  1. Hi Sau I have recently been hearing front left strut making a noise when going over a bump or a dip etc. Like suction noise. Recently seen grease leaking from front left area around bushes etc. I would say my strut is borked! Now when importing the car it came with twin superstreets and it's nifty controller. EFDC or whatever it's called. I'd like to possibly keep everything and repair the strut it that's even possible? Would anyone know any places in Melbourne what repair coilover struts? Does anyone know approx costs for repairs? Especially if I was to remove and take only the strut? Eagerly await your comments.

  3. Thanks for the replies, I am excited, ive saved for a long time.. To, manual kasko.. what did u import and what was paid in total in au $ How many yen was the car in japan also? To, primo... thanks buddy, I will look you up when I am ready for advise But usually. If going it alone.. whats the first few steps.. I read I must choose an import method.. there are several to pick from.. ie depends on car type.. I got confused when I read that.. Something about a private use car and must use a specific document to fillout and get a import permit.. Lastly, if I choose a service provider. Do they charge approx 1000$ because they help source a car, if the import process is all is required do you think it would be cheaper.. I dont mind paying for an expert to take care of all documents.. but gotta be reasonable. Thanks again guys.. I will call my buddy in japan tomorrow and get an idea of what im looking for etc

Hi guys, I looked for a few skylines yesterday and saddened me to see some of them are kept in shitty condition I got a few engine tuner friends in japan who said they would be more than happy to find me a mint r34 gtt manual Who should I call to have that car brought into aus.. Importing procedure, shipping, complience etc... Possibly payment for that car Any advice is happily accepted.. id be willing to try it all myself but might need help along the way.. ive done crazy intercountry travels in the past and did it myself eg, animal across a country and moving personal posessions through freight forwarders so I may have some experience there. Thanks guys..
  5. Hi guys, Im interested in buying a skyline, its gotta be a r34 gtt manual coupe, perfer white... Im concerned about a few things, First, the chassis badge was embossed and silver not the blue one that its suppose to have I have painted part of the attached image for seller saftey. This car is listed on carsales, is a white car for 18k in victoria. This car also has a exaust leak near turbo, you can smell and hear that, plus feels a loss of power sometimes.. Owner did timing belt himself, that also concerns me and noticed replaced cas, and was positioned full left.. dunno whats going on there. Front of body has previous accident can tell due to lfront lights have a gap on left, not on the right. Apart from that body is immaculate. ,..... 2nd interested car. This car had a blue smooth chassis plate.. I feel engine was very well looked after.. smooth as silk when driving and restarting. tho engine was running when arrived, prewarmed reason was flat battery and not driving it so much A white r34 gtt for 15k on carsales in vic.. anyone recently test drove that car? I really like it but the body need alot of tlc.. few rust points and paintwork is average.. boot had like bolt holes, like I said a fair bit of tlc Would buy this if price was right. Oh....... My main concern was it veers to the left.. please weigh in on this comment please... I didnt see evidence of accident damage and might be need of a alignment is all.. Based on info for car 2.. seller asks 15k Whats a normal price to offer him?

  10. I want to know where I should put my Pipe from the rocker cover, it goes to my catch tank, then where? I looked at the manual for RB25DET and it shows it is JUST Before the Throttle Control! any ideas would be grouse! that is an old word...
  11. yeh it was weird.. my EBC is set to sit around .7-.75bar! when I lowered the pressure it went to .88bar! so that confirms that $%^#ing with the fuel pressure does shit all but makes the top end a little better... but it's well worth gettin a fconv.. that I am in 1 month after I do the twin turbo setup:) thanks for that!!
  12. Hi, My friend said to add 0.5-1 BAR to my SARD Fuel pressure reg. as I wanted to run .8-.9 BAR of boost on standard everything! he said it would protect the engine.. okay, not the issue here! I wanted to know how I should go back, I understand it as this... I unplugged the Vacumm hose and left it open? or put a screw into the hose??? anyway i left he hose open. I then turn the regulator screw to 3BAR (44psi) plugged the vac. hose back in.. and idle sat around 2.5bar!! that worried me a little so I upped the pressure for idle about 2.8-2.9BAR when I rev the engine it goes up to about 3.4- 3.5 Is it suppose to be 2.5 idle and 3bar under revs OR 3bar idle 3.5bar revving What are the correct numbers? Reasons for this.. High fuel consumption and also running low boost of about 0.7.. It was previously at about 3.5bar idle and revved to about 3.9bar a little high dont you think?
  13. I dunno about the ecu.. it is stock but the old sr20 did high boost no problems and same as other rb25 users can do 1 bar!! any other ideas, but i will look at the plugs & pipes!
  14. hi, I got the rb25det i've been wanting for so long and put into my car, But I am having some problems boosting above .6 I have a walbro pump and sard regulator stock injectors and everything is stock the turbo is stock too My electronic boost controller is the Greddy E01, I've tried all sorts of settings but the boost wont go higher then 0.6 before it starts going burrrrrr and very hesistant boost cut or some thing like that. it's fast until it gets really close to the 0.6! I have set the setting to about 0.55 and sometimes i get micro hesistations! at .55 but not many as i keep rolling the setting lower until it is smoother! but the largest problem is the boost! I wanna try 0.8 or even 1 bar but cannot go that high. the engine was imported from japan and has very low km/s about 20-30,000 kms had the ports polished and all that! and put the new gasket so it sound great! anyone can tell me stock engine is okay at 0.8-1bar? and what are your ideas? thanks guys!   15. hey aussie fellas, First i'd like to start by saying hello and I am new here.. I am known at the nissansilvia forum as same username... I really need some help with some non ca18/sr20 engine questions.. I am going to buy a rb25det on tuesday in bangkok.. yeh I live in thailand, but born in melbourne! I really need to know what is the stock turbo on a r33/r32 rb25 engine. is it the T28? has anyone here tried a twin T25 on a RB25det to make a RB25DETT or what about 2x T28 turbos on a rb25DET to make a RB25DETT with 2xT28 anyone know of how many HP it would make as a 2wheel drive on a dyno etc... or 1/4mile times.. any infos you have will be so happy!
