  1. Either a fuse, or sometimes you get a small build up on the contacts. I think its a oxidised layer or something. Just get some sand paper and give it the once over to clean the contacts up. The contacts in the fitting, not the light globe btw.

Thanks, ill try sanding it. The other light burned out too

  2. I noticed that my light bulb is not working when the doors open, or even switch on at all. The other light at the front of the car with the push to operate worked fine.

So i went and bought a new light (12V, 10W) and replaced the old one. It didn't work after doing this, and the stragest thing was that the other light now also wont work.

Does anyone know how this can be fixed? any help would be greatly appreciated. btw my car is a R34Gtt

  3. hey man,

really all the ipod connection is the Aux input. if you can see a tiny hole in the front of the headunit its there, if not its in the back and you may have to purchase a connecter chord that plugs the female and male outputs into one, which will then go to your ipod. They cost about $7. I have the ipod connection in my car and the sound is actually better than what i get on a CD. hope this helps.

    Thanks for the reply..

I bought the unit and got it installed. There is a USB which is not at the front. its comes from the back, and i asked it to be installed thourhg the glovebox. I can plug the iPod to the USB the same way as plugging it to the computer, with the cable provided from apple. I actually find it quite hard and more complex to operate the iPod, so im just going to burn MP3 data CD's given that it can hold about 5-7 albums. In the end its more convenient..

  4. Hey guys, im looking to buy this head unit - KENWOOD KDC-MP4036U

This has a USB feature, which will come in quite handy.. It also mentions that it has iPod connection.. Does anyone know if it is a connection from the front/back. Also is the quality if playing from an iPod good, or is it average?

    Thanks

  5. bendix soft compound brake pads are aus std and are the ones recommended.. i have a hard compound pads that squeel now (which is quite normal) but im in the process of getting it fixed. These ones are racing pads and work best when they get heated up...

  6. I've heard this argument many times, but given that using 91octane fuel (which most regular unleaded is) is risking blowing your engine, ask yourself if it really is cheaper for the sake of $5 a week in savings...

In my opinion spending a little extra on fuel (its not that much really) is very cheap insurance and protection for your engine :)

yeh agreed.. when it comes down to it, the savings are quite minimal, and you relly got to look at the longer term.. i mean u could sacrifice a cup of coffee, or pack of smokes rather than risking ur baby :P

  7. Thanks for all the responses guys..

The pads are new, so its not due to any wear/tear, just that they are racing pads with a hard compound. I could get the softer compound, yet it will get dusty as ppl have pointed out, so yeh.

I decided to give it to the mechanics, they said they will sand it and apply some goo and said that it should reduce the noise, yet there is no guarentee of it not reccuring in the future.

Anyways im glad to know that it is a common occurance and that there is nothing wrong with the brakes. :P

  8. Love this game, have spent many many hours playing it. I was up to 94%. only had 2 endurance races and a few driver missions to go, and my sisters boyfriend decided to take the memory card and delete the save game file. Anyone who has played the game will understand just how much time is involved in getting about 60 or so percent let alone 94! i have started again and im sitting on about 6% now :)

Also, a hint to everyone out there trying the endurance races, Use B spec driver, Put the hardest tyres you can on the car( they last alot longer), Then do to the director's screen and fast forward to 3X the speed, this means a regular 24hour race will only take 8 hours, only problem is when he pits it goes back to the normal screen and normal speed to remember to keep checking up on it.

Most probly already new all that but maybe sum1 didnt :)

    ahhhh.......
