an EVO IX which has the awd to get me around the bends, under 30k, stylish (imo) and 4 door for a bit more convenience - to me, the ideal car.

2/ Warranty, shouldn't have problems being a new car, newer technology, no depreciation, don't have to worry where you park, better fuel economy don't have to do regular maintenance i.e. dropping oil, spark plugs etc.

It seems most people are saying I will regret it, which is what I was thinking myself.

  9. All depends I guess.

I went from an 09 WRX to a new Focus sport. The Focus is cheap and cheery (virtually a straight trade for an almost 5 year old Rex to brand new Focus) and fun to throw around, but nothing like the buzz of some decent power under the right foot. I don't really miss the Rex, but I'm not one to fang around on the roads much anyway, so I found that I wasn't really using the performance of the Rex that often.

What do you want? a "performance" car or a fun car? There are plenty of cheap (<30k) fun cars with reasonable performance (eg Fiesta ST, Polo GTI, Clio RS Sport, Toyo 86). None of these will win too many traffic lights grand prix, but can still be a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

I have a gravel rally car, as well as a tarmac car in the build (if I ever get it finished!!) so don't see the need to spend lots on a fast road car - it will only tempt me to do stupid things anyway.

As for RBrennan's comments - yeh I agree. I think if I had to drive a Camry I'd probably be suicidal. There's only so far one can lower one's standards :)

Depends on what you want out of a car. If you spend a lot of time sitting in traffic then you won't miss it much. It also depends on what you replace it with. If it's something nice to drive with a bit of poke and comfy seats, etc, you won't miss it much at all.

Does the car have to be new? If not, look at a few year old mazda 3 mps. Then you won't miss your skyline at all. I drove a mates one a while back. They go like stink and are great to drive.

For me it isn't so much the performance that I miss so much, as the general ride and comfort of lessor cars. The missus car (n15 sss pulsar) was similar in comfort and ride to my 33, but obviously not as powerful (although it's as fast, if not faster than a natro skyline thanks to a few mods). My current car is a 1.5l mirage. It's gutless, the steering weight is ordinary, the ride is ordinary, the seats are crap but it's dirt cheap to run (I drove 730kms a week to and from work and it costs me about $65 a week). The lack of comfort and power get to me. When I had my 33 and I drove the pulsar I didn't really mind as it was nice to drive and still has enough go. When I drove mum's corolla the lack of power didn't really bother me, but again the poor seats and neutral ride leaves me feeling a bit empty.

Now when I hop in the missus car I'm happy from the moment my arse hits the seat because there's still some sort of sportiness to it. And when I took my mates mazda 3 mps for a drive I liked it before I'd even turned the key. It was even just a nice place to sit.

If going a new car, and thus ruling out most of the current turbo hatch models at the moment, I'd at least try and go the sports version of it means you get better seats and a more sporty ride, as that will make it more enjoyable than how fast it if

I have seen a few $30k new cars which look like fun cars to drive but I want performance as well and if that's what I want I would need to spend $45k to get myself a new wrx which I just can't justify. I drive my skyline a 20km round trip to the train station and home 5x a week and use it on the weekend for errands and that's it, I rarely give it the beans.

What I am tossing up between is either an EVO IX or a 2014 Mazda 3 SP25. There are much more advantages of owning the Mazda but on the other hand I don't know if I can get over the performance side of things.

  10. Just wondering if there is anyone on here who has gone from owning a performance sports car and switched to a 'normal' car i.e. mazda 3. Do you regret it?

I've had my skyline for 7 years going on 8 and I can't decide whether or not I want a normal car. I only want to spend 30k and there are no NEW performance cars in that price range.

  11. Have tried BN WPC chocolate, choc mint, mocha, banana. Chocolate is by far the best, banana is nice but very sweet, choc mint and mocha are average.

Have tried BN WPI chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Chocolate and coffee are nice and vanilla has no flavour to me really

  12. I'll admit that I only started using a PWO to make up for lack of sleep (that and was curious about the new product from BN)

I don't think I'll end up using it all the time

You'll be saying this in another month from now and the next, then the next... It's too late bro the damage is done
