  1. My wife says the engine light comes on occasionally on her r33 gtr .Any ideas what it could be?

    Cheers

Small world David, I work with a friend of yours (fatz might ring a bell). Loving the vmax!

Does the engine light come on and stay on or does it flicker? Do you know if she noticed any other issues when the light comes on, like loss of power or anything?

  2. YES SPOTTED FARK ABOUT TIME BEEN TOO LONG!!! lol

Were you going through the roundabout, or were you behind me on Johnson? I was merely thinking about gambling - whether I hit boost or not! hmm...haha I fking hate having to drop back to 1st at that intersection, always best if I can coast through in 2nd!

I was coming from Tharwa Drive (Theodore). I can understand not kicking back to 1st in the 33, just everyone else that cuts me off going through that roundabout gives me the shits cause (esp in the wet), thats a slippery corner and the subie's grip levels aren't the best even at low speed. I just don't want to hit anyone.

I was actually watching you closely with the window down to hear if there was any 'sustained loss of traction' happening :)

  3. Thanks Troy! Much appreciated.

For anyone wondering (Reece possibly), I'll still be heading to the track and skidpan if I can sell it. In fact, I'd probably be at the track more often if I can.

Have some ideas in my head on a way forward which will also allow me to save for a house deposit.

This car is very nice to drive and always puts a smile on my face. There has been no issues with this car at all, has not been on a race track (not including defensive driving / skidpan at Sutton Driver Training Complex) and have owned it since first imported in 2007 by Joel @ Excite Auto in Sydney. The car is not a daily driver since September last year as I had picked up a little run around with a tow bar. All servicing has been done by Trojan Motorsports on regular intervals and has also had the 100,000km service done. Engine, Transmission and Diff all run on high quality Motul oils. My engineering certificate was done by Ray Spence who is well known for being thorough in his work. The engineering report covers the FMIC, Exhaust, Wheels, Tyres and passes ACT Rego Inspections.

The price is negotiable and will sell for less without the Wheels and Tyres Combo. I have spare / original parts such as: Standard SMIC, standard diff, standard wheels with 90% legal tread, a larger cannon exhaust (not suitable for road use), an adjustable exhaust (not suitable for road use), standard Hicas unit, standard turbo, standard injectors, standard ecu, pod filter plus fibreglass enclosure, extra non-return flow FMIC with piping.

No joy rides or tyre kickers.

  5. I cop the same thing on Monaro, Mick.

I'm usually sitting on around 95 up over the hill from Theodore (which is usually behind another car that is doing 95, i'm happy to mosey along in the morning), and then yeh, same deal.. Last time it was a Red Lancer (possibly evo V), so many people dont understand, 'time and place'..

  6. I think you will be in trouble away from the 33, unless your thinking evo.......

I think I got you in a skyline though. RWD vs AWD isn't fair, how bout you lend me a Subie and we can battle :D

Challenge accepted! Except my subie is an auto with a broken front cv.. Meh I'll still give it a crack :bunny:
