  1. i will definately consider a swap to a FAMILY car to the value of $20,000 and $36,000 to pay out my loan if that interests anyone?

  3. So the motul 75w90 is the goods. pheww... i have every confidence in X-Speed its just that when i got home, i realized he didnt ask me what type of gtr the oil was for.
  4. I know its been covered a million times but i just cant seem to get a straight answer from the search engine, all 8 pages X-Speed gave me Motul 75w90 LSD for my rear diff. It just seems really thin to me and people seem to talk of the 75w140 alot for this diff. I just spent $1200 completely replacing crown wheel and pinion and all bearings and seals...... the last thing i want is the wrong oil! much apprieciated
  5. Well you have posted the question now. Too things. 1. Good idea, you will save heaps on purchase price and there is heaps of variety. The savings on Stamp Duty alone paid for 2 way airfair. You must have the seller agree to let you use there address to register the car in your name (but at there address) in order to pay Eastern S/duty rate. (on 50k, there is approx $1500 difference from melb 2 perth) 2.Transport cost $750ish with Toll/TNT. dont believe them when they say you will get your car in 5 days.....generally 2-3 weeks by inclosed train carriage. Sight the vehicle yourself.....dont fall for letting the seller get an M.O.T. inspection. The MOT insp doesnt seem to pick up on much......i.e. accident damage. hope that helps.
  6. Hey all, myself and 4 others have booked the track for 6th November. There will be only 5 of us so we can do 2 laps at a time. Private events are best because there is only 5, so no sharing!! between the track and snake pit, you can be basicly doing something the whole 2 and a half hours straight. The down side is its $100 a head..... the price you pay for impatience! please call me ASAP if you are keen 0414 631 981
  7. yeah but were do you find a r34 diff for $500-$600?
  8. i had the car major serviced 13,000km ago (who claimed to have done diff oil) with a new mob in welshpool. it was around this time i noticed the noises. since then i went to Xspeed who changed it again(8000kms ago), but mentioned it had the wrong colour oil in it, and it didnt looked changed in a long time as a lot of metal shards on the magnetic drain plug. I think this might be the root of the prob. I would hate to know of the price for a s/hand r34 gtr diff. i think im going to just pull it apart with my bro this weekend and get some bearing numbers. try that first before getting crown wheel from japan.
  9. Hey all. Since an AHG track day it started with a light humming at 60-70kph. Gradually got worse over the last 2 months. Not a constant whine from start-up, but only around certain speeds NOT under load, and you can play with the noise by lightly pressing the accelarator at low speed -More noticable when coasting or slowing down for corners. -gradually has gotten higher pitched and more constant as the days go by. -now, at a high speed it brakes into a unbearable high pitched whine. W.A. Diff centre went for a lap in the car and in full confidence, assured me it will be the crown wheel and pinion in the rear diff. Everyone else i speak to (without test driving) say that at 50,000kms this should not be the case and it should only be bearings. The GTR diff is very tough. The crown and pinion is $1200 new ex japan but non refundable. i dont want to go and do all the bearings and find out it was the crown; i dont want to do the crown and find out it was just the bearings. shed any light?
  10. Brad had a look 4 me and he is gonna fit Poly nylathane castor bushes which should help the cause. The wheel that sits forward in the guards has a genuine gtr arm. The other side (thats evenly spaced in the guards) is aftermarket? wierd. Replacing the control arm is out of the question coz they are alloy and big $$. the 34R arms arnt straight like 32/33 so you cant tell if they are bent anyway. have to see how it goes.
  11. I didnt hit her ashneel. her ex hit her. I had the car M.O.T. inspected in Melb whilst i was in Perth. The police inspection found 'NO ACCIDENT DAMAGE' so i paid the dude a hefty deposit. When i saw the car for the first time it was TRUE LOVE i was at a strange train station in taralgon? and it was like what i think HEROIN would be like...I was heading for Victoria at 150kph before i started noticing things(coming down). dumb i know.....but the skyline made me do it.
  12. Sorry to hear about that........ I notice something suspicious about the car everytime i inspect it. -bad front end paint work( REALLY BAD) like who resprays a $60,000 car in there backyard!

  14. Hey Brad, your opinion would be much apreciated! i am going to attend the country cruise on the 30th, if you are there i wouldnt mind you driving it to see what you think. the panel beater said leave it..... but i think the 'pulling to the left' sometimes dangerously takes over when giving it a real hard time. If you not coming to cruise im local to you. thx
