Where abouts do I look for the intake plenum?, can it be spotted in the attached pic?...

Hi guys, a few things i'm unsure about...
1. Should there be something attached to the end of this valve?
2. Where abouts do I find the engine number, have scoured all over the engine bay but cant find it on any plates?
3. Dump pipes? I think my R33 has a 3" dump pipe that the previous owner didnt know about. What's the diameter of stock pipes? My 3" pipe comes off the back of turbo and connects to Cat Converter? Yes/No?

I've been scouring the forums for mentions of recommended Workshops/Service Centers in Queensland, but havent had much luck.
Is there are list of Workshops/Service Centers on these forums somewhere that I cant find? If there isn't, it might be a good idea to start one and make it sticky?
If you know of any in Queensland please list them?

Thats a relief, sort of. So its most likely an Electric Gauge problem? I'm not game to take off the dash myself, unless its mega easy.
Might be a job for an Auto Elec?

Bleeder Valve? I'm not sure, where can I find it?
As soon as you turn the car on it goes over 7+, only drops when the car is off.

Hi,
I've only had my R33 a few days and was wondering about the position of the hand on the Boost Gauge? Upon starting the car it rises to over +7, is this normal?
This is going to sound like a real dumb question, but I didnt really notice it before I changed the oil. The Oil Pressure Gauge fluctuates from about 2.5 on idle to 4 when cruising to about 6.5 when giving it a bit of stick, I just wanted to check whether these levels are also OK?
Thanks

Anybody else got some ideas?

Hi Matty,
Think I saw you the other morning in Caloundra?
If it was you, your car was pretty sweet looking.
I'm a newbie to skylines & this forum, just picked up my R33 yesterday...

Thanks for you reply Steve, shes already got Aftermarket Lowered Suspension and Front Bar.
Getting a cold air intake partition was in theb ack of my mind.
So it looks like Management system and IC are the next step...
Is there an abbreviations page somewhere in the FAQ? SAFC?

Sorry my post may have seemed a little misleading.
Its not a fresh import, I bought it locally.
90,000 kms on the clock.
Is gearbox oil an easy job? My servicing experience extends to Oil/Air filter changes & brake calipers.
Plugs?
Timing belt at 100,000kms I spose?

As of later this week I’ll be the proud owner of a 95" R33 GTS25t, during ownership I am looking to only spend around $2000 on mods. At the moment the only non-stock parts are the 3" exhaust, air intake and BOV, I'm not sure what to invest in next.
After doing a bit of reading it seems that if new PartA is installed it can put additional pressure on Partb meaning you need a new PartC, so I’m a little confused. I should note that 80% of my driving is freeway driving.
It looks like most people don’t recommend running the stock turbo over 12psi, if mine was upped to 10-11psi what mods should be added to accommodate this increase with a $2000 budget? Where does a newbie start, second hand FMIC?
Any help here would be great here too!
Cheers

I'll be pickin up my new R33 GTS-t later this week and would like to do my own mini self service soon after, how’s this sound:
- Oil change (Fully synthetic? Something to accommodate freeway driving?)
- Oil filter (145a)
- Clean air filter
- Fuel injectors (metho?)
- Fuel filter (z200?)
- Coolant
- Spark plugs (NGK .08mm)
- Octane Boost :-)
- Reset ECU
- Then a Tune
Anything else?

Just insured a 95 R33 GTS-t for $2000, told them about Just Cars price of $2100 who they beat. I've got a few speeding fines and an at fault accident from a couple of years ago, Rating 4, I'm 24.

Hi Guys,
Looking at getting a 95' R33 GTS-t's (in QLD) and was wondering when it comes to inspections is best to get someone like RACQ/NRMA or someone specialised in the area like someone who works in a perfomance workshop? Also what would the costs be roughly?
I dont know of any performance centers myself locally and because I live on the Sunshine Coast probably getting the car in a workshop would be a hassle?
Edit: I've only recently moved to QLD, is it compulsory in this state to get RWC/SC's when selling a vehicle?
Thanks
