  2. yeah, ok now it's summer thats fine, and in winter when u drive through a big puddle and suck a f**k load of water up into your intake and turbo via your pod behind the front bar, they already make water to air intercoolers, u don't need pod filter to puddle f**k your turbo and motor setup, just slap it in behind the headlight, the intercooler will do it's job, i use a laser tempreture gauge to measure intercooler cores temp and use the iat at the pod on the dyno, if u have a decent cooler it will work fine
  3. actually k&n won not only with best flow or best filtration but a combination of the two, some had great flow but shit filtration, some had good filtration but shit flow, i suggest if u want noise buy an el cheapo pod for f**k all and spend money on an alluminium intake pipe to the turbo, plenty of noise, or just get an external wastegate and sell your stereo!! then u wont worry about a shitty woosh woosh, sounds like my washing machine coming on boost anyway
  4. well u are affecting air flow signal, and the cut sounds like and afm problem, did it come off a running car, cos i have seen these stuff up b4 and ppl changing ten afm before realising that it was the safc all along, also did u hook up the wires right, remember when piggy backing with ecu's u have to double check everything, sometimes the hardest problem is the easiest thing, recheck all your color codes and the in and out signal wires, make sure u went of the right diagram.
  5. it's funny how u shit can mechanics when it takes em 4 years to become qualified in a technical feild and are responsible for the lives of nearly everyone u see on the roads, yeah do it at home so a mechanic doesnt screw you the shitty sum he charges you, compared to and electrician or a plumber, just remember- make sure u pack those wheels bearing right so the wheels dont lock up on the freeway and cause accidents or death, or did i tension those caliper bolts correctly? tension whats that?? i didn't read about how a bolt should feel on the internet hmm, it's called experience, sure you will get things done on your own and the net is an exxcellent resource, but when it f**ks up where does everyone go, well they don't use yahoo answers or wikipedia, they call us blokes who get dirty for a living and say i'm stuck can u help me, and a majority of the time for the diy enthusiast i will offer free advise or if it takes a minimal amount of time there will be no charge, so shitcan mechanics but remember who your parents took the cars to for servicing and brakes before that family trip, maybe u wouldnt be here reading this if dad or his mate jack made a boo boo all those years ago, nope it was the bloke with the dirty overalls getting paid f**k all for your survival... remember your not always paying for your arse to be ripped, and sometimes peace of mind is costly but it's better than rest in peace of mind..
  6. ok i need this clutch kit gone, it's an exedy twin plate with exedy flywheel, croydon are selling em for 2 grand, the clutch is excellent and not far off the price of a single plate upgrade so for $950 its a bargain.. or make a reasonable offer.. u know u want! doesn't shudder on take off, still good to drive in traffic, won't give you a big left leg lol, im an auto bloke now so i also have the master and slave cylinders aswell as the pedals so $950 going.. going.. take it also 33 rear bar $40 white in color, im in melb, northern suburbs
  7. this is pretty old hey, for something to do here we go 040 pump 250 fitted injectors 850 fitted malpassi reg 220 fitted cooler 800 fitted exhaust 1300 fitted turbo(not chinese) garrett, trust etc, manifold, external gate and braided lines 4500 fitted ecu-microtech 1100-no afm!, measure pressure at the point in which it will enter the engine not before it enters the afm which u will have to upgrade, then the turbo, then through piping, then through intercooler, then through more piping, then through throttle body and iat sensor also. you get my point. or motec or autronic, might blow the budget, again no afm! world class can't argue with their pressure measurement tune-600 clutch, well i've got an exedy twin plate kit for sale, yours for only 950!
  8. just get another ecu that uses map sensor instead of afm, otherwise u will be chasing tails over and over, not that pfc are crap but i would have had enough at z32 maxing out and now thinking of running dual afm, no chance, use the new microtech, for what pfc's are worth now you could easily change to a microtech, and nearly anyone can tune them.

  13. ok boys n girls, r33 gearbox damn good condit, $1200 but will consider not shitty but decent offers 3 month old exedy twin plate paid 1850 going for a GRAND, damn i'm a cheap whore, umm yeah they are still in the car and my damn powerglide is sitting next to it, so come on, test drive the car with the box and clutch, realise it's sick and i'll rip the bugger out in 30 mins, take it home and realise you just picked up a bargain!!, then tell all your mates and everyones happy, well maybe not, but u get a box at a good deal and i get to fill the hole with an auto and then stuff a big engine in after that, yay, so do it come on u know u want to, all interested parties im in melbourne and it's summertime so that means, umm more f*kin beer!!, ciao Stevie..

  16. could be afm on the way, but could also be fuel pump or module, do u have and safc?, i've seen em f**k up and ppl change afm but no avail, all sorts of shit to consider just depends on circumstances, what revs was it dying at was the car hot or cold, did it die tottally or was it popping and farting, you can bridge the wires under the dash inside the fuse panel lid for OBD and use the computer to tell u the fault code, if the afm has a problem the computer will have stored it as a fault code, otherwise u might want your mechanic to put a fuel pressure gauge on your line and check the pressure. good luck
