  1. at calder we have our own specs, you will be checked to make sure you meet the guidelines for the 200km/h club once you have run your 200km+ pass. you will also have to meet the safety requirements but these depend on the times and speed you are running. if you run a time or speed that requires you to have certain safety equipment eg, harness, cage etc and you don't have them you will just be told to fit the appropriate eqiupment
  2. Yeah you will need some spare tyres. You can run stockies or just bring a spare set of tyres as we will have a free tyre changer on the day. When you ring to book ask for Brad and I'll go through all of the requirements with you
  3. Most of the cars are between 10 and 12 seconds. I didn't get given times for them all though. I'm pretty sure they are running the event DYO so as long as they can run close to their dial in times thats all that matters!!

After the success of our first Drift Skills Day, Calder Park and the Victorian Drift Club are proud to announce Drift Skills 2 This day is aimed at improving the basic drift skills of all drivers, from absolute beginners to well practised drifters. The state's best drivers, including Michael Truscott, Luke Fink, Khudar Elhaouli and Chris Dejager, will be on hand to give you personal advice and tips. While the technical side of drifting will be addressed, the emphasis will be on practical skills and so you will spend most of the day in your car doing various exercises. And at the end you'll even get some time on the main Calder Park circuit to show off your newly polished skills. The day will run from 9am-5pm and a barbecue lunch is included with the $160 entry. Bring your car and a helmet, wear long pants and long sleeves and you'll be set for the day. Drivers need to pre-enter by calling Calder Park on 9091 0800. Spectators are welcome too, $10 entry on the day includes lunch. Tyre chaning facilities will be available on the day, free for drivers. The schedule for the day is as follows: 830 - Gates open 900 - Driver registration 915 - Driver briefing 1000 - Technical class 1030 - Prac session 1 1130 - Prac session 2 1230 - Lunch 1330 - Prac session 3 1420 - Prac session 4 1510 - Prac session 5 1600 - Event wrap up 1615 - Hit the main track 1700 - Close of day. So to sum up the details: Calder Park, Sunday November 4th. 9am sharp - 5pm. $160 to drive, $10 to spectate. Lunch included. Drivers must pre-enter by calling Calder Park on 9091 0800. Tyre changer available free for drivers (within reason). Bring your car, a helmet, long pants and long sleeves.

The Exclusive "200km/h Club" Membership is only open to those who can crack the 200km/h barrier over the quarter mile in their street car. This is no mean feat so only the best drivers piloting the best machinery will be granted entry into official 200km/h club!! Upon entry to the Club, Members will receive; A members ONLY T-shirt Certificate displaying their exact km/h reading and elapsed time A car sticker A mention on the Calder Park website and not to mention a heap of bragging rights Conditions: Vehicle must have current registration Vehicle must be running on street tyres (dot approved semi slicks permitted) Exhaust may be removed and Nitrous Oxide is permitted Think your worthy of joining the 200km/h club??
