and the steering wheel?
-
The ones I have are PLFR5A-11 and are listed on the invoice as OEM NGK spark plugs. I'm guessing they were from Nissan and they were $34 each. Most other VQ engines come with these plugs so I assume this means they are the standard plug?
not by my experience
I was quoted for LFR6AP-9 (std), LFR6A or LFR6AIX-P (opt)
but I have a turbo so that may explain the difference

I found a local supply of plfr6A-11's so I'll go with that @ $30 each kiwi. $20 cheaper per plug than Nissan NZ's quote and available at short notice.

Who has done this? What did it cost? I'm at 140 k and thinking it's time I did it but finding it will be quite an expense.

DARWIN - Try before you buy, or risk getting burnt.
A man who had just bought a used car for $8,000 was about to refuel at a Darwin petrol station when it was engulfed by flames.
The 26-year-old was driving through Berrimah when he noticed sparks and flames beneath his new purchase.
When he pulled into a Caltex service station to fill up the tank shortly before 8pm (CST) on Thursday night, there was smoke and flames coming from under the vehicle, police said.
Aware of the petrol all around him, the driver rushed into the station and alerted the console operator who immediately shut down the bowsers.
By then, the car was well alight.
"Police and fire units attended the scene to find the Nissan Skyline Coupe engulfed in flames near bowsers at the service station," police said in a statement.

I paid NZ$1450 plus gst for my front rotors and calipers and new pads plus 4 repalcement wheels, 2 of which had to be reconditioned inclusive.
-
Don't know if this helps but I just got a set of R34 GTT front brakes - 4 pot calipers, 310mm rotors and a set of little used pads for NZ$295 delivered. I expect to get between $0 and $30 for my old ones. [Just as an aside i would guess by picking up the box of bits that i have just added back the unsprung weight that I lost by getting light weight rims!]
that seems awfully cheap

I got me one of these bad boys and it's mounted just above the air vent on the right hand side of the steering column
if it hadn't have been for this thing's voltmeter flashing I would have been oblivious to the radiator incident I had recently whereby the fan shat the belt driving the alternator
-
I would have had after last weekend but it proved to be too much of a mission as basically the whole dash and console has to come off to get at it and it just wasn't cost-effective for me to do it after having gone through all this just some weeks ago to install my new amp.

go to autolign and ask them they should be able to help you with some bilsteins for $800 or so
-
you can't be far off that then can you?
-
or even better R34 GTT's
this is what I have now I think on the front, standard rears
needed new rims and some drilling and clearance is just sooo fine of caliper to the rim barely more than a mm but looking and feeling good

Is the warranty worth the paper it is written on ? or has anybody had trouble like " sorry mate thats not covered under this warranty "
Also i read many pages back in this thread that the price in New Zealand for a h/light was $2500 for a M35 ? is this correct and are most other parts and panels going to be up there in the pricing ?
any help appreciated , Lindsay
I bought my warranty from drive right for a grand and has been good
2 claims so far for radiator or fan issues and no fusses got my towing paid for on last one and that wasn't cheap so all good there too
you have it correct on the headlight price - very expensive - xenon unit too, could be more now with exchange rate
it pays to be fully insured

It would be cool if you could push something and some lil Japanese guys would come from nowhere and change your tires and fill your fuel.
lil jap girl keeps on telling me to brakey you whenever I push something

shit stag, you got the troubled rs4.... is the car being driven in cold weather always? ie connstant ambient temps below 10c? I work with fire trucks made by rosenbauer (austrian company) most, if not all of their trucks are designed to work in constant ambient temps 10c and below... have heard of a few problems with operating in warmer climates (more so going from warmer to colder to warmer to colder climates alot, seasonal stuff)... how is your weather?
good point maybe
but more a problem of age of equipment perhaps as both incidents of cooling failure occurred in winter or colder autumn weather
the turbo is just one of those things as others here will no doubt agree
-
my bitches:
turbo blew 80 odd k
top radiator split at filler neck 100 odd k
viscous fan shat itself and ruptured radiators 138 k
other than that is a fine piece of work, very well sound insulated and pulls/pushes like a train
2001 rs4 250 t (cold weather edition)
