  2. lol guys ok stop bagging the charade man...lol ok i dont like mitsubishi's and find an immaculate rex that no one has put there hands on.. im talking 20k on a gtr that i have test drove and i like, could prob get a bit cheaper, its a fresh import and its only got 70k kms and its immaculate.. just have to get my mechanic to look at it.. i just think 20k is alot of money for a 93 model.. the gtir my friend at work can import cars he has contacts in japan and i could probably get a gtir here for cheaper than 12k, and i will make sure i get an immaculate one and something with low k's.. you know a Grade 4 .. and i dont want another black car, i want to buy a car to drive it not to look at it, and i might even take it down the 1/4 mile or down to wakefield or something one day, i like my cars and know a bit about them but i dont want something thats going to be a bottomless pit like the charade was. yeah i could buy a GTS-T but to get it going i will have to spend money on it and once you start stuffing around with cars to make them go better they F*** up i have learnt from experience.. so i want to seriously buy something stock if i can find it, but i doubt it cause from a most of the imports i've seen they all have at least an exhaust and pod filters on them. but i dont mind that. i will just wack a BOV on and drive it around keep it micky mouse and in a few yrs time sell it and try and get around the same amount of money for it. not pour money into and lose a s*** load of money.. if i was to import a car i will make sure everything is checked over in japan, you know get my friend at works mate in japan to check the car out and make sure its good, and then buy it import it comply it and bob's your aunty.. and i know about all the hidden costs my mate has told about all of them.. and an old stock rex or VR4 i dont know about the GSR's but i don't think it will beat the charade it would be close...lol
  3. ok guys, read all your posts tonight and it's not my first car, at the moment i own a charade and she is a nice little n/a 1.6L worked off its tit, built it up from scratch, and pulls a high 14 down the creek. so i know that a stock, R33 GTS-T or a R34 GT-T stock will probably pull the same time.. wouldnt it? i wanted to get something quicker than the charade, like thats stock, that i dont have to go and pour heaps of money on, like i did with the charade, to get the darn thing going. i like the R33 and R34 dont get me wrong, but i know they are RWD, the way i drive i will be spinning the wheels all ovet the place and never be stuck to the road, at least with the GTR or the GTiR its a 4WD and i will get some traction. i like it when a car just grips and goes, and you can take off at 2-3000rpm without a problem. i duno guys. look i am going to research a bit more but any feedback is still been taking in, you guys have been heaps helpful...
  4. i have read all the extra posts this morning and they are all very true. look my mechanic told me i would be happier with the GTiR but i duno the GTR looks good too. i dont have the time to pull engines out for rebuilds etc. i need to get to work so i cant have a car that after 2 months its off the road cause of problems.. might look into the GTiR for now and maybe later on in life look at a R34 GTR V-Spec ay? and one of you guys said look at a KF TX3.. they are nice but find an immaculate one?? lol they are rare as rocking horse s***... i'm fussy with my cars, everycar i have bought so far have been immaculate, so i dont want to change the trend. also i dont think the KF would go as good as a GTiR... but dont get me wrong i like the KF shape also.
  5. well i am going to get my close friend mechanic to go through the car with a fine tooth comb first before i buy anything. if he gives me the ok then i will buy it..
  6. misc repairs and maintainance? geez are they not reliable? i am just going to keep it stock.. or how they come out from japan. usually cat back exhaust and air filters and maybe bigger FMIC.. do they have problems? please guys the more feedback the better..
  7. geez u must really like your skylines..lol hey a stock skyline gtr vs a stock pulsar gtir it would be a close run.. i think so anyway..
  8. thats what im scared about.. geez if the world was a good place you wouldnt have to worry about S*** like that..
  9. i know that but you said the gtr is a better buy... why do you say that? is it just cause u like skylines or have u heard the pulsars arent that great?
  10. well insurance is 2grand under my dads name.. so im not fussed about that but what maintenance? like are the gtr reliable? i just want a nice quick stock car that is reliable.. driving to and from work and take out on the weekends.. the other issue i have is its going to be parked on the street.. but im in a pretty good area. (touch wood better not jinx myself)..
  11. yeah i thought about that but i don't know i was just going to try anyways. see what people have to say.
  12. Hey Guys, I'm New To the forum and i live in sydney, and im tossing up 2 cars i don't know what to buy. i am looking at either a Nissan Skyline R32 GTR or a Nissan Pulsar GTiR. what do you reckon guys? what am i better off with? i am just thinking i have to pay close to 20 grand for a 93 model GTR when i can buy a GtiR for around 12 and its the same year model. i duno guys im really stuck on this one. tell me what u guys think thanks.
